Yep, I had a similar thought. Happy to change feat/ASI if you think its too good as well (some of the Tasha's feats can verge on broken). I'd consider everything a work in process until you approve it and/or the character joins the campaign.
I removed your coin and some of your equipment.
You have what you stole or salvaged before making your escape. A cheap leather vest, writing implements (pen, ink, sand), your Book of Ancient Secrets, a stolen gem you can use as currency and a backpack to keep it all in.
Hey man Magic can do lots of things - maybe it can bring the galub dur back if we put the rocks in the empty space where it should be standing around the menhir
maybe Skameros will stack them like a snowman to it kinda looks like a rock person

Guys, I'm going to be busy for the next two days going through an ISO certification audit. I won't be at my PC for most of the time.
Last I checked, Skameros and Beegred were building a rockman with the remains of the elemental/galeb duhr (P.S. Nothing happens). Narstin is his usual quiet self... as he looks for his lost teeth. What are your next steps going to be?
Hmm well if we failed - why bother going back? maybe we should try and find a different city that can help - they didn't seem overly thrilled to have us there to begin with.
Beegred Thornpost - Lvl 8 Halfling Ranger - Out of the Abyss by Kerrec Drusk - Lvl 8 Half-Orc Life Cleric - The Long Road: Dragon Heist by Mingofaust (player & current DM) Hunferho Aelorothi - Lvl 5 Half-Elf Bard/Rogue - Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus (by Pokepaladdy) DM - Frontier City of Nunkreet (ended)
I know some DM's make their players roll for everything, but I'm in the camp that doesn't make you roll if the outcome is decided. There's nothing to find, so no need to roll.
Can we retcon and say that we brought back both the medusa head and some pieces of the elemental that didn't re-form? I even recall Skameros hacking off the head of the medusa?
The quests were given 6-7 months ago and I didn't think to look back through the posts yesterday before heading out of Rockblight. It was a single in-game day I believe - we only took one long rest?
There are still plenty of chances to return pieces of corrupted elementals (not petrified creatures). And technically, the elementals you fought were resurrected as Galeb Duhr. That quest remains open, and pertinent.
But yes, I also remember some of you preparing the Medusa to return as evidence it was defeated so the head and bits of petrified snake hair are in your possession.
The name of the Gnome that offered the Medusa quest is Sark Axebarrel. He wasn't on duty when you returned.
@nsrhock: As soon as Grithik is introduced to the party, I will put events in motion to push the group in your direction. Hang in there.
@ Skameros: Welcome to level 5
@ Everyone: I'm now officially switching to milestone leveling. You can do things that make sense now, and not worry about not getting XP. Or have to remind me to hand out XP. Or have to comb through posts in the main or OOC threads trying to figure out how much XP you should have...
Everyone is (should be) level 5 now. We are on Chapter 6 of the module. You will need to be level 8 by the BBEG fight in chapter 7. So there are two things that have to get done in Chapter 6 & 7 to trigger level-ups.
After this last attempt to be nosy about Grithik's bag ("my Precious"), I'm ready to move on.

So is the other dead elemental still stuck by the glob? or is it just a pile of rocks now?

Both. Pile of rocks stuck in a glob.

The statues don't seem to move until/unless someone enters that chamber. And they don't follow.
Well, if you insist. Roll for initiative.
Kidding. Nothing happens.

If nothing is happening and we know it takes an hour for the glob to disappear then it makes sense to wait and possibly take a short rest.

Ok, I went back to search for all the stuff we had to do in Rockblight and we actually had three possible quests:
* bring back pieces of corrupted elementals for Senni or Dorbo - https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/play-by-post/27393-official-thread-out-of-the-abyss-by-kerrec?comment=3035
