Boo: it's well over a 100 feet down, but you think you can make out a vaguely humanoid shape burning down there. You catch a particularly rank stench of burning flesh tinged with the smell of raw sewage. Yagra says, "Time for me to depart, I have business elsewhere. Thanks for the healing."
Boo stares down into the blacknessand turns to Yagra and nods respectfully, "I am happy to have been of assistance to you, safe journey then my friend."Satisfied the creature is out of sight, out of mind Boo returns to the table and rejoins the others... looking for more to eat.
Summer would bow theatrically, his face maybe betraying his sheer surprise that that actually worked. His tail curling up and flicking behind him, curling and flicking.
"All in a day's work!" He cries to the bar.
He would rejoin the group at the table, pleased with himself, grinning in turn to Zuldarr, Miri and Mercy. He picks up his drink - something non-alcoholic - and downs it like a shot.
When the newcomer human approaches, he says:
"Not at all!" He looks around at the group, quizzically. "Right?"
"You be adventurers, am I right? I could use your help. Mind if I join you at your table?"
Boo, having just begun to eat from a half-finished plate of unattended food she had come across looks up at the man, listening closely to his words as she quickly springs to her feet... plate in one hand, grabbing him by the arm with her other hand she leads him to the table offering her chair to him to sit down, "adventurers for hire," she corrects him, "that's us, adventurers for hire!" She repeats... her words emphasizing hire, "Please take my seat and speak your mind kind and noble sir."
The darkly clad urchin still grasping the plate of food ducks under the table and sits at his feet looking up at him shoveling food in her starving mouth as she listens... to what he has to say!
The figure who approached you strokes his mustache, adjusts his floppy hat, and tightens his scarf. “Volothamp Geddarm, chronicler, wizard, and celebrity, at your service. I trust you’ve noted the violence in our fair city these past tendays. I haven’t seen so much blood since my last visit to Baldur’s Gate! But now I fear I have misplaced a friend amid this odious malevolence.
“My friend’s name is Floon Blagmaar. He’s got more beauty than brains, and I worry he took a bad way home a couple nights ago and was kidnapped — or worse. If you agree to track him down with all due haste, I can offer you ten dragons apiece now, and I can give you each ten times that when you find Floon. May I prevail upon you in my hour of need?”

Boo silently eating, listens to his offer and looks down rather sadly at her dirty rags she wears, well no studded leather for me she thinks to herself... perhaps if the group accepts the job she may be able to spend anything given up front on a suit of simple leather armor... one step at a time she shrugs finishing off the plate looking around for any others left unattended with uneaten food remaining...
Zuldarr gnaws on a bone that he has, over time, turned one end into a point and uses it to clean between his teeth. "One hundred and ten dragons apiece when the search and rescue is finished, huh." Zuldarr stares down Volothamp, "What is the catch? A price like that isn't used for some everyday friend."

Summer's eyes grow as wide as saucers as Volothramp speaks. He leans forward, his tail thumping against the chair leg underneath him, covering his muzzle with his hand-paws.
Zuldarr: Make an Insight check DC10. If you pass read the spoiler.
Volo seems honest, but might be stretching the truth about his ability to pay the full reward.
"No catch, it's just important to me and I'm concerned about the risk to you and want to reward you apprpriately."
Volo describes Floon as a handsome human male in his early thirties with wavy red-blond hair. He was dressed in princely garb when Volo last saw him. Two nights ago, before Floon disappeared, he and Volo were drinking and merrymaking at the Skewered Dragon, a dark, bawdy tavern in the Dock Ward. Volo recommends that the characters start their search there.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(OOC: Zuldarr has a passive insight of 13, but I'll do a roll just in case the passive isn't accepted: Insight4)
Zuldarr looks at Volo narrowing his eyes just a bit, and in a pleasant voice says, "Would you kindly give us a private moment to discuss this decision among ourselves. This would be our first job as an adventuring group and I'm sure a few of us might have some concerns."
Miri leans over to Summer, whispering, "I've never been to the Dock Ward. Will the Skewered Dragon be as nice as this tavern?"
Summer strokes his chin with his thumb and forefinger, considering.
"I've never even been in the city until now, but if my experience here has taught me anything, then it will be amazing!" He says, looking up at Miri. "Just the best!"
He gives the firbolg a bright grin, his excitement positively palpable.
Boo looks out from under the table at the others, while she licks the plate in her hands clean, "I'm all in... to be honest if you couldn't tell, I am rather in sad need of funds so at this point any sort of job works for me."
Hearing Summer's words and seeing his excitement, Miri's eyes begin to shine. "It does sound amazing, doesn't it? The whole city is so new and exciting!" She quiets at Zuldarr's words and waits for Volothamp to leave the table.
Kol looks pleased with the offer. "I'm new in town like a few of you, and I could use the work even if it's just fetching someone who probably got drunk and passed out in a gutter somewhere. We can make some coin while we explore the city."

Zuldarr leans in towards the center of the table and in a hushed voice, so that he is not over heard, says to the group, "He speaks honestly about the work, that I have no doubt. However, my gut is telling me that he's not being as up front about the payment as he is letting on. I say we try an haggle up the up front payment; not too much mind you but somewhere between fifteen (15) and twenty (20) pieces each. Only because some of us are in more need of equipment than others."

"How can we help?"
