The radiant flame of the little dragonborn cleric engulfs the last remaining zombie. The creature writhes, a wet, gurgling howl of agony escaping its throat as the holy fire burns it. It stands for a final, flickering moment before the light fades, leaving behind only a charred, unmoving corpse that collapses heavily into the dark sand.
The beach falls silent once more, save for the gentle lap of the tide, the smell of ozone and burnt salt lingering in the air.
The combat is now over and the way is clear. The narrow cliff path stands before you, winding up towards the safety of the temple above.
Marin slings his shortbow back over his shoulder and moves to retrieve one of his arrows. (fired two arrows total)
After a fight, you can spend 1 minute to recover half the ammunition (round down) you used in the fight; the rest is lost.
"Is everyone alright, no serious injuries?" Marin glances at those who were hit to see how badly they may of been hurt.
"Let's get a move on before more show up!"

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Ashnods but eyes the sea suspiciously. 'Does this sort of thing happen all the time around seas & oceans?" he asks as he eventually turns and starts towards the path.
Dirk rush's over to Onji, “That was very brave. No telling what infections might spread from their foul attacks. Were you injured?” Dirk offers Goodberries if anyone needs any. He also collects one arrow back. Glancing at the bodies on the shore.
Onji thanks Dirk for the goodberry. Appreciating the soothing quality it returns Onji's mid section. After the sea sickness and the stench of the zombies, Onji felt much better. Onji answers both Dirk & Irtos, "I am untouched by those foul creatures."
Onji drifts around to help Dirk & Marin to retrieve arrows.
Marin isn't sure if Ash is talking to him specifically or just aloud to the group in general but decides to answer him anyway.
"It's a first for me, usually I find beaches quite relaxing."
After Onji helps him search for and retrieve what arrows he can Marin thanks him. As they recover from the suddenness of the sea-zombie attack Marin checks on Irtos, placing a hand on her shoulder reassuringly he asks, "Good work Irtos, was that your first fight? I mean with weapons and magic?"

Onji naively answers Marin, "Was my first. I have seen on our farm a few fights similar but I was not allowed to participate. The groups that trained me, said that they had magical healers and would pick up those that were beaten very badly. One guy even told me they have great healers that could put the multiple body parts together. ...I wonder if what we just fought are like those that where put back together? They never brought those broken guys back...Hmm. I wonder where these guys came from...what is in the water that housed them before they came ashore?
Onji without touching the dead, looks at the different dead to see if anything looks familiar (i.e. cloths/facial features from the docks or the ship/etc.)
Onji doesn't recognise the dead sailors as anyone he's ever seen. The bodies are just a grey, featureless mess of salt-caked flesh. To him, they just look like a very good reason to get off this beach as fast as possible.
Marin listens attentively to Onji while sharing his story about similar attacks on his farm and the healer's claims. When Onji gets to the part about where the undead came from Marin looks out over the water before answering him.
"That's a good point, I mean were they waiting just off shore or... did they travel from afar?" Marin shakes off the dire musings for now, "Either way I think we should get off the beach."
Marin then begins heading toward the path. If no one else decides to head up before him then Marin will lead the way.

Since she was asked directly, Irtos also answers Marin, "I've been in a few fights, as practice during training. But like today, I was shielded in the back while I offered support."
Ash listens to the conversation, taking it all in. He will set out with the group as they start up the path, collecting his thoughts on what just happened but doesn't say anything.
Dirk stays silent as the others comment on past experiences, he’s only had a few himself nothing like this. After finding one of his arrows intact he pulls his map back out, adding a note… Dirk is content to let Marin lead as he falls in line behind him. He still uses stone cunning as they pass any doorways in the cliff along the path.
The long path winds upward from the beach, with stone stairs cut into the basalt to ease the steep ascent. Along the lower stretches, the wild island gives way to order; well-tended garden plots filled with vibrant flowers, fragrant herbs, and hardy vegetables line the trail.
About thirty feet above the bay, the narrow path opens into a wide, level plaza. Halfway across this stone terrace, a statue of a dragon carved from weathered rock gazes serenely back down the path toward the sea. Six open doorways, dark and inviting, are cut into the cliffside here.
Dirk, as you focus your Tremorsense, the stone remains frustratingly still. You feel the steady vibration of the waves hitting the cliffs below and the faint rustle of wind through the gardens, but you don't sense the rhythmic thrum of footsteps or movement coming from the rooms ahead. For now, the path feels deserted.

Ash will pause for a moment, taking in the scene. He surveys the garden with a bit of interest, he will see if there are any signs of someone passing/walking in the area recently. Survival: 11
Marin looks at the dragon statue, appreciating the skill of whoever the crafter was and then turns his attention to the half dozen open doorways.
"I was so excited aboard ship just to be coming here that I didn't think to ask much about the place but were we supposed to meet someone here or is this place deserted?"
