Bron is the first to exit the Bard. He looks up and down the street. The Bard is located just west of the Wall, and central between the river and the Graveyard. The winding street is almost completely commercial, but the buildings are a mixture of reconstructed and under-construction, with a few barely-standing here and there. Even those buildings with only two or three walls are occupied and open for business. The alleyway on the north side of the Bard seems like a good escape and Bron heads that way. Unfortunately, a middle-aged man is leading two beasts of burden up the cut-through as well, filling the space completely, and Bron is forced to halt in his tracks. He turns to see several of the others also exiting the Bard and heading his direction.
Tess retrieves the pan of bacon from the fire as most of her customers exit the tavern. She smiles at Vondal as she walks around the end of the bar. "Looks like you've been left to pay for the food," she smiles at the dark-skinned dwarf. "I can wrap up this cheese and bacon, but I'm still gonna need a flask or jug 'afore I can give you any ale. I'm not gonna give you any of my mugs," she laughs. She begins to hum a little tune as she prepares the packages of bacon and cheese.

As Nif leaves the Bard, he grabs his 5 GP and Vondal's note and money. Hearing Tess's comment, he pauses and says, "Tess, if ya don't mind waiting, I am about to go shopping and I will pick up some flasks for the ale and come back?"
Once outside, Nif heads off to the store, once inside he, he looks for the owner and says, "Greetings friend. I was hoping I could get the following: 1x quarter staff, 1x mess kit, 1x flask of oil, 1x tinderbox, 5x pieces of chalk, 2x travellers cloaks and 10x empty ale flasks." As he finishes his list and counts 2 gp and 5sp, "That should cover it."
Total value as per the PHB is 2gp, 7sp and 5cp. Nif offers this price in an attempt to haggle a bit.
Once Nif finishes at the store, he swings by the Bard and drops off the flasks to Tess to fill up, telling her he will pick them up later. Nif then heads off to Three Picks to see what weapons are available for ththe journey.
Vondal slumps to the side so that only a hand propped up on the table kept him even remotely upright in his seat. "Good on you, little brother. I see you later." He gives Nif one last absent-minded wave as the dwarf speeds on out. "Hm! So much for earlluier queszion zhough. Ah well! You were saying somezing abouz, uhm... payments? I have payment here. No worries. I pay head of zime." Vondal says as he fishes out his coin purse again and sorts out the Three Dragons and equal silvers while Tess finished up the order.

Tess looks up as her hands continue packaging and gives Vondal another demure grin. "Did I overhear that you lot are headed to Phandalin? I hope you won't be gone long. I'll miss my best customers." She walks over with 10 wrapped packages: five warm to the touch and a little grease stained, and five unremarkable. She places the packages on the table and picks up the coin left for her by Gundren. She counts them quickly and says, "Gundren paid for a second round, but no one ordered another drink, so I'll give you a little discount on the food, seeing as how he's your employer now." She pockets the coin and begins clearing the others' drinks, leaning forward over the table across from Vondal, another small smile thinning her unpainted, but still attractive lips as the low neck of her tunic gapes.
As Karl and Einar struggle with Bron, they both notice the dwarf attempted to either protect or hide the bag he's carrying. This friend of theirs is acting very strange indeed. In fact, now that they think about it, they realize he's been unusual all day — even at the factory.
Karl and Einar, go ahead and roll charisma checks to find out if Bron's threat affects you at all. Your friendship would keep you from being truly afraid of him, but if you roll lower (especially if it's a lot lower), you can use that to help guide you on how your character reacts to his aggressive behavior.

"You and wot army" Karl laughs. "On a more serious note, yer stuff's yer stuff but I ain't seen ta bag before" pointing at it with his foot "now I ain't gunna touch it, cos its yours, but I can put two and two together and it seems to be havin' some strange affect on you! So do you want to tell us what is going on?"

As Nif extends his hand with the two gold and five silver coins to the merchant, he looks the dwarf up and down. "A'ight," he grumbles. "The wife's been complainin' 'bout slow sales these past tendays. I guess this be better than nothin'."
Nif then walks a little further up the street to the Three Picks Delving Co. Unfortunately, he finds the establishment closed up and locked with no indication as to when it might be open for business again.
Einar also lets out a long breath, then offers a hand to pull Bron back to his feet.
"Now... Was that really so hard?"

A 6 doesn't even beat passive perception, so I'll assume Einar spots him.
"Well, seems yer no better at hidin' than I am at cards."
Einar grabs Bron by the collar of his shirt and shoves him against the wall of the tavern.
"What in hells is goin' through yer head, that you try runnin' from yer friends? We're just concerned fer ya. Now what is bloody go'in on?"
