With Navek's head still filled with thoughts about Mayor, he had none to give to Thimbol's offer. So, he waved off it off without thinking, and muttered an apology. He straightened up his act with Payne, and with a solemn nod, re-affirmed his intent to continue the good work... and more.
As soon as the group steeped inside, Navek stared down the Lizardfolk, and never relented. Not to intimidate, but to send a clear message that he had his eyes on the prisoner. Why him and Thimbol were dancing around the subject and going off on tangents did earn a raised brow. But if he understood any of it, it never shows on his face. Lora's first declaration only gets a nod of understanding.
(spoiler alert: He didn't as Wrecks said. BUT, unless for the lawls you'd allow it, old Navek can try to remember bits a pieces with an Intelligence check, I'd be for it? Got a solid +0 in that department.)
"... Far as I saw it, it was never a question of not helping you. Having been in that boy's position before, I have no qualm extending the same courtesy. And he seems still into the idea of talking."Navek looks to Mo and asks, "You mind, cousin? At least see if the good sheriff has something good laying around still?"

(While it sounds like they are talking about spaghetti recipes, knitting, the true meaning of purple, and how many eye stalks a beholder REALLY has... you manage to recognize that based on their body language and inflections on some of the words that it is possible that they are talking in some kind of code but don't have any clue as to what was really said.)
(I’m probably not the right person to be getting tables and chairs... eyes the two goliaths.)
Thimbol stood off to the side of the others, uncertain of Lorarila’s plan to show decency to the Blood Scale and hope for a positive result. “We don’t need to torture or kill the lizard. Keep him in the cell long enough and he’ll be wanted by his own gang.” The halfling smirked a bit, the irony of it just too sweet.
Thieves Cant: ”The cost of tea goes up and we all suffer. Doesn’t matter how sweet or bitter. As long as there’s a demand for it than there’s a supply to meet. We can drink less tea and the cost goes down. Everyone wins. Of course I don’t like tea myself. Rather be rid of it entirely.”
There’s gonna be a bounty on your head too. Of course if we get rid of the blood scales entirely, then you’ll have nothing to worry about.
(I don’t know if that’s a better way to approach thieves cant?)
(it works for me lol, otherwise I will just make up dialog that I think is random and funny)
The Lizardfolk will look to Thimbol again and shake his head. "I love dogs, dogs are great.. they are fluffy but can also bite. Some dogs dress up like bunnies though even though they are stupid cowardly dogs. I think you are more of a cat person, you look like a cat person... cats are delicious. A cat can easily eat a bunch of mice though.. do you have any mice? "
"Do your friends know about who you are? Just because you were able to best me and a couple of my men doesn't mean you stand a chance against the Bloodscales... You have not given me any reason to believe that a tiny coward, an old man, A drummer, a walking coat rack, and the elf wannabe have any chance of defeating them... I think the smart bet is still on the bloodscales.."
"if you would like.. I can explain to your friends how we know eachother...."
Thimbol couldn’t help but clench a tiny fist at his side in response to the lizardfolk’s words. Obviously shaken with anger though unable to do anything physical about it with the rest of the group around. “Haha. Someone get this man something to eat.”
Thieves Cant: “I could go for something to eat myself. I used to like to eat alone, but when you share food, there’s a surprising satisfaction you can get out of the company of others. Their time and stories told. You find you both like the leg of a turkey over the breast or your ale with a little more head than most. They’ll take care of the parts of a meal you don’t like and you take care of what they don’t like. Plus cleaning up at the end is a breeze when others help. No, I won’t be eating alone anymore.
They know who I am now and that’s all that matters. Just in the short time we’ve been through a lot. We might not look like the most put together group, but we have so much in common. What one person might lack, the other makes up for and it’s our differences that make us stronger, not our similarities. Tell them what you want. They might believe you, but it won’t split us up.
Mo will follow behind Sayre and assist Lorarila with her plan in anyway he can (feel free to ask him to help you with stuff.. he is very agreeable right now)
"Thank you all for this chance, it means a lot to me. So I will give it my best to get the information we need and try to help this poor unfortunate man. Or women. I can't tell with them but I don't want to be rude. When we get the food, we just need to go in and set it up near him, and I will sit and share the meal with him. Bonding over food, hopefully we will succeed." Lorarila will peek in at the Lizardfolk and prepare herself to look as friendly as possible.
(So are you planning to setup a table and chairs right next to his cell so you are sitting at the table eating while he is in his cell eating food you hand him through the bars? Is it only going to be Lorarila in there sharing this meal with him or are you all going to be around the table eating with him?)
(If Lorarila can, she will go inside the cell and set the table she he can eat easily. Sign of trust kind of thing and talk with him inside the cell with others outside)
So after Lorarila explains her plan to Payne, she looks at you with for a moment as though you must be joking... but once she realizes you are serious she will stand up from her desk and head towards the prisoners cell. "Get back or I'll knock your teeth out" Payne will command as she ushers him away from the cell door as Mo and Sayre haul in the table and chairs, before filling the table with an assortment of food. Once the table is set, Mo will play song tune on his drum.
Once everyone leaves the cell, the lizard folk will look to the table.. then to Lorarila.. then back to the table before sitting. Licking his lips, he will lock eyes with her as he leans back in his chair.. You get the impression he may be more interested in eating Lorarila than the food.
Bardic Inspiration
As a bonus action, a creature within 60 ft. that can hear you gains an inspiration die (1d6). For 10 minutes, the creature can add it to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw. This can be added after seeing the roll, but before knowing the outcome.
Unless asked to do otherwise, Navek stands outside the cell with his arms folded, back against and shield at rest by his feet. On occasion he finds reason to glance at Thimbol, especially as the halfling spoke with the Lizardfolk. On others, he helps the others set up shop inside the cell should Lora be so inclined to do so. But aside from pointedly saying that at least Mo should be inside with her, Navek intended to stay outside and observe from his post.
"It won't do you much good you know. Trust me."He speaks up, staring flatly at the lizard.

Lorarila will sit across from him and motion to the food. Not breaking the gaze with him. "You must be hungry, I thought it best if we share a meal together while we speak. I am Lorarila, the Mayor of the town has given you to my group. So I have spoken to my group and we have decided to give you a chance. We would like information on the Blood scales, everything you know. In return, we will offer you a Work Release sentance. You will assist the town and work off your time, instead of staying in here and possible execution. It will not be easy, but we will treat you fairly and feed you. When your time is up, you will be free to go or stay. If you are caught again, or try to harm others I will not be able to help you. Please eat, and may I know your name?"

Thieves cant 2.0
Sayre will help with Lora's approach gathering the necessary supplies for the 'interrogation' picnic?
OOC:Canadians are super serious about giving thanks y'all!!
Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
