A gentle smile cracked on Yasei's face, shattering her normal stoic and sad veneer. She closed her eyes, and began to meditate, asking Hachiman for divine guidance as to which longsword she should select. Mumbling to herself, she intones "At times because of one man’s evil, ten thousand people suffer. So you kill that one man to let the tens of thousands live. Here, truly, the blade that deals death becomes the sword that saves lives."
With that, she opens her eyes, and makes a beeline for a sword off to the side, which appears to have been overlooked by all the other customers. Plucking it off the shelf with delicate ease, she begins the long process of inspecting its every scratch, ding, and pocket of rust. Smiling to herself the entire time. "You're a good one, aren't you? We're going to be fast friends."
Cora smiled as Yasei chose her weapon. She took the short swords and looked at her body to find a place to sheath them. Stupid, she thought. She walked back inside and took the matching holster for them. She tied the belt strap around her waist, the blades hung loose and awkwardly. She then walked outside, feeling the sun on her face once again. She had a headache, and it wasn't because of the heat. Also, strangely, she had fainted during Dani's medical procedure. A slow growing concern in her gut started to simmer. Subconsciously, something, somehow was trying to surface. She raised her hands slowly, she had slender fingers, but the knuckles were calloused, and raw, her nails a bit chipped. Warrior's hands. But yet..not? Something more subtle. It didn't make sense. Her eyes went back to the tattoo on her arm. What did the number mean?
[Yep! You can pick a loadout- whatever your character needs to get online]
The Barracks
You make your way back up towards 'The Rock' at the top end of the city and walk through tall, wooden gates with poles sharpened to a point.
As you walk through this rough part of town, towering Bugbears, Brown Orcs and ghostly white Believers eye you down. On more than one occasion, an Orc can be seen holding a Believer back, while expressing how much he wants to make a necklace from your fingernails.
A large hut with a familiar insignia og the clenched gauntlet on the outside flutters on a ripped flag. You figure this be Barry's dwelling.
You step in and see him laying on a feathered bed, entertaining two other female bugbears. They do not flinch when you walk in, and look at you all up and down as if you don't belong in here. "Ahh, welcome back." He says, sitting up in nothing but a loincloth. "I see things went well!"
"Good! You got yourselves equipped..." Barry walks across the reddish lit room and opens a curtain, wincing at the sunlight. "And it's still early. There's been a water delivery to your room in The Rock. Drink up, you'll need it. If you're gonna be of any use to me, you gotta protect yourselves. Just outside the city walls there are these big... stanky mother****ers. Ankheg's what they call 'em and they're tougher than my mother in law, I can tell ya that! I'll wave my boys down so you can exit the city and if you can get one on it's own, you can harvest it's hide to get some armour for you all. But be careful, if they come at you n numbers, well, you better book it!"
Danica:
Being a monk, I am well aware of your unarmoured bonus. You have seen Ankhegs on your way in to the city over your treck accross the desert. You think perhaps you can fashion together some gauntlets or forearm guards which will give you +1 AC and not affect your unarmoured bonus =)
Rather than a dirty look, it was an amused look that Danica turned on Cora. "Thanks" She murmured. To Barry she said "Then I guess we'd better get going." and turned to leave.
Not wanting or intending to get a fistful of broken teeth, Cora sighed in relief inwardly that her reaction wasn't hostile. She nodded, and followed Danica outside.

Crispy's thoughts are interrupted by a familiar chittering sound, although each of you hear it;
"... Eastern quarter... When he lets you roam free..."
[Current quest options: turn in to Barry at the Barracks, explore the city, find Kha'zix]

OOC: Are we allowed more than one weapon? Could Yasei get a daisho (longsword + shortsword)?

(I assume so, I nabbed three ;) )
Crispy jolted out of her thoughts. There would be time to figure everything out at somepoint later. She shook the thoughts out of her brain.
"I think we should head back to H'Larry." She suggested. "Then maybe head to where the bug voice wants us to go?"

"We got equipped.." Cora says plainly. "What's next."
Danica maintains a neutral expression at what she sees.
Roll a WIS save for composure. ;)

Cool beans.
Wis save: 18
Composure rolls, ruh oh. This is where Danica loses it. =P <3
A single bead of sweat runs down Danica's temple.

Cora notices it, and follows it down her temple, down her cheek. Wow. She's got some willpower.
It continues. Over the jaw line. Down her neck. It's really starting to itch.

I wipe it away. If she gives me a dirty look, I wipe my finger and smile sheepishly.

Yasei: “Hai. It shall be done. Any pointers as to how to vanquish our assigned foe? Any known weaknesses or chinks in their armor?”
