"That's more like it! " Ghengis roars, hefting his axe and leaping for the screaming corpse. He takes the Ready action to attack the zombie if it makes any hostile moves.
The bolt of fire streaks across the room, lighting it temporarily in a flash of flames! The bolt impacts the creature's head, causing it to snap backwards with a sickening, burning twist, but the voice continues to grow louder. Ghengis deftly sidesteps around Marion, sinking his axe into the creature's torso and cleaving the head and the opposite shoulder clean off of the body. The pieces fall to the floor, and the scream soon runs out of air, now being separated forcefully from whatever lungs were left to it. You all pause for a moment as the motions settle, and then make out a very distinct, but very ominous squeak from one of the boards of the ceiling. It is immediately followed by half a dozen more similar squeaks, as if the entire second floor was suddenly come alive with inquisitive rodents. You feel an impact through your shoes, followed by a scratching sound from the floor beneath your feet. A window shatters further into the house, and somewhere something starts to moan plaintively.
Ok, this could have gone better but that's a worry for another time. As he speaks Dajur moves towards the door to exit the house. Nice axe work though.

As the floor splinters beneath the axe, Ghengis gets a quick glance of writhing arms and faces, all similarly pale and skeletal. Immediately, prying fingers begin to work at the opening, splintering fragments around the edges. The gap, originally a thin slice less than an inch wide, is rapidly widening. Dajur reenters the front room, and notices Bristen still trying to communicate with the groaning skeleton at the table.

Dajur sees the growing opening and sprays a ray of frost(attack 22 dmg 7 ) at the hole in an effort to slow what's beneath and hopefully cover some of the gap as much as an effort to damage. Is every house filled with the undead to this degree? Dajur continues to move so that he is between the floor opening and the exit.

Ghengis asseses the situation with a warrior's eye. The inexplicable dwarf then proceeds to quote an old dwarven poem as he lops off undead heads with his gore-caked axe. Attack: 7 Damage: 10
Hacking freely at the slowly expanding hole, his strike lands true, but does not seem to have as much effect as he would like. A few limbs are separated from their normal places, but ultimately the hole continues to widen. A full arm juts through and begins to claw around, not yet in range to attack any of the party, but indicating a rapid change in the threat.

Marion
As she searches for her deity but finds her absent Marion is suddenly brought out of her reverie by a scream in front of her. Moments later a bolt of fire streaks past her startling her once more as she is left paralysed by the decision about what is right. Apprehension and worry cross her face as her companion acts right as Ghengis flies by and cleaves the creature apart.
As more sounds begin upstairs and under their feet she is still held still by her concern over how they had dealt with the poor woman cursed by undeath. As Ghengis once more plunges his axe into the floor and reveals the teeming mass below them suddenly Marion finds her resolve and purpose begin to return. She lifts her sword and shield back into a combat ready position and strides back into the other room.
As she does she says aloud to the others, the conviction clear in her voice: ”These poor souls are clearly lost friends. Let us put them out of their misery, should anything of them remain.” With that she moves towards the creature at the head of the table, lifting her sword and strikes him.

As the party members begin to file outside of the house, they watch as a crowd of undead pull themselves up from underneath the house, and are joined by several others descending the stairs. They begin to stumble towards the door leading out into the street (about 17 in all - malnourished and thin looking zombies with slow, lazy movements and dulled reaction times, They even trip over each other in their attempt to crowd towards the door). Dajur, scanning for threats, overhears some shouting coming from the street to the left, but can't quite make out the words. Ghengis's arrow strikes into the swarm, impacting deeply, but only dropping one of the crowd of shambling figures.

She glances at the others, the steely determination in here eyes showing fiercely, and quickly says: “Harry them as you can from afar, I shall be the bulwark that holds them back.” Now she turns to face down the advancing horde.
"I just have to say, you all are a very interesting bunch" He'll say to his companions as he pulls out his rapier and stands a step behind Marion, ready to strike at any undead thing that comes with in range.
