As the last small whisps of the specter disappear in thin air Aldun lies on the ground and sobs saying: "we were so uncareful and unprepared. We could've died. Look at the acolyte and those guards. That could've been us Dain." Then he sobs for a little more. "And what for. Fame? Beer? There's probably priests or battle hardened soldiers much better suited then us for things like this."
Remembering the vision he had he starts crying even more. Longer and louder. Remembering all the horrors years back. Reliving them. Memories he had hoped he had left behind getting back to him even more horrific and seemingly more real than before. He just lays there for a while waiting till the pain and everything numbs or just disappears. He doesn't know.....
This wouldn't have happened if he prepared better and longer. Gathered more knowledge. Yes that's what he needed to do. Just learn more and prepare better so he would be able to respond to situations like this in an appropriate way. Quick and hard. And without mercy.....

A little more used to the hard life of a soldier than Aldun, the loss doesn’t hit him quite as hard, but he understands the sentiment from Aldun.
”sometimes it not about the immediate gains but about what we are fighting for as a whole. They gave their lives to help reclaim our land from these invaders… we just need to make sure they didn’t die in vain… and that they are put to their final rest.”
As you make your way back from clearing out the brewery, Aldun makes a connection the man in his vision and the wizard selling trinkets! They are the same.
You see signs of the dwarves that took their fallen and fled until you come within a few minutes of Kazduhr-Dum. What you find is signs of a fight and two large puddles of blood.
Aldun your passive investigation reveals skeletal tracks horse hoof prints and dwarven boots… within minutes of your arrival.
Tying the images together Aldun decides to not tell Dain for now but first see the stone lord. Dain is a lot of things but he'd probably first wanted to bash the guy to pieces instead of maybe luring him into a trap or investigate his tracks.
Anxiously Aldun looks around for a possible ambush. He hisses to Dain pointing at the puddles of blood. He casts mage armour on himself just to be sure and prepping a fire bolt for any surprise attacks.
"Danger has come to kazduhr-dum already. " Aldun whispers. "This looks like our companions were attacked by skeletons. Be aware!"
"Dain, remember that nutty wizard we were where I found this strange tankard?"(Taking out the tankard and showing it to dain).
"When we were in the brewery I had some sort of vision of the man. I saw him get bullied by some drunk dwarves. He probably deserved it but it's weird".

Yeah, that was a strange dude. Gave me this super awesome stone though… makes me feel invincible, like I’m as strong as granite.
(they really look dead, the guards and the acolyte?)
Aldun fires a fire bolt at the figure on the steed (rolled 17 for 3 fire dmg) and I move 30 ft the other way from where the figure is and yell to Dain "that figure is chasing the guards!”

very recently not like old undead… the fire bolt heads straight at the rider veering off at the last second, as his fingers flick out in response.
It looks like he is just watching, the dwarves get closer pulling weapons as they advance.

“No” Dain growls. “Using our own against us is dirty. Aldun, we cannot let this stand. We can’t let our allies exist like this.”
Holding his axe up higher he prepares to strike them down.
