ooc - I'm interested in figuring out what the wheel was supposed to do. maybe by fixing the mechanism if anyone's got tools to do so. Sadly, I did not think to buy any of the tools Arden is good at using. He still has tremor sense active if it hasn't been 10 minutes. And he does move closer to the double doors to inspect them. Detect Magic doesn't ping the doors at all?
Arcana - 6 (for the runes) History - 16 (any useful info about the doors)
Arden strode up to the double doors, his eyes running over the craftsmanship more than the runes carved into them. He rubbed his beard thoughtfully, curiosity plain on his face.
"Ye think that wheel contraption back there’s got somethin’ tae do wi’ these doors? I’m no mage, mind ye, but I know my way ‘round good buildin’ work."

The doors themselves are not magical. The runes are intense magic.
South Room
Behind the door with the handaxe is a 10-foot-square room with a 1-foot-thick, 5-foot-diameter stone sharpening wheel set into the floor. Pressing down on a stone pedal previously turned the wheel, but the mechanisms under the floor have seized up with age, and the wheel no longer turns.

This is 2014 warlock and I thought we were doing 2024. Now I'm not going to not allow some mixing and I may have already said it's ok to do so.
OOC - When the familiar drops to 0 hit points, it disappears, leaving behind no physical form. It reappears after you cast this spell again. As an action, you can temporarily dismiss the familiar to a pocket dimension. Alternatively, you can dismiss it forever. As an action while it is temporarily dismissed, you can cause it to reappear in any unoccupied space within 30 feet of you. Whenever the familiar drops to 0 hit points or disappears into the pocket dimension, it leaves behind in its space anything it was wearing or carrying.

The only hiccup I have with this is ----As an action, you can temporarily dismiss the familiar to a pocket dimension. Alternatively, you can dismiss it forever. As an action while it is temporarily dismissed, you can cause it to reappear in any unoccupied space within 30 feet of you.
So yes the familiar can go to a pocket dimension but then it says you can cause it to reappear in any unoccupied space within 30 feet of you. You can't see beyond the door to know if there is an unoccupied space. It could be barricaded beyond the door or a monster standing right there. My point here is you don't know where an unoccupied space is beyond the door.
Let me think on it.

(Didnt think it had to be a place i could see. Otherwise it would have the language like “and your familiar can reappear in any unoccupied space you can see within 30 feet”. Had always assume the magic was smart enough to rehydrate him in an unoccupied space.
Note : this is from the magic users base find familiar spell Not a warlock per say The functionality is frommthe find familiar spell Warlock simply get new forms added as options
wordings from both find familiar spells look pretty similiar
this is wording from 2014 spell in comparison

OOC - Here are the options. I am going to rule it technically is not allowed, but I will allow you to do so at the risk of the imp not reappearing in an unoccupied space and dying. The chance is 80% failure modified by a perception check at the door for sound that a creature is present. I'll reduce the percentage based on the following formula
Zertell Passive perception (25)% and/or roll Perception check you have adv from shield and can use guidance max then 34 potentially but not for sure either. I will allow you the option to use either the roll or the passive after the roll.
Let me know what you want to do.

thanks.. ill pass on the math as its really not all that good to just have something pop 10 feet on the other side of door above head height.. is the door all the way to the floor (ie air tight)?

Capa dumps a flask of oil into the mechanism and starts to pull, gently at first then with her strength. “This will move it,” she says in a confident flat tone.
OOC - It doesn't have an option to fix it...That said.
The team put some oil and muscle into it and manage to get it to work but poorly. It doesn't effect the door in anyway when moved.
Actions:
Arden can roll a perception check with adv.

((So i can have the familiar go to pocket dimension then appear withing 30’ of me. Can place him on the other side of the doors and still invisible))
zartel pulls the imp into a pocket dimension then has him recalled on the other side of the door and uses bonus action to see through its senses
OOC - I'll need to see the mechanics of it to be sure it is usable.
