The Charred Brute on the left stumbles slightly as Brynja hits it, taking 11 damage. It lets out a strangled groan... then green flames surround the Paladin!

Brynja, make a DC 12 Dex save or take 7 Fire damage. Half-damage on success. Since it's half-damage on success, Brynja also takes 6 Necrotic damage.

Meanwhile, Thorgath charges the closer of the charred brutes, dealing 26 damage total to the already heavily injured creature. But it's still standing.

Now... it's their turn.

The closer brute lets out a groan as it swings its burning mace twice at Thorgath!

Ashen Mave vs. Thorgath:
Attack: 21 Damage: 8 (bludgeoning) + 2 (fire) = 10
Attack: 9 Damage: 7 (bludgeoning) + 2 (fire) = 9

Then, as a bonus action it lets out a burst of flames! Thorgath and Brynja must each make a DC 12 Dex save or take 5 fire damage (half damage on success).

The second charred brute swings on Brynja with its mace.

Brynja is bloodied at 12/28 HP Good thing she's tough!

Abishai laughs as he watches Thorgath jump over the red mosaic in the floor, avoiding it as if it were lava. His attention quickly returns to the battle once more sending a blast of cold at the heavily damaged foe.

Attack 12 damage 3 cold 

Brynja prioritizes keeping herself up over dealing damage, so she takes a break with swinging her sword and cast a Cure Wounds spell on herself. As she finishes the short prayer, a divine glow heals the burns on her face (and other wounds not showing).

Cure Wounds heals 10 HP

Thorgath braces himself against the incoming attack, shaking off some of it with a growl.
He fumes at the tenacity of the charred brute and launches another series of attacks against it.

Torch to charred cheek: 22 Bludgeoning: 12 (sap)
Headbutt to charred head:: 13 Bludgeoning: 15 (sap)
Uppercut to charred chin: 25 Bludgeoning: 12 (sap)

Round 2

Dhamila tries to calm herself: 'Calm down! What's wrong with you, girl? Adjust your aim... Danger is meant to make you savor life, not to take away your clarity.'

Now that the enemies are in melee with Thorgath and Brynja, it should be easier for the Creepy Girl to seize their moment of inattention and strike where it hurts most. With a smug, sinister grin, she releases another arrow, hoping to finish off the goliath's antagonist.

The Runaway Tiefling then moves several steps east [[ OOC: 20' east ]].

 It takes the first two attacks to break the charred creature. It groans one last time and collapses, It's burnt body covered in cracks. The third attack instead strikes the brute in melee with Brynja.

The attack is good. The arrow sinks into charred flesh.

“You used me as a meat shield!”

Robin shrieks, pointing at Balthathar.

“A perfectly adorable little girl like me! You heartless bastard—I hate you!”

“You’re welcome. I hate you too.”

The elf warlock replays the moment in his mind. The zombie’s fiery retaliation only triggers when it takes damage—and only once every few seconds.

“Humm.. Let’s see....”

He steps in and swings his glaive at the remaining brute.

Robin darts forward, flinging a handful of sand into the creature’s eyes to give Balthathar an opening.

The charred Brute turns its wrath on Thorgath, swinging its mace viciously (if clumsily, given the Sap from Thorgath's attack)

As a bonus action, the creature screeches and unleashes a burst of flame that engulfs Thorgath and Brynja. Each must make a DC 12 Dexsave or take 11 Fire damage (half damage on success).

Abishai sends another icy blast of cold at the last remaining foe, but pulls up at the last moment afraid of hitting one of his allies as they begin to surround the monster.

Attack 8

Brynja dex save: 3, recording 11 fire damage

Brynja strikes at the charred brute to get it's attention, and hopefully finish it off before more fire comes out of it.

Attack 9 for 10 damage

The painful burns through off her aim, so she placed a hand on her chest and healed herself a bit (Lay on Hands for 5 HP)

(Dex save: 4 Use Stone Endurance against fire: 5, rolling amazingly bad now :-P)

Thorgath roars as he is once again engulfed in fire, then crashing into the charred brute with full force.

Thorgath's fists slam into the brute... and at long last it let's out a final cry of rage and anguish! The creature's body cracks and falls broken to the stone floor!

You all feel a new surge of self-assurance. Everyone, please level your character up to level 3!!

"Thorgath angry!!" The massive, heavily tattooed and fairly charred goliath growls, clearly stating the obvious. "Thorgath will spank fire lady for this." He adds and looks around for the best way to take for this endeavour.

Perception: 17

Thorgath steps into the next chamber with a yell and finds it... empty. But his eagle-eye catches sight of something out of place.

There are indentations on three of the walls (North, West, and East) that look suspiciously like bricked-over doorways. There is also a large stone mosaic stone reliquary sitting in the dead center of the room. Its lid sits slightly askew.
