OOC @gm. No individual PMs, but a group one that we all can see will be beneficial. We can comment about time we need to be offline, you can place the island map & future compound/dungeon/floor maps/etc. there.
We can also ask questions like how common is magic? I wasn't sure if I blast falling birds that would make me worse then Satan?
In addition, I have lost which post has the island map?

The night has passed, and while Silverlining recovered from his injuries, MEP-RU took several forays out of the host to scan and survey the isle and its inhabitants. In the morning, as Vespera and Manny gather with the Dragonborn, Vespera posses the following.
"Merging with Vespera has cost me my ability to communicate directly with MEPs. Can either of you still communicate with MEPs? If so, can you determine the status of the MEP in the crystal, and get it's point of view of what happened?"
"Also, yesterday while Vespera was incapacitated, we both saw a vision of a pulsating spiral of light. We could feel power emanating from it, it was awesome. Somehow we knew that the birds were it's doing. And we could hear a soft far away voice saying 'Come to me child of chaos'. I don't know what that was, but it seems to be the source of the problems here. Obviously I would not cooperate with something that would so casually kill not only people but the animals under it's control."
Silverlining looks upon Vespera with puzzling eyes and a wonderment as he tries to determine what the Tiefling is speaking about. “I am sorry to hear that you have lost the ability to communicate with your ‘inner light’ my friend. Perhaps with time, and rest you will be able to reconnect with that which binds us all together.”
Unbeknownst to the monk, and only to those of a discerning eye, perhaps only to those with mechanical inclinations, there is a movement of the monks left index finger. It is ever so slight that even if a casual onlooker were to notice it, they may think it nothing more than a twitch. But to any MEP, or AI enabled equipment, it would be clearly a means of communication using the hexadecimal and binary code of machines.
The message, something like so, “MEP-RU still here, still capable. Continuing scans. Unsure of MEP-Crystal, will attempt contact and report. Have had a sighting of an anomaly, but different. Perhaps two opposite/opposing forces. Further investigations required. End transmission.”
After warning Vespera that it was going to be twitching her fingers, Harknail used all four fingers of Vespera's left hand to send binary coded hexadecimal digits for the simple message, "Message received. Awaiting results of investigation."
Meanwhile Vespera was answering Silverlining, "My inner light can communicate with me quite well. But it lost its mystic connection to both of your inner lights, so it borrowed my voice."
Vespera decided that "inner light" was a good description of the voice in her head that had somehow pulled her back from death. It was definitely a do-gooder, so light fit. And inner was obvious since it seemed to be part of her now.

Just send a private message to all 3 of us at once, with a subject of OOC thread or something like that. Many of the games I'm in use that.
I like how we each took a different approach to animating bodies, each with its own advantages and limitations 😀 Even though there were only 2 choices offered... (I tend to make weird characters)
MEP-RU works to concoct a desire in Silverlining to check on the spare crystal. It is currently unsure about the MEP in the current one, but figures if it is a power source and means to keep the area safe from undead, best to gain a knowledge of where the spare is and what it would take to replace it. The MEP has no objection if the other two want to look for the wayward individuals, however.
The Dragonborn says, “I am unsure what all happened yesterday, but I believe you each helped me in your own way. Since we appear to be stranded here for a while, what shall we do to assist? That crystal appears rather important to the area, I think I overheard tell of a spare. Should we seek it out?”
The villagers mentioned that the spare is in Heyton's Family Crypt. (marked as I on the village map, inside the village not out. Just a bit north from the grotto.)
The mechanical voice from Vespera says, "The crystal isn't going anywhere, we can check it out later. However two people lost outside the village may not live much longer, we should look for them first."
Vespera then sighs, think that looking for missing people sounded dangerous.
{HARKNAIL still prioritizes human lives above everything else.}
What you know from the villagers, is that people dont last long at all in the shroud. (10 min per lvl) Magicians can last longer (1h per level) and can use spells to push the shroud back.
Since the shroud appeared, the only way to travel has been in a convoy with magicians pushing the shroud, or by airship.
Vespera tries to reassure Silverlining, "Don't worry about the finger twitching, Harknail told me thats how the spirits inside of us talk to each other. Harknail, what was he saying?"
Vespera pauses for a moment as she listens to a voice only she can hear, then continues, "Sounds like we need to get a spare crystal and bring it with us to protect us from the Shroud. So first step is head to the crypt."
The villagers eagerly point you to the crypt. One that overheard your discussion says he will go find a suitable wagon that can take the weight or even a boat, in which word can be sent to the city for help after Anna has been found.
The Crypt is actually in regular use by Heyton. The key to access it is available to you after a little bit of time spent, because the person responsible for its upkeep is among the recently dead / killed and Heyton himself is missing atm as you know.
It is a big stone door, with the usual scripture and glyphs. It is closed and kept locked with couple of huge iron bars, which in turn are chained and padlocked together.

Manny agrees with the mechanical voice.
"Yes, let us find those who are missing."
GM - How do you plan to survive inside the shroud ?
Try to avoid it if it's visible.

MEP-RU communicates with the others via the hexa-decimal binary finger twitching of Silverlining’s hand.
”Spare Crystal, loaded on wagon/cart. Perhaps MEP-RU can operate like the other MEP in the current one.”
Silverlining grabs his hand and rubs it, stopping further transmissions for the moment. The Dragonborn looks to the others a bit nervous.
Vespera tries to reassure Silverlining, "Don't worry about the finger twitching, Harknail told me thats how the spirits inside of us talk to each other. Harknail, what was he saying?"

Vespera looks to see how the crypt is sealed. Is it locked, or just a big heavy door?
