He then draws a dagger in the other hand and follows after the others.

When Irtoslifts the raised floorboard, there is a sudden WHOOSH sound. Only instinct makes the small dragonborn move to the side as a tiny dart suddenly flies from beneath. It hits the wall with a quiet THUD and both Onji and Irtos can see the green liquid it's been dipped in.
A sack full of 200 gp rests in a small compartment beneath the raised floorboard.
You two can join the rest of the party and everyone can roll Initiative.
Meanwhile, once on the lower deck, Dirk senses a third creature lurking in the far end of the area. Not a zombie, but... a ghoul.

For simplicity, the two zombies are standing 15 feet from the base of the stairs as you descend. The ghoul is further ahead in the forward part of the ship, roughly 25 feet away from you.
The lower deck is flooded, making the entire area Difficult Terrain. This means every 1 foot of movement costs 2 feet. Effectively, everyone (including the enemies) will move at half-speed for this encounter.

Onji quickly guesses the Ghoul is the more deadly opponent but is out of range and moves toward the zombie.
As he strides toward the Zombie he reaches for his shield on his back then grabs his War Pick and attacks. Attack: 17 Damage: 10 If it with SAP he is at a disadvantage to attack.
OOC I have interception so I can reduce a neighbors damage FYI
Marin reaches the bottom of the stairs and realizes the water will slow everyone down so maybe having his bow in hand would be better. He slogs (using 10 feet of movement) forward sloshing water to get 5 feet closer to the zombies and ghoul. With the zombies now 10 feet away and the ghoul 20 he will use his last luck point today to get advantage on his thrown dagger attack at the ghoul.
Attack: 26 (rolled on character sheet) Damage: 13 piercing damage.
Marin will then sheath his sword as part of the attack and use his free object interaction to draw his bow, and he finishes by moving back 5 feet to where he started (uses another 10 feet of movement) and is now 15 feet away from the zombies again and 25 feet from the ghoul.

Dirk and Marin's arrows whoosh through the air one after another, blooding the ghoul as much as an undead creature can bleed. It lets out an ear-splitting roar, looking truly enraged as the shafts find their mark.
Meanwhile, Ash's fire bolt slams into the other zombie. The smell of burning, briny flesh suddenly fills the damp air as the fire momentarily scorches the creature's soggy remains.
At the same time, Onji has waded through the knee-deep water to one of the zombies (z2). He hits it hard with his war pick, nearly severing one of its arms with the force of the blow. It attempts to slam back at the dwarf with its soggy body. Attack: 16 Damage: 4
The raging ghoul waddles through the water and it too attempts to attack Onji as he is the closest target, using its claws. Attack: 19 Damage: 7
If it hits, Onji must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute.
Irtos moves up and looks into the hole to see the undead, but stays on top and just directs her spells from there. With a quick prayer and gesture she calls sacred flame down upon one of the zombies.
While Onji studies the portrait, Irtos notices a floorboard in the middle of the room that is raised slightly above its neighbours.
Dirk can slowly descend down the stairs. They are almost vertical and quite slick from the years of exposure and algae. Are Ash and Marin following?
