*The ex servants yeah. I don't necessarily have them, more so at your discretion you can help the party with a commoner need be.*
I don't usually play with background features set in stone like that, but if your character is an ex noble with an infamous brother, you'll definitely be recognizable enough to a lot of people that may want to help the party.

Hallo, I am a pan, NB (Demigirl?), chaotic ADHD mess of a furry.
I am Canadian, and yeah. I have been on DDB for a while, and the forums for one or two years. I do think it may be do for a username change one day; but today is not that day.

Just looked over the list of races you're providing, and saw several that look interesting. So instead of a Yaun-ti cleric, I think I'll be trying one of your homebrew races.
The one that interests me the most is Bladeborn. This is something I've seen in Web Novels. And even before then, it's similar to a character I once made for a short lived game. Rather than creating a body, this one was a ranger that could animate armor. It would use this to train others, but could function on its own with just empty armor.
I have some questions so that I can make an appropriate character.
Can a Bladeborn wield their actual body while in humanoid form? Or do they need to get a different weapon?
What happens to the equipment that the humanoid body is wearing when they go back to blade form?
They cannot wield their body as is, but I have several racial feats for them, and one does involve being able to summon a replica of their weapon selves to wield (with some other benefits ofc). They would need an actual weapon to hold, since their humanoid form is them transforming into a different body, rather than summoning a body to host. Most bladeborn would be made of the same or similar material to their weapon (glass, wood, metal, etc).
Also thank you for reminding me, I had forgotten to add that to the racial features, but their worn and carried equipment absorbs into their form similar to wildshape. RAW, it would look like this:
"You choose whether your equipment falls to the ground in your space or merges into your new form. Equipment that merges with the form has no effect until you leave the form."
OK, so the blade changes into a humanoid form, rather than creating a humanoid avatar. And equipment being carried just becomes part of the blade.
But I was surprised that the humanoid form would be made of the same stuff as their blade body. The stories I've read where swords become humanoid, they become flesh and blood (or at least appear that way).
So a metal sword would be a metal humanoid? That seems like it would make them harder to damage than a flesh and blood humanoid form. Or is it just a metal appearance, but is no harder to damage than flesh?
I have two ideas I'm deciding between:
Harknail: A ranger long sword, (a character I played many years ago)
Enne: A large two-handed sword who's father is a Demon Lord (who forged her), and mother is an ancient dragon (who's scales were used). Inspired from a Web Novel I like. It the story she likes being wielded by her dad. Neither of her parents are hostile to humans, they're the live and let live sorts. So as a character, she's now old enough to go on her own adventures.

*Also I can't find the warlocks in the doc. Sry for the trouble.*
I unfortunately don't have a warlock rework, but it's on my list. Pact magic needs fixing badly.

The reason I made the specific bladeborn become the same material as their weapon is because I gave them the construct creature type, so they dont have the standard weaknesses a humanoid may have (eating, drinking, etc). Harder to damage depends on the material and is negligible enough that it can be handwaved away to some degree (I didnt want to add +1 AC because they already get a bunch of other benefits) by saying their outer layer of the material is thin regardless of what material it is, so it can still be damaged like flesh. As for their internal anatomy, it would be more like a replica of humanoid anatomy made of their material (thin metal, wood, etc) filled with a more ichor or oil-like fluid to act as blood.
Both concepts look cool :) do you have any class in mind for the second one?

I agree, they have enough benefits, having AC bonus also would be a bit much.
A mostly martial class, not decided yet. Enne's dad is just brute force fighter, but there is also a hero in the family where she could learn fighting styles from. And plenty of magic users to learn magic from.
I'm leaning towards barbarian as the closest match to her dad's fighting style. Also can flavor the Barbarian unarmored defense as being made of tougher stuff. Note, she wouldn't be a classic dumb barbarian, she's actually going to school in the story, along with a vampire girl and a slime girl.

You can flavor it however you'd like, yes. I also enjoy a good barbarian with a brain.

I used the custom background as requested, but that didn't provide any starting gold when taking the equipment option. Most backgrounds provide around 10 GP for sundries and starting cash so that characters have enough for a tavern or inn at the start.
Still need to fill in height, weight, and such, along with making a character picture (Not using AI, I saw your note on that).
Awesome! I would prefer if you used the reworked version of barbarian though (linked in the OP), just because it’s a bit better than the typical 5e one which smoothens out the martial caster divide a little better.
If you need character images, I suggest pinterest, picrew, or a video game character creator you can take screenshots in :) I use baldurs gate a lot when I don’t feel like drawing.

Y’all, choose a class from this list: Bard, ranger, rogue, paladin, fighter, warlock.
he/they/washing machine. Roleplay and worldbuilding fiend.
I don’t actually use the pronouns washing machine in case anyone is that serious, I like washing machines tho.
I'm warlocking.
