On the lower ledge, Fargim and Therien are able to avoid the traps, walking alongside kobolds busily transporting tools and materials to and from intersecting tunnels. On the higher ledge, Gruun and Hox pass by a similar scene, though they find no traps along this ledge.
The two ledges slowly converge, bringing the party back together. Small mining tunnels lead off ahead, and a large entrance on the left displays a sign that reads:
DRAGON's Layer
Beneath the sign in smaller text is a liability waiver notice that is written in several languages. Inside the entrance is a small chamber, where a sleeping, medium-sized red dragon lays on a vast pile of copper pieces. It is the size of a dragon wyrmling, but displays much greater muscle development than a dragon its size typically would. Even asleep, it paints a fierce, destructive, fear-inducing image.
Two goblins stand behind a rope railing casually eating mice on sticks. A door to the left of them is labeled "Executive Steam Room". One kobold guard sits on a rock nearby, tormenting a caged rat with a scorpion tied to a small pole by a length of string. There is a lever to the right of the cavern's entrance.
Gruun stares in awe for a few moments at the strength portrayed by this Dragon. Coming to he begins to look around the room and noticing the lever begins to move toward it without drawing attention.
Fargim is full of mischief this day. He' sees Gruun moving about and is going to call out to the guard, "LOOK OUT!", which is to say he casts Gust on the scorpion, hoping it would fly into the face of the guard.
Noticing that Gruun is slowly moving toward the lever, Therien begins to play the part of an overly excited and somewhat annoying kobold. The elf begins to hop up and down while he points his finger at the dragon.
"Remarkable, remarkable, remarkable!" he exclaims as he hops toward the two kobolds behind the rope. "Do you see it? Do you? See the dragon do you?"
Therien then jumps as high as he can and twists in the air, as if he simply cannot contain his pleasure at seeing the dragon. When he lands, he makes sure he does so in an awkward way so that he falls and tangles himself up in the rope and, thereby, creates a distraction.

Hox Perception: 7
The kobold guard reacts with a shout as Fargim causes the scorpion to fly out of his hand and smack against the wall. Using Therien's distraction, Hox sneaks toward the goblins and Gruun creeps toward the lever. The goblins appear bored and Hox hears one mutter to the other, but doesn't understand the language.
Suddenly, the kobold tangled in the ropes seems taller. Fargim, Gruun and Therien feel a familiar twinge of muscle pain as the potions apparently wear off in unfortunate timing, revealing your true forms.
"What!" the kobold guard shouts. "Intruders! Thieves!" he pulls out his dagger and charges toward Gruun.
Scimitar Attack at Therien: 21 Scimitar Attack at Therien: 21
The kobold draws blood on Gruun's thigh, dealing 5 piercing damage. Both goblins seize the opportunity to fight, drawing their scimitars and charging at Therien, who has 'untangled' himself from the ropes. The elf is cut for 4 slashing damage, but twists away from the second incoming sword.

Fargim launches a dagger toward a goblin. It shrieks as it barely dodges the incoming blade, which shatters to pieces with a loud crash on the stone wall of the cavern behind it. The other goblin twitches and writhes as Therien sends three magical bolts into it, falling dead at the elf's feet.

If that succeeds he will carry the Kobold with him while he charges the Goblins swinging/throwing the Kobold at them.
The remaining goblin screeches as Hox pulls his dagger out. Gruun grabs the kobold guard, easily picking it up while it desperately tries to squirm free.
"What? Not what Lek-Lek meant! Gwenivere kill!" a shout comes from the entrance, where Lek-Lek looks on shocked. He tosses a crude carving of a panther at the party, and when nothing happens, he runs to the lever and yanks it down, setting off a series of bells wired along the wall. At the same time, the door to the "Executive Steam Room" bursts open, where three goblins rush out, led by a halfling in plate mail, who holds a majestic ruby above his head. "Kill them!" his command seems to awaken the dragon, which rises up and glares at the intruders in the room. The halfling dashes out of the room and into the main tunnel, followed closely by the three goblins.
The wyrmling lashes out at the closest creature, devouring the goblin that Hox stabbed whole.

Tracking: The halfling and goblins are dashing, and will be out of sight soon if a chase does not ensue. Gruun is 10 feet from the tunnel entrance, grappling the kobold guard. Fargim is in front of the tunnel entrance, 10 feet away from Gruun. Hox and Therien are 10 feet from the tunnel entrance on the opposite side, 10 feet from Fargim and 20 feet from Gruun. Lek-Lek is near Gruun, by the lever. The wyrmling is 10 feet into the room, looking for another target.
Fargim casts Entangle right on top of the dashing group and runs in their direction as well. If the craving that Lek-Lek threw is anywhere nearby, he will pick it up as well.

Gruunhefts the kobold guard into Lek-Lek, knocking him to the side and dislodging his oversized robe, which falls from his shoulders, revealing two horrible tentacles growing from the the talkative kobold's back. Fargim whispers as he runs, stretching his arms toward the fleeing halfling and his goblins. Vines sprout from beneath their feet, wrapping tightly around one goblin to hold it in place, and causing the others to stumble.
Exiting the chamber, you see the halfling running along the higher ledge, still holding the ruby, with two goblins close behind him. Gongs and bells continue to ring from every direction. Kobold miners are slowly swarming up the chasm's sides, climbing up ladders, and emerging from the smaller, intersecting tunnels. From behind, there is a scream and an awful crunching sound, followed by the booming footsteps of a pursuing wyrmling.
Tracking: The swarming kobolds have left two available paths to give chase; the higher and lower ledge that you split up before to reach the chamber.
Therien continues his chase, choosing to follow the goblins and halfling along the higher of the two ledges. "No halfling can outrun an elf," he thinks to himself.
(OOC: This chase currently is currently leading us toward the entrance of the kobold mining cave, correct?)
Fargim will cast Disguise Self and make himself a copy of Lek-Lek. He will then continue running and shouting, "OUT OF THE WAY EVERYONE, THIS IS GOING TO EXPLODE!!!!" while pointing at the ruby. (if any checks need to be made, I'm open to be using the inspiration)
