Strife will allow a small toothy smile to spread across his face. "Now... you don't seem so vicious now that most of your friends are resting.." He will say walking towards the wolf, putting his dagger back into his belt and keeping his injured arm close to his side in an attempt to stop the bleeding. "So should we return the same kindness your pack has shown us while we were sleeping?" The kobold will say, allowing a small flame to dance across his fingers and illuminate the brass scales of his face and reflect in his eyes. "Who are you?" The kobold will say to the wolf, crouching down near the submissive wolf... the small flame still dancing across his fingertips.

As the force of a wolf loosens from his shield, Niner quickly goes for a strike with the handle of his longsword in hopes of knocking out one of the wolfs. AOO, longsword: 23 Damage: 8
AOO, longsword: 12 Damage: 6
Noticing the spell cast by Strife and the reaction of the wolf, Niner takes a step closer, inspecting the intention of the remaining wolf but still with his shield ready to fend of a surprise.
(( Just so everyone knows, Exo did NOT manipulate his rolls lol. I asked him to fix an error where I couldn't see his rolls, even afer an F5! How peculiar. ))
The wolf gazes into Strife's eyes, and with a slight whimper begins to nudge his sleepy pack back awake. All of them now docile, the lead wolf rests on his hind legs, and howls towards the shining moon above. Seeing Niner approach him, the wolf glances at his cape as it flows freely from the construct's swift stride. He seems to bow before your wood-and-metal companion, before rising back up, and lightly trotting away, looking back as if beckoning you to follow. Its packmates all rise and seem to bow as well, before lazily laying on the forest floor at your feet, no longer paying any mind to the party - their attentions focused now towards the critters and animal scents that your Vorðr senses have slowly begun to pick up.
"Knowing you are outmatched is one thing, but this seems a bit unusual. We should follow their leader as long as everyone stays alert." Niner lowers his shield but does not sheathe his weapon. With a short glance to the wolfs on the floor and then the party, he follows their leader with one eye looking behind to make sure this isn't some kind of trick.
"Better than getting killed! But if they attack us again I'm not holding back." Jubilant chirped brightly, seemingly now more awake after the initial adrenaline surge. After taking a little while to try and urge Posie out of the tree, she held the skittish cat in her arms and turned to follow. She pulled out a torch and lit it on the bonfire for the sake of any of them without dark vision, slung her backpack over her shoulder, and followed after Niner.

Strife would stand up and as the wolf begins to walk away, The kobold would follow. Turning his hooded head back towards the others he would motion them to follow with his clawed hand. "Let's see where they want us to go.."
The other wolves stay behind, you notice one of them begin sniffing intently on the ground in search of food. The lead wolf, however, continues to trod on, glancing back often enough to ensure you were still following. After about an hour of traveling southward, he leads you out of the wilderness to the main road. Along the road is a signpost, it reads Wardenshire and Cais Fail to the south, Bleak Falls and Varlston to the north, and finally pointing towards the hill, the sign reads Ridington. Adjacent to the road, facing east, you spot a rolling hill, and a few tall stalks of what appears to be some sort of herb, though it's a bit too far to make out. You see a well-made wooden store tower peering its head out from beyond the hill. The wolf continues towards the town, looking back and stopping as he reaches the other side of the road.
"You know, I get the feeling the town folk wouldn't like you," Jubilant said to the wolves with a chuckle. "Or most of us, for that matter." She pressed the tips of her fingers lightly to her face, whispery blue flames flickering out from under her fingers, encompassing her body briefly as she cast her eldritch invocation, Mask of Many Faces. When the subtle flames died down, she looked largely similar to before in build and structure. However, she'd taken on the appearance of a human, her hair and eyes turned natural browns, and her horns disguised as pale white decorative headpieces, as though they had been taken from a ram. Her tail vanished and her complexion took on a softer, more natural hue, giving her the appearance of a young human woman. "Shall we?"

The wolf appears to chuckle at Jubilant's statement, as she casts her disguise upon herself, and the rest of the party prepares to venture into town. You follow the wolf to the top of the hill, where the town comes fully into view.

You spot the tower that was almost-visible from the road next to a very diminuitive farm. It seems to be dominated by crops of a tall, dark green herb of whose properties one proficient in herbalism would easily be able to ascertain. The rest of the farm, though - livestock included - doesn't seem NEARLY ample enough to support an entire village, even a small one like this. The buildings seem to be sturdy and well-built, though you immediately notice that there are no visible defenses whatsoever.
VELIMA and DAMIEN ONLY:
You instantly know this to be the common herb cánaib, the primary ingredient used in crafting potions of healing, though it is unlikely commoners would know this offhand. They probably know its healing properties well. In addition, when consumed either by ingestion, or by burning it in a pipe, one can achieve a very pleasant state of mind. Some commonfolk use the herb this way to ease the burden of performing menial daily tasks, and it is often used by lords and nobles to pacify a restless serfdom.
Since no danger seems to come from the wolfs anymore, Niner puts away his weapon during the travel. Seeing the town, he secures his metal mask and checks for his cloak to probably hide his appearance. "As long as we are careful we should not get into too much trouble. I will use my regular excuse where a disease destroyed my skin and voice to why I insist on hiding myself." After a little sip from his water(oil)skin he readies himself to walk the remaining distance into town. "We can go if everyone is ready."
The wolf, again, seems to laugh at your statements. He seems to be very excited, hopping from leg to leg at this point. He barks at you all, seemingly very anxious to get to the small town.
Strife will try to cover himself in his robe and cloak as best he can... pulling his hands into his sleeves and pulling his hood as far forward as possible. While his face was not completely covered.. those taller than him would have a very hard time seeing his face, which was nearly everyone he has ever meet.. considering the size and height of the kobold.
Even after covering himself, the Kobold would stay very close to the warforged... "I will be your sickly gnome friend that doesn't talk much... and likes to hide in your shadow..." Strife will say to niner
Velima has stayed silent still throughout the groups travel, but when they came upon the town and the others began to design their deceptions for hiding their unusual natures, a thing she would never do in their position, she moved to stand over top of the wolf and her silence broke. "Why did you lead us here?", her voice low, near a growl to assert her dominance. Her words were not said with inflection indicating she expected no response, but instead said in a way that demanded answer. (Animal Handling: 22)
The wolf bows his head towards you, Velima, and you think you can hear him say "safe." He waits patiently for you to react to his attempt at communication. It is very early in the morn, an hour or more away from dawn, and the town with doubtless at least be sleepy, and not bustling with curious folk. The rest of the group makes their final preparations, disguising themselves under mask and cloak and spell. In the distance, in the woods to the north and east, you hear faint howls. The wolf who has been leading the party joins them in song. You notice a bit of smoke rising from the chimney of one of the buildings to the forefront of your view, and it appears to be well-lit inside.
Velima would never understand fully, animals were far too pure, too innocent to be understood by the corrupted soul of man. She wondered, though, if the wolves hadn't meant to attack, but rather to rouse the group so that they could be lead away from another danger, but what danger? She nodded to the beast and reached into her pocket to retrieve a Goodberry holding it flat in her palm for the wolf to take.
Pleased at the possibility of catching some sleep in doors, or at least spending a little coin, Jubilant clapped her hands together. "I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm going to see if that's an inn!" she said eagerly, heading to the door of the near building. She paused outside to give the structure a quick look to see if it looked like a home or a business, then knocked out a simple playful pattern on the door..
