Lar pauses... then a vicious smile crawls across his face.
"Well, if none of you lot have the guts... perhaps there is someone else. Grunkus, fetch the Baron's boy! If a man can't get the lamp, perhaps a child can show you how to do it."
One of the three men, a goliath, nods and stands up, trudging towards the stairway to the upper floor. One of the other thugs looks like he's about to be sick as he hears the command. The third opens his mouth to protest... but one glare from Lar shuts it again.
Upon hearing that Lar is about to endanger 'the Baron's boy,' Dhamila abruptly changes her mind: "No, Robin, tell everyone to run here right now and attack. No time to lose. I'll try to stall and distract them."
After that, the Creepy Girl creates a plaintive cry, like tortured souls from beyond the grave, from somewhere inside the room: "Fooooooooolllllllssss! You've gone tooooooo far and disturbed those who cannoooooot reeeeesssstt. The lamp will remain your last obsession for eternity, now that we've coming for youuu..."
And, if possible, while the bad guys hopefully turn their gaze to the source of the noise, the Runaway Tiefling stealthily attempts to open the door and enter the room to better position herself.
Hearing an innocent is in danger, Abishai wastes no time in catching up to the Dhamila. Stopping inside the kitchen to get a read of the situation, the Red Dragonborn, once again, fails to be stealthy. Though his primary concern rests with saving the Baron's son. 'These monsters must be stopped!' He thinks after the report is given by Robin. The tinker's scales crawling as the tiny fiend talks.
The bandits all jump in surprise and fear as the ghostly voice echoes through the Great Hall.
"Find out who the Hell that was," Lar orders, his voice low and threatening. "Spread out... we'll have their head..."
The thugs stand at attention, and the mage raises his staff... it looks like he's readying a spell...
(OOC: Regarding stealth... they're alerted now, and there are only two doors that an enemy could enter through. I think rule of common sense is that, if you're visible, you unfortunately cannot take them by surprise anymore)
Thorgath's pan and fists bring the thug to his knees quickly, leaving the man bruised and bleeding but alive. But... Lar is right there! And he is not in the mood to be shown up right here in front of his men...
"You have no idea what you just walked into," Lar hisses, drawing an ornate rapier. "Now you WILL fall... and I might have use for you if you survive!"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Balthathar steps 5 feet north, then 15 feet west, striking at the bleeding thug across the table (if the table is wider than 5 feet, he fires Eldritch Blast instead).

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?

Balthathar reins in the urge to charge into the great hall. Lar is no easy opponent, and the gnome wizard sets him on edge.
He must be cautious.
Staying just outside the hall, Balthathar offers a quiet prayer to his goddess, weighing his options and deciding who to strike first.
