With a flick of his tiny hands, the sparkling light and warmth of his first bolt splutters and flutters on the ghoul’s re-dead corpse. Scintillating sparks spit and flicker and dart towards the second undead monster.
Action: Sacred Flame Dex Save DC 14 for 3 radiant.
"Ah, get away from him!" The dragonborn says through gritted teeth, as Dev is assailed by the ghoul. Paddy waves his thick, slabby hands in a fashion that clownishly approximates the gestures performed by Lothia, attempting to draw the undead creature's attention to his position behind a barrel. "Oi, over here, ugly! Do ye hear me? Ik'semo! Ik'semooo!"
"Ah, ye daft bastid." He snarls in exasperation, a few puffs of smoke rising from his nares. When Paddy suspects his attempts at diversion are likely to fail, a sharp twang of his crossbow follows as another quarrel sails through the air. "Damned moldy pieces o' walkin' jerky won't go down!"
ACTION: Attack with Light Crossbow. To hit: 19. Damage: 7. BONUS ACTION: None. MOVEMENT: None. OTHER: Slow weapon mastery on a hit.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The remaining ghoul lets out one final growl before it collapses almost on top of Dev, its body burnt by the fire, the acid, and the radiant energy, with Paddy's arrow sticking out of its neck.
Next to it, the zombie has also taken some damage from Lothia's acid splash, its grey skin dissolving where the liquid hit it. The creature doesn't seem to feel it, however. It simply waves its hands and tries to slam into Dev.Attack: 20 Damage: 6
Dev takes the hit with a delighted smile. It had been so long since he'd danced properly in battle. He pushes the dissolving zombie away and brings his own weapon to bear, trying to cleave the creature in half. He's slightly off balance though, and his swing completely misses the zombie as he stumbles backwards. "C'mon then ye salty bastard. Ye can do better than that."
Attack: 7 Damage: 9 (I'm assuming that misses)
(Was the 2 damage to Dev halved already, or does he get to halve that as part of his rage feature?)
Paddy chuckles as the ghoul topples over, sundered by the fusillade, both magical and material. "Down she goes!" The dragonborn hoots through his nares, producing a sound like a furnace clearing ash. His eyes gleam, bright with that familiar, dangerous jubilation at all the violence meted out.
The old criminal chews the end of his cigar, and the fumes from his fiery breath kindle the tip. He takes a deep lungful of smoke, enjoying the celebratory moment a little too much. When he fires his crossbow again, the projectile goes nowhere near the shambling corpse advancing, and instead clatters uselessly along the decking.
ACTION: Attack with Light Crossbow. To hit: 7 (Natural 1!). Damage: 5. BONUS ACTION: None. MOVEMENT: Backing 30ft away from the zombie.
If by some strange stroke of luck the zombie yet withstood everyone's attack, thenLothia gives it her best to try and finish the job with a purple orb that let out a quietly shrieked through the air as it flies, before slamming into the zombie and filling its head with maddening whispers! "Back to the grave with ya, darling!" She'd claimed with a toothy grin and full of confidence in striking the final blow.
Action: Casting the CantripSorcerous Burst on final zombie marked with hex. To Hit: 8For: 6 psychic & 4 necrotic damage. (Accidentally put lightning and not psychic when roll the damage.
The zombie twists and groans as the combined magic of Pev, Val, and Lothia slams into its decaying body. The smell of burning flesh fills the air once more as its grey skin shrives and turns charred under the onslaught of fire and radiant light. It attempts to swivel its hands for one last strike, but instead collapses into a decaying heap on the deck.
Dev lowers his axe, pulls out his rabbits foot and kisses it. "Wasn't expectin' a whole bunch of 'em different critters," he says looking down at the ghouls with distaste. "Looks like we gone and found where they be coming from, at least." He looks towards the cabins under the upper decks. "We checked all them rooms out on this deck?"he asks as he heads back to the top of the stairs. "Just afore we clear the rest of this sieve out for good."
"Heh heh heh, those stinkers were no match fer us." Paddy rasps, before he scurries over to the now quiet corpses, wrenches free the cleavers he tossed earlier, and checks the bodies for anything of interest. If the delightful aroma wafting from the undead bothers him, it doesn't seem to show in the old butcher's demeanour. With his tools retrieved, the dragonborn begins scours the top deck for any unexplored chambers.
"Oi saw Lothia checking out the room over there while oi was on moi way to the crow's nest. Nothin' up there, like oi said. Except for those greasy feathers and some bones." He gestures to the north-eastern room on the main deck (C6), and begins moving towards the chamber beside it (C7). "Ye were in there, weren't ye, darlin'? Oi'll try the room next t' it. Check the rooms at the back if ye fancy it."
"I didn't get /that/ much of a good look at the room 'fore all the festivities out here. So, if none of you darlings mind too terribly, I'll get back to you. One of you can even join me, if you want!" Loathia cheerfully offered, then made a sweeping gesture towards the room she first took a look into at first. "But, someone should stay out here and give a holler should any more of Umberlee's little play things come drifting up here. Soooo, does anyone want to volunteer for that?" She asks while drifting back towards the sleeping quarters she found last.

"Makes sense for me to stay out here, just in case,"Dev grins, patting his axe. "I'll make sure nothin' be comin' for ye, and I'll be sure to holler if we get more company."
“I’ll come with you. Too many undead have we met already, and these are not mind-holding undead, vampires or liches who in life were as wicked as in undeath. These are the bodies of the innocent dead, and some lingering malaise is seeking to doom this island, and make its evil will manifest.”
"I'll stay with Dev and keep a look out. A vulture will be returning before we leave I would expect, and it might be displeased with having had it's nest looted." The young red-haired sorceress says and starts scanning the sky.
Lothia snapped her fingers a couple of times at Valeria and Devizes while grinning from ear to ear. "Rock'n! I'll catch you two darlings in just a bit!" She declared brightly, then sauntered off to double check the crew cabins. If Pev meant to follow her, she'd pause in step long enough to assure gnome she'd be alright, as any undead would've already jumped out after her. But had his course meant following Paddy to the room next to the one Lothia intended to recheck out, then it's with a playfully wave goodbye that she bid the two before carrying on her way(C6).
In either case, no sooner had she slipped back into the cabin did she return to the painting, deliberated for only a few seconds, then take out her knife to try and cut it free of its frame. That is, if its condition wasn't so bad that it looked it might crumble at her touch. After which, she'd more thoroughly check out the beds for anything of value or note, like a journal or the like.

While Dev and Valeria stay guard on the main deck, the rest of the party gets back to exploring the cabins.
Paddy, as you reach the cabin, you see a long table takes up most of it, which must have served as a mess hall. Decaying chairs are scattered about, and broken glass and crockery litter the floor. There’s nothing of interest to find here.
Lothia and Pev, you enter the crew quarters that Lothia briefly explored earlier. Lothia, please roll a Dexterity and Pev please roll a Perception.
