Is that what the rest of the group wants to do? Go talk to the Pudding King?
It occurred to me that we might have been leaving without asking for obvious information that might prepare our group.
Since Chipgrin is less than forthcoming, I'm fine with the group continuing.

Beegred is always happy to stealth. Not as happy that oozes don't have conventional eyesight, so it is harder to hide from them, with his Ranger skills.
I dunno if people wanted him to scout slightly ahead, or if the entire party is going together (group check).

Stealth is rarely a bad choice. Orubis has advantage if we’re in rocky terrain, but disadvantage for armor. So I’ll roll twice and just take the first roll if he’s in rocks I guess
Rodolfo whispers to Orubis, "Your leader mentioned that you have been keeping it at bay and were you to leave then bad things would happen. What exactly do you do?"
He also tries to discern anything relevant to the "keeping at bay" that could be visible in the area (perception check: 18)
There's a constant stream of oozes and slimes entering Blingdenstone, and they seem to take a path that goes right thru Goldwhisker territory. For every slime that gets through to end up in the Sea of Slime, the Goldwhisker's kill two that never make it.
Oh it makes about as much sense to you as it makes to us.
Some additional background is that we used to travel together with an intelligent and friendly ooze (gelatinous cube) at one point who was also heading to the Faceless Lord. I didn't think of it before, but it might be worth calling out to .. it.. and see if we can have a conversation about the whole situation.
All Orubis knows is the Pudding King is a Deep Gnome who always walks around with a couple of puddings in tow and treats all oozes and slimes like you or I would treat a dog or a cat. You know about the crazy cat lady cliché? Well this is the crazy slime gnome.
And again, to Orubis and the others: Chipgrin was adamant on a meeting with the Diggermattocks before he divulges any further information about the Pudding King or plans to rid Blingdenstone of slimes.
Hopefully they will be horrified enough at the idea of being represented by Beegred, that they will cooperate.

With any free time afforded, Grithik would like to look for a magic/arcane shop (if it exists). He's hoping to be able to trade the gem he's carrying for spell components.
Specifically he's looking for components for Find Familiar and (hopefully) at least 50g worth of ink for use in copying spells.
If he's able to get ink, he'd pester Rodolfo to look at his spell book.

We were literally prisoners shown to the king in front of the whole army. The sooner we're out of there the better.
Are you all going to try to stealth to approach the sea of slime?

If needed, Stealth check: 24 (huzzah!)

orubis stealth 17 and dis 14

Being in the Underdark, you'll have that advantage unless I otherwise say so. And yes, you have advantage here.
Edit: And stealth has a disadvantage: I takes more time. That is situational, of course.
What has Orubis and them been doing?

I’m glad anyone got a kick out of Orubis being a goober

@Orubis: Orubis knows that Chipgrin is the one with the plan and insists he meet with the Diggermattocks to hammer out a deal.
I’m not entirely certain I understand the whole pudding king business, so I hope I’m leading this the right direction?
