Chokzay is an Aarakocra monk kicked out from his pacifist monastery after he used violence to rescue the monks from invaders. I purposely made his background fairly simple to fit in with whatever flavor of fantasy you'd like! :)

So far it looks like we have 2 flying monks, a Paladin, and a Cleric. Shaping up to be a strange party 😀

Greetings, I am involved with several vastly different but simultaneous real life events for the last week and next week.  If I can be a late comer I can join, but just not have the time in the next 48 hours to generate a character from a rule system I have no books on.

Edit Based on the make up I can generate the simple subclass offered via Beyond of either a fighter or a rogue.

Ok that should be fine, as from what I have heard, these things move pretty slowly.

If the DM creates a campaign in DNDBeyond and shares the join link, I can join and share my content so that everyone has access to the books I own. In that case you'll be able to use the link to create a character and have access to most of the options for a 2014 (or 2024) character. I haven't bought everything, but I have most of the books that are primarily character option.

Thanks, I can then set up a nice 2014 Rogue that is not limited by the free content.

As of 2/2 1107 EST I can only create a 2024 character.

Are we ready to start?

I have posted my character.

I'm ready. 

I've added my character (Pip Squeak) and started content sharing so those who need access to the 2014 rules can make their characters.

Alrighty here we go.

Part 1: Beginnings

You are in a tavern, sitting around a table(add player, the remnants of the old patron’s meal still at the table at which you are sitting. The tavern is mostly full, but not packed, providing a potential reason as to why your table may of not been cleaned before you sat down. Already a server is walking over the table, apologizing that the table had not been cleaned.

What would you like to do?

Pip was happy to be in the tavern, rather than out back salvaging for scraps in the trash. Still, old habits die hard, Pip started picking some pieces from the leftovers before where while standing on a chair.

Kwai Chang Caine or Caine

Caine walks in to the tavern and looks around for a seat.  (**) Seeing one Caine walks to an empty seat.  Seeing a small fairy like creature, he asks "Is this seat taken?"  Caine sits as he waits for the answer. 

Caine gets the server's attention and orders an ale, seeing the fairy eating the scraps, he says, "and order my new friend an ale as well"

**Caine was actually looking for coins on the table for the server.  when he sees an easy grab of coins he tries to grab tehm.

Sleight of hand 14

Syborin sits at the table in the midst of tying his hair in a loose top knot, he drops his shield gently on the floor next to him nodding at the dwarf and fairy in front of him, half gesturing to the scraps remaining on the table "Oh good, a crowded tavern usually means the food won't kill ya". Looking up at the waitress with a smile, "I'll have the same, and whatever food you've got goin' that's warm and cheap"

The hyacinth aarakocra looks up at the server with gentle, yellow eyes. "It's okay. No need to apologize. I'm sure you've had a busy day." he says. Chokzay fiddles with his bag, and holds a feathered hand out to the server. He unclenches his fist, revealing one gold piece. "Here. I can help you clean up after they're finished", he offers, looking to the others at the table. 

Rolling Perception for the waitress, with +2 to perception.(Seen this before).

She just rolled a nat 20 shit

She notices you trying to steal the coins and half joking- half not, she slaps your hand as you are trying to take them.

"l'll take that!" To the rest of you she says "We have some Ale, as well as some bread and the "chef's special", if you are looking for something cheaper." 

As a party, she now regards you as a bit cheap, but still within the range of the normal patrons of the tavern. 

To Chokzay she says "That should cover the costs, no work necessary."

She collects your orders and heads back to the kitchen.
