Name: Shesha Blacktusk Race: Half-Orc Background: Urban Bounty Hunter Class: Ranger Description and Backstory: Her father, Davryl Hackenwell, is a humble butcher. He offers up fine, fresh meats straight from the wild. What's his secret, some may ask? Well, it's his wife, Shesha's mother. Narishi is a fine hunter! She's also a full-blooded Orc. Now at this point you may be wondering how such a small man came to be with such a hulking, tusked beauty like Narishi. Well, that's a story for another time. For this time, though, it's safe to say that Shesha takes after her mother. She is quite a bit larger than her father, but she still honors and loves him all the same. The business life of butchery never set well with her. Now, she doesn't get squeamish easily. No that's not the problem. The problem is, much like her mother, Shesha yearned for the thrill of the hunt. Yet, unlike her mother, the wilds never called to her. She loves the city!
Soon enough, coming of age to work and hold her own, Shesha set out to find other means of profit. It was evident after some time, bouncing from job to job, that most businesses wouldn't suit her. They got boring too quickly. It was only by happenstance, really, that one day she found her true calling. A thief, a wiry little pickpocket names Siff, stole from her a days pay. She tracked him down. She found him. She beat the snot out of him. The City Watch showed up, surprised that she had apprehended the thief. They'd been chasing after Siff for weeks! They offered Shesha the bounty on Siff's head. She gladly accepted. The rest, as they say, is history.
Description and backstory: The Doktor Professor was a popular character on the Waterdhavian stage a decade or two ago. A doddering but good-hearted intellectual, The Doktor Professor solved a variety of crimes in a series of well-received mystery plays. Audiences rose to their feet whenever The Doktor Professor once again used his intellect to bring evildoers to justice.
The Waterdhavian audience has since moved on to other diversions and entertainments; unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the actor who played The Doctor Professor. Totally immersed in his role, he has forgotten his own name and now believes he is the actual Doktor Professor. After the theater closed down and he was thrown out onto the streets, he now travels around the different wards of the City of Splendors, searching for mysteries to solve and criminals to apprehend.
The Doctor Professor appears as an aged man wearing a battered greatcoat and accompanied by his overdressed loyal sidekick. A more thorough inspection reveals discrepancies in this first impression, however. The shock of white hair is powdered with talcum; the roots of the hair are actually dark brown. The Doktor Professor continuously removes his glasses, as if he sees better without them. The wrinkles around the eyes are the products of make-up, while the pointed elven ears suggest the Doktor Professor is much younger than he looks or believes. As for his loyal sidekick, it appears there is naught but an Unseen Servant beneath the clothes.
Name: Penelope Race: Human Background: Pirate Class: Bard
Description and Backstory: Penelope, daughter of the notorious pirate, Elwin 'Blackmane' Petulengro, is no stranger to danger. Growing up on the pirate ship, The Blind Storm, Penelope would often be witness to horrors most men dare not dream. She preferred to spend her time entertaining the crew, playing music, dancing, and singing in between plunderings and visits to trading posts along the coast. While she didn't know any other life she knew a life of piracy was not for her. She would often try and pass her self off as a professional entertainer when landing in various towns.
One day on one of those times when,The Blind Storm had to make port, Penelope chose not to return. She instead ran and with limited options she ended up at a bardic college. The college was impressed with both her ability with a sword, but also her ability to perform and while she excelled in sword play she ended up being no slouch when it came to casting a spell. Alas a life of academia did not suit her wild spirit and she left the college before completing her training. Penolope hitched a ride on a fishing vessel headed to Waterdeep and hopefully to an adventure that with satisfy her fiery soul.
