Something is killing people in Palebank Village, and if the characters don’t stop it, they might be next.
Hello! I am looking for four brave adventurers to play in Critical Role’s Wildemount adventure, Frozen Sick. This is a 1st-level adventure that will bring players to 3rd level and, if we manage to finish it and we work well together as a group, we can see about continuing beyond.
A couple of notes:
I would like to use 2024 content exclusively, as that is what I am most familiar with at this point.
I am broke, and do not own any content on D&D Beyond or have a subscription. If you are able to share at least the 2024 PHB, that will give you a major leg up in considering you for the campaign.
I expect to be able to post multiple times a day, as I have tons of free time. I’d like it if people can keep up with that pace, but I won’t boot you if you can only post once.
To apply, comment here with:
Character name: Species: Class: Background: Ability scores: (4d6 drop the lowest, reroll 1s always) Backstory: (this might not affect much of the Frozen Sick adventure specifically, but if we continue beyond I will use it to shape the story of the campaign beyond)
I’ll accept applications until Monday morning (CST). Good luck to all.
Fjörn (Frosty) Rhimes LINK. (Frost-kin) Goliath Rogue (Probable subclass Phantom) Sailor background. used standard array but I’ll roll here and use rolls for stats. Ability scores: 16151315158
Backstory- Once a member of the Sea-Cucumber an iron clad warship, much too slow, and full of drama. Fjörn wanted to kill everyone on board but instead he went ahwaal. Since then he’s been drifting for a job or mission.
I have and can share content with my master tier account. I can scale character back to 1st level if chosen. Thanks for the offer.
I’d love to play. Is partnered content OK? Specifically, Grimm Hollow. I can provide and share my vast content.
Human
Sorcerer
Background: One of the Taken
Backstory
She was the village healer / herbalist or as some called her, the "white witch." The "incident" is shroded in long tales and cold stories. Maybe it was an attempt to save someone from a powerful curse, or a demonic pact she tried to undo, or maybe still a ritual to bring back the dead. The point was, it failed and ripped a part of her away; taken away. She never left, but for her it was an eternity. And, she did not come back alone. A powerful entity (her phantom) was now attached to her. Only she can see and hear it, but, in time, it will be able to mainfest itself.
Backstory: Rymbo is an Eislecross forward reconnaissance scout from the empire, originally from Hupperdük he was forced into the war effort after he lost his family's business to a competitor. He holds no love for the empire, but a jobs a job and he does his job well.
I used the 2024 rules as per your earlier request but for the story we’ll say he’s a Ravenite from the Wildemount setting.
Name: Beldalynn (Bell)
Species: Dragonborn (White)
Class: Barbarian
Background: Guide
Backstory: Bell left his tribe to find adventure and closer ties to nature. He has spent many years as a guide, protecting caravans and lone travellers alike as they made their way across the frozen north.
Character name: Kai Marrowind Species: Aasimar Class: Paladin Background: Acolyte Ability scores: 16 11 14 12 14 18 Backstory: Kai's father visited as often as he could. Because of his place in the Celestial Heirarchy that sometimes meant years between visits, but he told stories that kept ALL of her attention. Stories of battles centuries, even milennia ago, AND HE WAS THERE! Oh, yeah, there was also the story of how he met her mom and they fell in love. Which was nice but they're her parents, so, meh. Acolyte came as easily as Paladin to her so she had rounded spell choices.
