Character name: Eithne Yllirien Species: Wood Elf Class: Barbarian (subclass probably Tree) Background: Soldier Ability scores: Str 16 Dex 18 Con 18 Int 13 Wis 12 Cha 14 Backstory:
Some time ago, the community of the wood elf maiden Eithne was disastrously annihilated. Eithne remembers nothing else about it; no details. But something terrible must have happened, for since that distant day, when she awoke, in the middle of the battlefield where everyone else died (and where she must have been left for dead), the Voices have been a part of her.
Yes, the Voices... for Eithne hears voices in her mind. So many voices. Voices of the wood elves of her slaughtered community. Confused and left without anyone dear or that she can trust anymore, Eithne is forced to begin a wandering existence, but she also matures the decision to make the culprits pay at all costs for what they have done! And there's not a day that the Voices in her mind don't remind her of this.
Hey, I can content share any and all content needed, Subscription included, and unless it's like midnight for me (EST) i'll almost always be available to post.
This is my first time doing play-by-post on DnD Beyond so I have no idea how to roll for ability scores, so i'm just gonna use Standard Array.

Backstory: For this i'm gonna need some clarification on your setting DM, is it just unaltered Faerun? Or is there some changes? Such as your own original gods, changes to lore like the Spell Plague and the Blood War, etc.
I'm also more than willing to have a connected backstory with someone else, even changing my race and last name to be siblings, firstly cause it'd be fun, but also because it helps with roleplay and gives reasons as to why we're willing to fight and die for each other.
one time I rolled an 18, 17, 16, 15, 15, 15 recently - and I didn't use it because everyone else had lower rolls or had to default to point buy because they had dismal rolls.
Backstory Marston carried the light of his deity into the long darkness of the frozen wastes. His breath plumed like a cloud of incense in the air, a silent prayer of defiance against the biting cold. A thick, holy oil — blessed in his temple’s fire — kept the leather of his boots from cracking and his woolen cloak from stiffening. On the breast of his heavy, fur-lined tunic, the embroidered symbol of his god shone with a faint, steady light, a defiant star in the unending gloom.
He had to chuckle as the wind howled and tried to force him backward. He never thought he would be retturning to Palebank Village -- the place he once called home before entering the temple as a follower and, later, an acolyte. "The Wheel Turns," he muttered into the thick woolen scarf wrapped around his head and neck.
Quinn spent a decade leading groups through the treacherous canyons of the Whispering Divide. As a senior scout for the famed 'Trailblazer Guild,' Quinn was renowned for a memory for safe routes and an attention to detail. They ensured merchants arrived without a scratch and scholars returned with dusty, but safe, findings.
The turning point came during the disastrous hike a year ago. Quinn’s party was pinned down by a flash flood, forced to wait out the storm while a rogue, unknown adventurer—a reckless youth named Vane—ignored all warnings and successfully navigated a perilous bypass. Vane returned not only unharmed but with proof of a safe passage home.
The world Vane explored felt vibrant and real, while the world Quinn guided through felt like a dusty museum. Quinn silently left the Guide Service, trading the polished silver badge for a well-worn cartographer's set and a thirst for the unknown routes. She no longer want to show people the way; she wants to find the way that hasn't been found yet.
It seems super cool and I've always wanted to play an Exandria-based campaign, so I'd love to apply if you're still taking applications. (I know you said you'd be taking applications until Monday, but since the thread is still open, I figured I'd shoot my shot!)
Character name: Azrael Species: Aasimar Class: Bloodhunter Background: Acolyte Backstory: The acolyte of a splintered branch of a blood hunter order, Azrael was raised to believe themself to be a divine executioner - an extension of the Lawbearer's will. This belief of their role in the world was shattered upon learning that they had instead been the weapon of the Mother Superior, who used them to vanquish those that she viewed as enemies of the Order - those who worshiped 'heretic' gods, monstrous races, or any who practiced non-divine magic. Azrael railed against their Order, escaping the Mother Superior's grasp as they fled the only home they'd ever known. Now, they wander to the far reaches of Exandria in order to escape their Order's grasp, trying to come to grips with the lies that they'd been fed and searching for the true voice of their Celestial Guide that was drowned out by the Mother Superior.
Character name: Charis Xarai Species: Tiefling Class: Warlock Background: Acolyte Backstory: Ever since Charis was born, he was victim of hatred and bullied by the people of his town. His parents that were very religious showed him love, but only when no one was looking due to his fiendish heritage. Growing up with only one friend, they were separated once his friend became a part of the church, so he looked for someone that would help him in gaining the favor of his birthplace and it's people. That's when he heard a voice in his mind calling him, he followed and obeyed it's word to do a ritual that would grant him the powers he needs to achieve his goal. After gaining power, the voice told him to leave his home to strengthen himself, and so he did. Now he travels the world for power and the recognition he seeks so he can return home and recive the praise he lacked when he was younger.

I'd like the idea of connected backstories. We could make it that we are childhood friends in a very religious town/village where you were accepted as a cleric or paladin and I wasn't so I looked to be favored by other beings (planning on Fiend as patron).

I can reroll two abilities as those show I did have a 1.) Backstory: A traveling monk found me (sole survivor) as a very young child in a wagon train that had been destroyed/robbed by bandits. He was a loner in the woods and when I was entering my teen years, he took me to a monastery to continue my education. The Abbott released me the week before and telling me that i am welcome back, but I need to determine my future path. I was given an open ended quest to find how I personally can fit in this wonderful world. Once found, they can can take me back in, expanding myself even further.
