Cleggor was getting ready for serious battle with this giant Ettin, but now he starts to relax, Ollie flying over his head and then landing on his shoulder, he visibly relaxes. “Really? Yes, why trade is much better than fighting Jibber and Jabber. Much more civilized. We are not looking to steal your stuff, but trade is another matter. We’re just moseying through these parts, really trying to find our way through this maze. Fellow travellers, as it were. So, much obliged. It’d be mighty kind to sit and talk with you, trade and hear more about you.” Cleggor gives a thumbs up to the big Ettin.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
You notice the following features of the ettins home and surroundings:
Stalactites. Needle-sharp stalactites stud the 30-foot-high ceiling.
Fungi. Barrelstalk, bluecap, and ripplebark fungi grow in irregular patches throughout the cavern.
"Would you like some Mead I can make from my alchemist friend not far from here. A good friend to give us compost that transforms the water in barrelstalk mushrooms into mead."
Jibber had some mugs over as does Jabber, "This good stuff. Maybe you give me some good stuff too. Coins, gems, stuff make my place look good. You know for wall or floor. Maybe I let you harvest some stuff too. Me can tell you about stuff in the caverns. You give me good stuff or no deal."

Cleggor begins to make himself at home with the Ettin, rearranging and coaxing any fire that is going, setting up things just so. He sets down his pack and then pulls out some cooking utensils. "Oh, thankee, Jibber Jabber. I have some special cooking skills. I can maybe help YOU out with cooking some of that bluecap and ripplebark for ya. And... I can make it such that it heals you when you eat it as well! Whatcha say? My pappy and my granpappy passed on down some skills in the culinary arts. I can make it feel like it sticks to your ribs as it were, that it fills you up and makes ya feel whole, healed, and full. Would you like me to prepare a sample for ya? A little taste, then if you're keen on it, I'll make some more. While I'm cookin', we can chat about this place and how ya ended up here and everything."
Cleggor uses his chef's feat to make hearty, healthy snacks out of the materials available, offering a portion to each party member and a double portion to the Ettin.
Replenishing Meal. As part of a Short Rest, you can cook special food if you have ingredients and Cook’s Utensils on hand. You can prepare enough of this food for a number of creatures equal to 4 plus your Proficiency Bonus. At the end of the Short Rest, any creature who eats the food and spends one or more Hit Dice to regain Hit Points regains an extra 1d8 Hit Points.
Bolstering Treats. With 1 hour of work or when you finish a Long Rest, you can cook a number of treats equal to your Proficiency Bonus if you have ingredients and Cook’s Utensils on hand. These special treats last 8 hours after being made. A creature can use a Bonus Action to eat one of those treats to gain a number of Temporary Hit Points equal to your Proficiency Bonus.

Jibber and Jabber nod to each other, "Here is a bit of stuff going on around here. Spider people (drow) are living in the caves to the east. They are new neighbors. I just know they over there. The “fishy folk” (kuo-toa) and the “stinky lizards” (troglodytes) seem troubled and are moving about more than usual. Might be something near them not setting well with them, not the spider people.
