Lothia first glanced over her shoulder to make sure no one hadn't been looking at her, then turned on the painting once more with an expression twisted up with both envy and disgust. Yet while she had half a mind to tear down the painting out of spite, instead set her sights on searching the many bunks and scattered personal effects for anything of note or value of some kind. At least until some call goes out or -- She freezes up in catching a glimpse of the dragonborn's gesturing from he door frame, before ultimately been drawn out to join the others with staff clutched firmly in hand. The young red-haired sorceress would show the large feather to the others. "It came down from the crow's nest, think there might be an upset and very large vulture returning to it's nest, better keep an eye on the sky as we proceed." She suggests, then ready behind Goldie as he is about to open the hatch. "No need to go down there before I have turned any bloaters into ash from up here." She adds with a confident smile, sorcerous fire playing between her hands.
Pev has tip-toed back to the others as they inspect the feather, Paddy just in front of him. He mimes the walking dead, and holds up his fingers for how many he guesses there are, then points below the deck. He seems reluctant to even speak, in case it draws those above or those below towards he and his companions position.
Dev finishes his inspection of the wheel and makes his way back down to the main deck joining the others. He grins at Pev's miming and sneakily peers down the hatch. "More o'them zombie folk then," he says quietly. He looks around the deck. "Better to fight 'em up here where it be dry. Ain't liking being up to me knees in water an' swinging me axe."
He points at the stairs down into the hold. "We bring 'em up and hold 'em there." He rubs his axe in anticipation. "I'll block 'em at the top, the rest o'ye can pick 'em off one at a time. Looks like there only be room for one of 'em coming up them stairs. Should be easy pickings."
"Ah sure, that'll do grand for me." Paddy says in response to Valeria and Dev's plan, casting a quick, sharp eye around the group, ensuring every weapon is drawn and every hand steady for the battle to come. He gives a short nod, satisfied, then grips the hatch handles with a firm hand.
"Right so - no more dawdlin'." With a quick heave, he wrenches it open, a fierce glint in his golden eyes and a mad grin not far behind it. "Let's send these bilge-rats down to a watery grave!"
Although it took Dev's more direct verbiage to truly complete the picture for Lothia. But once that was done, she scurried into any free spot she could by the hatch that wouldn't have the door blocking her view once it's open, and began conjuring into being a small but swirling mass of energy above her hand in anticipation of the fight to come and with a excited grin on her face.

Pev keeps his copper hat alight, and moves to be a safe distance from the hatch on light feet as Paddy gets into position. He makes the hand sign of Garl Glittergold, and prays for some of the gnomefather’s luck — in the hope the god’s larder be too full of the stuff for him to desire to hold onto it.
Dev, the moment you touch the wheel, it snaps free of its axle and begins falling. Luckily, your soldier's reflexes save you and you catch the heavy wood before it can crash against the deck and alert whatever is below. As you carefully settle it down, you notice the name of the ship - Compass Rose - engraved and inlaid with mother-of-pearl in the wood.
Lothia, when you turn to leave the crew quarters, your boot catches on a floorboard. It's raised just enough to be suspicious, sitting higher than its neighbours.
With all of you gathered around the stair and the hatch, the waddling and sloshing continue on the deck below. One of the zombies eventually stumbles aimlessly beneath the open hatch, seemingly oblivious to the group peering down from above.
The moment Lothia sees the zombie stumble into view, there's no hesitation! With but a flick of the wrist, she sends the chaotic mass of energy sailing down to the creature, it's form shifting from flames to liquid and then to ice, before finally settling on turning into electricity at the last moment prior to slamming into the back of the creature. And when it lands, she can't help but laugh and say, "Take that, Puppet of Umberlee!"
Held Action: Cast the cantrip Sorcerous Burst at Zombie Guy! To Hit: 15 For: 7 Lightning Damage.
"Noice shootin'!" Padrionn says, somewhat taken aback by the crackle of electrical energy past his head, but appreciative of the way it sizzles the zombie's spine. Given the difficulty he is likely to face in retrieving his cleavers from the hold, the criminal switches to his crossbow. The dragonborn settles a bolt into the groove, draws back the tension string and closes one golden eye as he aims for the zombie's skull. "Now moi turn!"
Dev grins in delight as the zombie below takes the blast. He readies is axe in front of himself at the top of the steps. "C'mon then, ye oversized scuttlefish," he shouts down into the hold.
Although feeling a bit awkward about crowding with the others at the hatch, the young red-haired sorceress too wants the walking dead put to rest as quickly as possible so she calls upon her sorcerous magic to send a ball of flames, striking the undead sailor in the chest.
Padrionn looses the quarrel he had loaded with a bouncy, percussive twang of his crossbow. The bolt whistles through the air and lands with a satisfying plunk in the side of the zombie's head. The bodkin punches clean through the undead creature's skull, decaying brain matter spattering across the hold.
"Heh heh heh! Got ya!" The dragonborn exclaims cheerfully, lining up another bolt for another volley.
ACTION: Attack with Light Crossbow. To hit: 19. Damage: 8. BONUS ACTION: None. MOVEMENT: None. OTHER: Weapon Mastery with Light Crossbow (Slow). Slow. If you hit a creature with a Light Crossbow and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
Pev makes the sign of Garl Glittergold and curses the undead foes to burn in his sight.
Action: Sacred Flame. DEX Save 14; fail 4 radiant damage. Movement: Pev will move to be behind a mast or a barrel, anything that can give him some cover.
