"Yes 'tis I," says Nif, happy to see Nundro wake. "Do you remember anything of what happened?" he then asks.
Nundro looks around at the sleeping dwarves again. Finally, his eyes stop on Gundren, and he sighs. "Tharden is dead, isn't he?"
"You should continue to rest until morning and we can talk more then, I need to keep watch."
Nundro looks at Nif. He looks deeply troubled, but he gives a single nod, pulls on his leathers a little, then curls up to rest.
The rest of the night goes by uneventfully. Everyone, including Nundro and the bearded mage, wakes early. Gundren and Nundro are pleased to be reunited. Gundren describes their brother's burial and helps Nundro outside to show him the place Tharden was laid.
As much as Vondal felt the urge to go into a full stretch routine as per the norm, he instead found himself reforging the magical barrier around him (courtesy of the staff), prior to then spending some time alternating between studying the mage's spellbook, idly eating breakfast, and occasionally glancing to the bearded mage. More than... he couldn't fully spare the concentration on for a while at least. And knowing Nundro and Gundren would need time to themselves, he hadn't the heart to intrude on their time over the grave.
"... You know once we get back, we should... I think it's time to see to Bron's burial, if only temporarily so. Perhaps we can speak to the Rockseekers about returning here with him, yes? Both having in their own ways given their lives for this discovery I feel would make most sense." Vondal eventually comments after finally taking a breather.

Feeling his body still numb due to the spider's posion, Adrom stretches and grunts even more than usual as he dons again his armor after his last watch and takes the breakfast with the others.
Nif simply sits with Gundren and Nundro as Nundro relates what had happened to Tharden and himself, Then Nif fills in the details of what had transpired while he was in the mine. At the end he says, "We should return to town and arrange for a proper burial for Tharden and then decide what you want to do about this mine." He then starts to make preparations to depart.
Vondal huffs and murmurs something along the lines, "A cairn is proper too." Before anyone listening too closely can interject on that point, he briskly carries on by adding, "Aye. Not to mention needing to drop that 'one' off with Sildar as well, as per his request, if recalled right."With that reminder said and presuming all were mostly in agreement (The rockseekers included!), the hill dwarf would begin gathering his things and checking up on the bindings on Glasstaff in preparation to depart.

Here's the map. By my reckoning, you've got a lot of options (numbered) if you want to head back in instead of leaving. Up to you.
As for burial, Vondal is right in feeling OK with how Tharden was buried. It is a standard hill/gold dwarf burial. Mountain/shield dwarves (which Karl and Adrom are) go for the grander scale where burial is concerned. This is why I wrote what I wrote in post 3780. As Nif doesn't really know anything about his heritage, I guess it would be up to Whatwall what his preferences are. And as "Uncle" would lean toward the grander burial, it could lead Nif to feel the same. The question is whether any of you would know whether the Rockseekers are hill or mountain dwarves.
I don't want to assume you're all leaving as Karl seemed to want to stay, so I'll let that decision be ironed out or argued.
Karl thinks to himself "if you're dead, you're dead no point putting up big tombs for others to raid at some time in the future. Better you're friends and enemies remember you as a force, bit like Ma and Pops, rather than a great stone chamber!"He turns to the others "right nuff mopin' about we got work to do! Lets start wit that passage 'eading east and then move ta the door on the on that corridor 'eading west" (OOC: that's point 1 and 2 in that order)
Vondal looks taken aback for a moment, before then glancing briefly to the others. "... W-what? No, Uncle. We need head back to town! There's literally noone else that even knows about the mine location, so we can always come back once business there is finished."He states. "Even if its only to return wizard to town and to Sildar, better to have that business taken care of then have something go wrong while we deal with whatever else is in other parts of mine. Please, be reasonable Uncle."

"Well alright young 'un but we'll need to be quick about it cos I don't reckon - with number of critters we've seen including that black elf - you're right that nobody else knows about this mine!" Karl responds
"The sooner we get rid of that scum the better" agrees Adrom "Let's hope those undead doesn't increase their numbers while we are away but I would like to give that poor souls the proper rest they deserve. to the city then. Let's show them that dwarves can move with haste if needed."
(OOC: Honestly thought they were within ear shot of the conversation. But looking back, it seems it might've gotten overlooked that they'd stepped out to visit Tharden's grave. Whoops)

Seeing most at least finally in agreement, Vondal flashes a grin. "Good. C'mon then, Mr. Glasstaff. On your feet least you have the pleasure of more concussions for your day." He'd state as he went to try and heft the wizard onto his feet. "After you all, then. We still need speak with Gundren and Nundro. But, I doubt they'd disagree with a return sooner than later." He adds, ready to march with Glasstaff in tow.

Once the group reach the Rockseeker Brothers and assuming the others don't speak up of their plans, Vondal would then take it upon himself to call out to the pair. "Apologies. I hope we're not intruding. But, we have been thinking about immediate plans, and... well, there's no easy way to put it. We believe it best to head to town and get affairs properly underway. Not to mention resupply as well."He looks to Nundro.
"And perhaps give some time to rest.... B-but after which though, and with your, uh, the permission of the rockseeker clan, we would return here to finish clearing out the mines... Make it so that what happened wasn't completely in vain."

Gundren and Nundro look at each other for a long moment in silence before Nundro nods. They look at Vondal, and Gundren speaks. "From what Nundro says, it sounds like we are ill-equipped to make the mine ready for use again ourselves. We'd be happy to share some of the treasure within with you in exchange for your services. Returning to Phandalin sounds like a good plan."
