Folari heads to the left side of the cave opening, away from the entrance, just in case any one should leave. He leans his back against the rock face, one foot raised from the floor. He carefully inspects his great axe's edge, rubbing his thumb on selected spots to check its sharpness.

 It's about 2 hours before sunset.

Folari can see there is a small clearing behind the bushes on the east side of the river.

Hexody listens carefully for any goblin or bugbear noises.

Perception: 5

You do not hear anything of note.

Hexody looks across the river into the trees. "We should make sure the area is clear out here before we go in. It wouldn't do to get flanked."

“I agree. I would also prefer to wait until night to minimize our chances of encountering anyone on our way in. If we wait a few hours or so, we could suprise them.”

"I agree, good thing that their cap is not a Hobgoblin"

You here a shout in goblin, "Zazgul!" An arrow whizzes past, coming from the bushes across the stream.
A second arrows flies true and strikes Folari in the shoulder.

The party wins initiative, what do you do?

Flaysteir tries to notice any of them. Perception: 14

If he does he shoots an arrow at one of them. Attack: 28 Damage: 11

If not he tries to hide in the nearest bushes or behind a tree: Stealth:19

Hexody keeps her cover in the bushes. She pulls out her shortbow and attempts to recognize the position of her attackers.

**Can we see the source of the arrows?**

 There are two short humanoids hidden behind the bushes.  You can target them, but the bushes are providing cover.

Flaysteir's arrow gets deflected by the bushes and fails to hit it's target.

Hexody draws back her bow, shaking a little. She has never fired it at a living being before. She exhales, calming herself. The arrow tip steadies and she adjusts her aim to let the arrow arc towards the target.

Shortbow Attack: 25 Damage: 6

(OOC: whoa, a crit!)

Bonus action: Bardic Inspiration to Folari (you get an inspiration die (1d6) to spend on a roll before knowing the outcome one time in the next 10 minutes)

From his hiding spot in the bush, Kelsier will fire a shot from his longbow, aiming at G1.

He then pushes himself further back into the bushes, hoping to go unseen.

Folari stretches out his shoulders as he moves toward the source of the arrows. Feeling invigorated by Hexody's words, he beats his chest and raises his greataxe as he crosses the  stream.

(I'm not sure if I can reach either of them or if they are still alive, I'll include for if I can reach either of them. Movement is 30ft but not sure how the stream and bushes will hinder.)

Flaysteir fells the first goblin, while Hexody and Kelsier handily dispatch the second foe.

You can see the area behind the bushes is a nice little ambush spot, but it looks like the two goblins have been waiting some time.
