You live in a land of trade roads, border towns, and uneasy peace. For generations, dragons have been feared but distant. Tales told in taverns more than threats seen in the skies. Recently, however, rumors have spread of increased sightings of dragons. Amidst these rumors are strange, robed figures where in their wake towns are stripped of wealth, and whispers of a great gathering of treasure with an unknown purpose.
When danger strikes, you will be faced with a choice: turn away, or step forward into something much larger than yourself. Your actions may draw the attention of allies and enemies alike, and before long, you may find yourself caught in struggles that shape the fate of Faerûn
It is a story where courage, wit, and loyalty may matter as much as the edge of your blade.

The campaign takes place in the Sword Coast of Faerûn
Short Backstory: A retired soldier looking to live out the rest of her days adventuring. Her ancestors fought during the time of troubles and she is still seeking her own story.
Appearance: Ancient, wrinkled, white haired dwarf woman with little time for politics, emotions, or arguing. She's slender for a dwarf, but still squat and powerful
Name:Seraphina Starbreeze Race: Half-Celestial (Custom) Class: Warlock (Celestial) Background: Courtier Backstory: A mysterious orphan girl found in the temple of the Moonmaiden in Silverymoon, Seraphina was brought up by the Selûnite sisters like a prophesized child and chosen of the Lady in Silver. As the rumours of dragons reach the courts of Silverymoon she knows it is time to offer her services to those who would stand against them.
Short Backstory: Born among the Uthgardt tribes roaming the Dessarin Valley, Smallpaw learned the hunt from wolves long before he could match his tribe’s warriors in strength. His small size meant he could not spar with his peers or so they thought…. Thus, the grey wolf remained his guide, teaching him the value of pack bonds and the strength in shared fangs. Now entering adulthood and still not fully recognized as a member of his pack, he decides to venture forth and take on the threats that lie in the broader region that is the sword coast.
Appearance: see character sheet portrait, but a young half orc, lean yet athletically built wearing tattered tribal garb. His messy black hair is loosely tied into braids as his golden eyes appear strikingly as he wears a confident grin in the midst of combat.
Backstory: Cast into the savage wilderness at a very young age, reasons unknown, a sobbing child would find a new "Mother" in a great and ancient oak tree, granting her shelter and protection within its mighty limbs. The child would grow, richly fed on the bounties of the land and wisened to the ways of nature, as well as the natural magicks therein. In time, she would grow high, a towering warrior of the world, a wild child in the the winding wood, heeding the whispers of the trees and protecting her stretch of forest from all that threaten it. Eventually, however, new whispers beckon her ear. Danger, they cry, o agony of the sky. Protect us from these horrors foul! And so the child goes - to the Coast to face this "agony of the sky."
Note: I recommend looking over her personality, ideals, flaws, etc, if she's chosen, since her backstory doesn't really represent her well in character, but simply mission.
Newer to pbp, but not dnd. I can send the pic over discord or another way.
Name: Ryo
Race: Reborn/elf
Class/Subclass: Fighter (Battle Master)
Short Backstory: Death haunts Ryo. Originally raised from the dead by a necromancer to be part of his army, she was a mindless zombie. For an unknown amount of time she severed her master, until a clash with clerics somehow brought her to wakefulness and broke her free. However, it did so at a cost. Her mind shattered, Ryo, as she was named by the clerics, began a new life and now travels the country seeking any clues on who she was before.
Backstory: Though once a promising student at the prestigious Arcane Academy of Strixhaven, Ellara found the rigid curriculum and endless theoretical lectures stifling. She was more drawn to the practical application of magic, yearning to feel the raw power of a lightning bolt in the open air rather than just reading about its properties in a dusty tome. The final straw came during her last year, when she was assigned to a project recreating ancient potion recipes instead of exploring the volatile ley lines she'd been studying in secret. Frustrated and disillusioned, Ellara packed her bags, leaving behind her unfinished spellwork and her professors' disappointed stares. She chose the uncertain path of an adventurer, seeking real-world challenges and magical discoveries that no classroom could ever offer, believing that true power is forged through experience, not rote memorization.
Race: Chromatic Dragonborn (Red) Class/Subclass: Barbarian (Totem). Also open to changing it to Paladin (Ancients)! Short Backstory: Thrax Vargharion was born to devotees of the Cult of the Dragon, raised in the belief that the strong must dominate the weak and that the age of dracoliches was nigh. Despite his twisted upbringing, he befriended a group of kindly centaurs and druids who were stewards over a glade near Soubar, but the relationship was cut short when the entire region was razed. The Cult of the Dragon sought to clear ground for an elder dragon's nesting site, and rained destruction on all who stood in their way. The indifference to the suffering and death of weaker beings curdled the final drops of faith Thrax had in the cult. Abandoning his family, he wandered for years as a simple sellsword and caravan guard, until a chance meeting with members of the Order of the Gauntlet in Neverwinter. Impressed by their virtue and antipathy to the cult, Thrax swore oaths and took up arms in their service, driven by the memory of the friends he lost. Despite his red dragonborn heritage, his new faith in Bahamut is unshakeable and teaches him blood need not be destiny.

Reminder that I am using the D&D 5e 2014 ruleset for the campaign and character creation. Plus, the expanded options made for D&D 5e 2014.
FYI - Now that it's down to just us 3, the party is both low STR and low INT.
Fixed

Name: Selma Windseeker
Race: Variant Human
Class/Subclass: Artificer/ Battle Smith
Short Backstory:
All Windseekers have hyperfocus issues.
In Selma’s case, it’s dragons. She loves them—all kinds, all colors, all sizes.
And she has one big dream: to make a dragon of her own.
So she studies them with relentless, almost manic enthusiasm.
When Selma hears about a dragon, she runs—not away, but straight toward it.
Sure, that might end with her being eaten alive by a giant reptile... but hey, that just means she can study it from the *inside*!
