Buama nods as she listens to Elto's instructions though she had to force herself from not giving him a slap to the back of the head before doing so because his calculations are pretty much what she figured.
She hands of the extra pack she has to Flux as Alhrim runs in with two more. The other is looped over only one shoulder as she puts it to one of the holes Elto has made and is set to feed aether.

The hard part is we are going to have to hold our connects as is when Elto restarts the engine in hopes it keeps the aether from blowing back out the holes and maybe it will suck what we manage not to feed to use for the restart."
Yeah, right. Talk about dicey. She forced herself not to figure out the probability of this working without hurting someone. Maybe being able to calculate things almost as efficiently as a machine was not a good thing. Poor Elto almost had a leak realizing what she had of zero chance if they did nothing at all.

"I'll help too," Namura stepped forward, joining the other elf. Like him, she knew that she had no experience whatsoever that would help her in this situation. She was a hunter, not an engineer.
"Get it set like I have and hurry," the Vedalken instructed, and Namura was quick to comply. Backpack full of volatile power she could not begin to comprehend, check. Nozzle inserted into the little hole Bauma had pointed to, also check. Ability to let go of her panic and the feeling that she was about to die, in progress. "We need to time this right and FAST! The hard part is we are going to have to hold our connects as is when Elto restarts the engine in hopes it keeps the aether from blowing back out the holes and maybe it will suck what we manage not to feed to use for the restart."
With her left hand, Namura dug her short sword as deeply into the wooden floor as possible. Her knuckles white from grasping it so hard, she hoped that it would act as an anchor of sorts. "Three clicks to deposit, try not to die," the ranger gulped, trying her best to not show her panic on her face. "Anything else I need to know?"
Seeing a perfect opportunity to stay out of everyone's way. Duncan sheathed his sword, made sure his face was still covered by his scarf and hooded cloak, then dashed to the nearest seat to strap in. After some fumbling of the restraints he was able to secure himself to the seat.
"Angels above, please don't take me too soon!" He closed his eyes and waited for the inevitable plunge to the earth!

As the 30 second count ended, Lero felt the controls of the ship go slack as the engine died. The acceleration of the decent compounded until he could feel the insides of his stomach swirling around. He lifted off the seat momentarily, the straps being the only thing keeping him from floating as the ship reached terminal velocity. "Here we go," he said. "Almost there..." He watched the horizon as it got closer and closer, felt the wind change on the controls, saw the massive trees rush by... "NOW!!" He yelled as loud as he could, estimating the ground a mere ten seconds below the ship. He kept the thrusters trained, waiting for the engine to kick on. His heart felt like it was coming out of his chest as the lives of his crew and (more importantly) the ship were placed in the hands of strangers in the engine room.
When the engines kick back on, Lero holds the controls steady to stabilize the ship. The immediate g-force exerted upon his body causes him to gasp, but he keeps his hands steady on the controls. He can hear the captain's rapid breathing next to him as the thrusters attempt to cushion the fall. He pulls the controls forward slowly, trying to get the ship to land as softly as possible on the earth (or water) below.
Trying his best to guide the ship somewhere safe, a massive problem lies before Lero: One of the famed skytrees of Peema was standing directly in the path of their collision course. As if Arial had the same thought, "Hold on, our sails might actually be of use to us. We'll have to resort to some old-school methods. Veer hard to the right, and I'll make sure the sails comply." Unfastening the security belt, she bolts out of the control room and runs up to the deck as Lero spins the wheel as hard as he can to the right. While seeming futile, there is suddenly a large shift as the ship steers right. The skytree grows larger and larger the closer you get, till it is taking up most of your view. Yet, you continue aiming for the tiny sliver of forestry to your right, and are able to just barely miss the massive tree by making a hard right, the gigantic monstrosity of wood looming over you to your left. With the forest floor only several hundred meters below, you initiate the final process of the plan.
Down below, you see a small clearing within the trees: like a treasure hidden in the sand, a small lake, with an even smaller island. The chances were small, but this was the prime location to try and crash a ship onto. Taking aim, you plunge the ship downward, then pulling up, hoping to achieve something akin to a skipping stone gliding across the water. Nothing like a skipping stone, the boat crashes into the water, nearly fully submerging... before bouncing out of the water and crashing onto the island in the center of the lake! It takes several minutes to come around and process everything that happened, but eventually you do.
When the ringing in Lero's ears subsides, he shakes his head and unbuckles his straps. He manages to suppress an urge to throw up as he stands. "Captain?" he says... barely a whisper. "Captain!?" He yells it this time, stumbling to the doorway and the hatch to the deck. He climbs it quickly as he begins to regain his senses and immediately looks around the deck to assess the damage, "CAPTAIN?!" He's looking around urgently for any sight of Captain Arial Manfield.
The crash felt like a series of snapshots, all flashing before her eyes so fast Namura couldn't hope to keep up. Her legs lifting just after turning the nozzle three clicks, her fingers slipping from the sword hilt. A sharp pain in her back as she slammed into the ceiling, and an even sharper pain as she fell back to the floor.
Her vision went white for a moment when she hit the floor, the ranger was so overwhelmed by the pain. Finally still, she rolled onto her side and into a ball, clutching her bloodied and bruised arm.
But the pain was a good thing. It meant she was still alive.
Wincing, she brought herself up to her feet, retrieving her sword and putting it back in its sheath. She glanced around, her vision fading in and out. Namura knew there was no time for concussions, she had to see what she could do.
Only one person wasn't currently stirring. The elf, Azi, who had been holding the nozzle next to her. She knelt down at his side and placed a hand on his chest, casting cure wounds as she did so. (You heal 9 whole HP!)
Namura wasn't one to stick around, so as soon as she was sure he was stabilized, she found herself running up to the deck. She stumbled as she ran up the stairs, her head still reeling from the impact. When she arrived topside, she glanced around, looking for any familiar landmark. Peema was a big place, but this is where she grew up. She hunted in these woods, played with her fellow cubs. This was why she was here, to help them find their way in the vast wilderness.
But when she looked around her, she couldn't recognize a thing. There were plenty of lakes in Peema, and this didn't look like any she had played in. "No," she groaned, grasping at a railing to help support herself. "I can't not know, I can't not know..."
After impact, Flux gets to work, unmaking their makeshift seatbelt, and then looking to make sure everyone else is ok.
"If you are in need of healing, I have a brew I can provide you all with, so all you need to do is ask."
Once everyone in the room has taken a Healing Draught (or turned it down), they will head up, looking to make sure that all the others are safe, and if they require healing, to provide it for them with their Healing Draught. [Anyone (except Elto, because the Draught is once per character per long rest) can take one for 2d8 hit points of healing]
Rushing up to the deck, you are taken back by the beauty of Peema. For a small second, the forest seems to overwhelm your senses. Streams of aether course through the tops of the trees, as glowing blue crystals and varying colors of mushrooms dot the exotic landscape. Floating creatures, seemingly made of pure aether, float in the air in groups of their kind, as they softly bob up in down, following the streams of aether blowing through the tops of the trees. Shaking your head, you scan the deck for signs of life, but see none. Panic grips your heart, but is met with relief soon after as you hear Arial's voice shouting on the right side of the ship. "Hey! Someone get me untied!" Rushing over, you see Arial dangling off the side of the ship, entangled in a mess of ropes and the remains of the tattered sails.
Lero immediately heads over to Arial to help get her untied, "I thought you lost!" He yells, "Elto would have had my head if he learned I let you do something so brash!" After he pulls her up and cuts her out with a dagger, he embraces her. "I think we made it... but why the hell were there gremlins on the ship??" He looks at her and gestures for Flux to bring her one of his healing tonics, "We need to gather everyone on deck and assess the damage."
After he feels she's well and on her feet, he heads back below deck to gather everyone to assemble above, helping those up that are too injured to help themselves. He doesn't stop until he's accounted for every guest, crew member, and dark-crew member that was on the ship.
Feeling the crash and sure it was its end, Kraithee could only think fitting that it was going to die because of the Consulate mischief and a traitor that allowed gremlins on board.
When the ship crashed and through clenched teeth and pain Kraithee recognized it was a live and in better conditions then its companions, hearing the offer of Flux:
Flux I do not need the healing, please pass it to another. I am going to check on the redshirts and the others that survived the crash. We need to see if they are...well.
Said that, Kraithee starts searching the ship for other survivors, not letting its guard down, for it truly thinks a traitor is among them.
Buama some who wound up upside down in a corner as the ship hit the lake and then she was thrown again back against the engine as the final bounce put it on the island. The landing on water first might mean less damage to the hull, but she would be surprised if the rigging wasn't all busted up. She slowly stretched finding nothing broken though a few muscles appeared strained.
To Flux, "I'm not injured enough to use a drought. I can do a cure light on myself and probably do well enough."
She immediately does that to help ease the pain so she can help assess the damage. It works just right and she feels the warmth of the magic take away every ache.
She looks around the engine room to see that for the most part the crash did not damage anything. Maybe a couple of the bolts holding it to the floor needed replacing due to the jolt of the two bounces she remembers. If they were not moving out until the next day, which she would prefer so the ship could be organized, the gremlin appears determined, and the team could be fully rested before trekking into the woods.
She went topside as Lero rounded everyone up. She stops and takes her time slowly turning to take everything in. Her eyes widen noting the large tree and some quick calculations of when she had felt the ship tilt dramatically met it had to have been in the way or close enough for the evasive maneuver.
Her eyes finally come back to the ship noting the rigging, as she figured, had toppled over or snapped off entirely. Some of it managed to be dragged along my the ropes and mangled sails. She lets out a slow breath of relief seeing everyone alive and thanks to healing droughts from Flux, not too many badly hurt.

As the ship plummeted to the ground, Azi was trying with all his might to pump the aether in an attempt to help save the ship. He stops at the last moment to attempt to brace himself but instead is thrown from where he is standing and smashing his head into the ceiling and then everything goes dark.
An undetermined amount of time later, Azi awakes to the soothing feeling of curative magic. "Ugh... what happened?" Looking up to see Namura's concerned face he'll return with a smile. "Thank you, for what I assume amassed to you saving my life. But let me be off to see where I can help." He will slowly get to his feet while looking around to take in the destruction, but noting that everyone else looks to be up and moving. Perhaps I am the last to get up, or maybe karma slated me to be the only one taken down. What did I do to deserve this. At this point Azi will kick off running through the ship looking for crew and passengers that are in dire need. He will make his way to where he left his stuff in the lower part of the ship. (Assuming he can get there) He will grab up his great axe, long bow, and arrows wrapping the head of the axe in a sheet very quickly. Next he will grab up as many rations as he can find and then head outside.
Once top side Azi is taken aback by the scenery but quickly snaps to as there is more pressing things to do. He will seek out the rest of his party to try and plan what's next. "We should get off this ship and see if we can account for everyone. We should also send out scouts to see if we're in immediate danger, and tend to the wounded."
Edit- Score, Azi found some food supplies to pack away. Assuming the scouts come back clean, tending to the wounded would be him vi'ing for a short rest.
Seeing Lero's concern of sabotage, she confirms it. "Azsixin.... She was the culprit. As I went up top to secure the sails, I must've spooked her. She threw some tiny device onto the deck, and a large longtusk emerged from it! Poor Dahlun... he tried to tackle her and subdue her, but she nimbly dodged his attempt and thrusted a hidden wrist dagger into his side. Last I saw of her, she jumped off the ship just seconds before impact, right after we dodged the skytree. The longtusk charged me, but with the crash... it's all foggy. My guess is Dhalun is dead, as are two of the darksite crew who were up top, Asonea and Ahtwon, themselves thrown from the ship. I don't know what happened to the longtusk, but it probably got thrown too." She tries arch her back, but grimaces in pain. "I suppose I'm lucky that I got entangled in the sails and roping, as it kept me with the ship." Reaching into her pocket, she pulls out the crushed remains of a healing potion. "Vith'kur! (an elvish curse) It's wasted." She manages through her side pocket, and produces a dose of aether. Injecting it into her personal aether diffuser, she takes a deep breath and sign as the dose depletes into her system. "That will at least take the edge off for a time."
Over the next few minutes, the rest of those aboard and below deck come up. There are four remaining darksite crew members (their nicknames Three, Four, Five, and Seven), Alhrim, Benjin, Lennin, Elto, and the party.
As Duncan came out of the ship, he patted himself down, making sure that a new opening had not been made on his body. Of course that would have been near impossible since he was still covered in his metal skin. Releasing his focus, Duncan saw the sight that lay before him, and it was glorious. He closed his eyes and bowed his head, "Angels above! Thank you for not taking me just yet." He then looked around and began the long process of helping pull people out of the wreckage or offering aid to all those that needed it.

Buama grimaces noting that three crew members were lost and the culprit got away. Though they could have been hurt badly if not killed the way the ship had bounced into the water and then onto the island. She takes another moment to take this all in before going back below decks and assessing what in storage of their gear and whatever else was still useful. One, for their expedition to the site. Two, for the remaining crew to repair and defend the ship. Flux appeared to be helping with this in his own way which actually made her job easier.
She started making notes for what survived and what did not.

Lero looks at everyone assembled, assessing their wounds and current mental state, "We had a saboteur aboard. Azsixin." He watches the group as he says this, "She jumped ship a few hundred meters that way," He points in the direction from which the ship came crashing in. "Namura, I would like you to take a small team and try to track her down. I will accompany you. She should be injured from the fall, but she might be back up and active now. We should be back by nightfall to report."
He looks over to Buama and Flux, "While we're gone, we need others to assess the damage of the ship and determine if it's salvageable. If it is, I can leave the crew here to make repairs while we lead the darksite crew to finish your mission. If not, I'm afraid we'll all be joining you all on the mission... if only to see if we can hi-jack an airship."
"Oh..." he says, "And thank you all for your help. It was an amazing feat of bravery in the midst of such a dramatic event. Myself, the Captain, and the crew..." he sighs as he thinks of poor Dahlun, "We thank you."
Thanks to Flux, the healing draught got rid of the sharp pain in her head. The forest came into focus, and she was able to more clearly come up with a plan. It was clear to the ranger that a broken ship meant that everyone had to proceed on foot, and that meant figuring out where to go from here. Even though she didn't recognize the area, if she could find a path or some humanoid tracks, maybe she could find a way to an area of Peema that she did recognize. She'd have to swim, so she began prepping her equipment and pulling her black hair back into a plait.
"We had a saboteur aboard. Azsixi," the male pirate began his speech, inevitably beginning to dole out jobs. Namura continued ensuring her pack was water-tight and secure, only half paying attention. "She jumped ship a few hundred meters that way. Namura," at the sound of her name, the elf stopped what she was doing and looked at Lero. "I would like you to take a small team and try to track her down. I will accompany you. She should be injured from the fall, but she might be back up and active now. Please be back by nightfall with a report."
"I was planning on heading ashore anyway," the ranger took a step toward Lero as she spoke, stretching some of her sore muscles. "I'm going to look for tracks, to see if we can find our way out of here. Peema is a big place, and I don't recognize this part of the forest. My main goal is to get us to the dark site, or at least to the part of the forest I recognize. If I happen to find Azsixi, that'll be a bonus." Namura crossed her arms, glaring at the human. She was not a fan of being ordered around.
"While the sky was your domain, these woods are mine," the elf whispered to Lero. "When we get down there, I'm in charge."
"Fair enough, Namura," Lero returns her gaze and takes a step closer, "But I will not have lives wasted because you were too stubborn to help track down a threat. Azsixi is out there and she failed her mission. Her mission to kill you and everyone else aboard this ship. Do you think she's going to sit back and allow us to continue our mission? We need to catch her while she's weak and disoriented, and we need your help to do so."
Buama nods as she listens to Elto's instructions though she had to force herself from not giving him a slap to the back of the head before doing so because his calculations are pretty much what she figured.
