Dihek'nir keeps moving at a slow pace and saying to the party, "Lets keep moving, you really don't want to piss off the city guard here. We need to find someone instead of losing one or more of us."
Its true we need to be getting along, just checking if the local guard has information on our investigation. If they can't help yes we should continue on. Sorry to have bothered you.
You all keep walking past the scene, not wanting to draw unwanted attention. The streets around you gets darker as tall, densely packed tenements leave most of the neighborhood in shadow at ground level, also most of the streetlamps have had their glass smashed and their candles stolen. The smells of salt air and excrement linger as you pass by rows of run-down buildings.
You reach an alley that runs between Net Street and Fillet Lane, here, you see your destination. The Skewered Dragon looks like a ruin. Both of its front-facing windows are smashed, and a ship’s anchor is lodged in the roof. Through the windows, you can see a group of haggard patrons drinking from huge tankards.
Gendal looks to his friends, Any plans or do we just walk in? I'm not looking to start a fight but we're likely to be conspicuous. Anyone want to sneak in from another way?
SP, you see around a dozen rough and ragged looking individuals inside, there's some light chatter going on, but it's hard to make out from out here. You can just make out a bartender at the back of the establishment, pouring ales for some folks at the bar.
**keep in ming Gendal and Karugur have been in here once before.**
Having been there before Karugur will walk right in and up to the bartender. "Barkeep, an ale if you don't mind." As soon as he gets the ale he takes a drink and continues, " I'm on a job at the moment and was wondering if you might be able to help me. Was there anyone around the area, let's say was a little overdressed for the area in the past few days?"
“Spirit. In every language in all the Realms, surface and Underdark, in every time and every place, the word has a ring of strength and determination. It is the hero's strength, the mother's resilience and the poor man's armor. It cannot be broken and it cannot be taken away.”

As Katugur talks Gendal looks around the bar while waiting for his drink. Having been here before he's confident he will notice anything or anyone out of place even in this ramshackle( investigation 15 ) but he did take a blow to the head after drinking...all the more reason he thinks to himself to be glad SP was cautiously out of sight.
**nobody, anywhere in town, sees SP look in that window**
"The bartender responds to Karugur, "Hmpf, on a job eh? That job pay you money?"
Gendal - You see some of the same people who were here last time, plus a few new people. But nothing looks particularly out of place for this kind of establishment.
Some, more if we succeed. As he says this Gendal drops 2 coins on the bar. Ale for my friend and I plus whatever information you may have. The man missing would have seemed out of place and this is where he was last seen.

"It will be like this, you get one for the information and the other if the information proves to be accurate and leads us to are target. To clarify, this individual that we seek would have been dressed more finely then the usual bunch that frequents this place and has red-blond hair. WE seek any information that will lead us to his location. "

Gendal carefully watches the bartender. Is he being truthful is if holding back? Insight 11, but at the same time he's distracted by what might be a concussion...
The bartender pockets the 2 gold, "Yeah, that's ringin a bell. I rememberseeing a couple fancy dressed guys drinking together a couple of nights ago. I think one left after a while, the other stuck around for couple hours. That was the night Renaer Neverember came in, you know him? He's the son of Waterdeep’s previous Open Lord, Dagult Neverember."
“Chip off the old block, that one!” sneers a patron just down the bar aways.
“Just another spoiled, rich noble who likes to rub our noses in it!” says another.
The bartender continues, "The two of em, Renaer and the other fella, drank and played a few rounds of Three-Dragon Ante before leaving around midnight. Couple men followed them out, as I recall. But I haven't seen any of em since.
Do you know any of the men that followed them. As he talks Gendal nudges his coins over just as his friend did. Where could we likely find Renaer tonight?

The guard says to Gendal as he flashes his badge, "I'm sorry, are you with the Watch? Who's Floon?"
SP will fight the urge to try to loot the corpses as he walks past, continuing to his destination.

Gendal continues walking away.
