 When you make your group investigation check, also roll 1d20.  You need a pretty high roll to get anything magical.

I want you all to have a chance at loot as much as you do.  I wouldn't be stringy with loot for no good reason.  Feel free to roll investigation checks and don't worry about justifying why your characters would know to investigate.

Roll investigation checks (2 total for the group, or 1 with advantage) and 1d20.  The module has a table for lairs, that's what the D20 is for.

Gahh... I was going to ask if there was an obvious lair where these things came from, or an outhouse where they drop the stuff they can't eat (like coins and armor). But then it slipped my mind. Thanks for bringing it up.

Since INT is the dump stat for the party, except for Roldolfo, he should do the Investigation (+6). Beegred has Investigation proficiency and Underdark favored terrain, so he could provide Help for advantage.

Rodolfo is about 300 XP behind Narstin and Beegred. My preference would be to get everyone closer to even.

Is Skameros up to date? He is 300 XP behind Rodolfo, when I looked at the sheets. I forget if that is expected or not.

My vote would be for Rodolfo and Skameros to share it, if that can be arranged. (Maybe wake up Skameros, "hit that blob over there with a thrown sharp rock before you go back to sleep".)

If we, hopefully, continue to succeed together then that 300 XP difference is not going to be noticeable in a couple of levels.

I allowed Skameros to carry over the same XP as his first character (already forgot the name).
