"If they can hack the security camera and the board, they could look into my accounts, or the former captain one. Besides we haven't been the most discrete ones moving the parts we needed to repair the ship, and no one with enough money works in the repairs of their own ship."the captain seems to think for a moment and then adds " no one who doesn't really cares about her I mean. Let's see what they have to say. We must be cautious"
"We need to know first what is the proposed job. We didn't want to say yes before knowing the job... and the pay. But I am sure that we wouldn't have to wait much to know both."
Still looking nervous and clearly anxious to get out of the place Juk says ”Mm...maybe we should go to tt..the merchants guild and see if they have any jobs while we wait for them to contact us.”
Suddenly realising Doume didn’t know what the captain had done she adds: ”Oh...tt..the message said to leave ss..something, like the captain did.”
"They contacted me hacking my communicator. She was just by mi side and could hear it. Relax my impatient friend. I am sure that we will know more of this job soon enough. "he taps the nautilian shoulder.
"And I think that we are dealing with dangerous people here, at least they are resourceful. Let's meet them and be sure that we are good, we don't want to offend them. We do not need two groups after us. Not now at least..." he adds smiling to his crew.
Juk turns red in the face when Doume suddenly questions how she had heard conversation. When the captain dismisses it as nothing she is relieved right away and starts to relax again.
As Shean-Tuk continues on about being chased by dangerous groups however she immediately turns anxious once more, fidgeting a bit with her things it is obvious to everyone she is keen to get out of the bar.
As you are all discussing this, Juk you feel someone grabs your arm like your escorting her on a date, you notice it is the woman with the red hair. She speaks in a low tone but the tinge of a British accent ((Or Whatever it would be in space)) is still there “Let's not draw too much attention to ourselves shall we” she says as you feel her slip something into your pocket. “I look forward to working with you!" She says smiling before she lets go of your arm and walks away waving and blowing a kiss towards you.
You pull out of your pocket a small data chip that will work on any display, on the chip it has a small tag that says “The mission basics” it is written in a computer language.
Heading back to the ship to look into this you plug it in and up pops on the monitor the red-headed lady who is speaking much more clearly now “I have been trying to find a group that meets the requirements to help me get back what is rightfully mine. I had a very important package that was being delivered to me when the ship it was on was attacked by the Cho-Gang pirates, they operate near here from a hidden base. I have been able to... “ she pauses for a moment and has a slightly evil grin creep across her lips. “Talked… to a member of the Cho-Gang and found the location of there storage facility. It is too much for me to handle alone. I need your help to get my package back, The pay for this is low I can only offer 1000 credits, also anything we find there but my package is yours to keep. Do you accept this mission?” With this, a large accept or decline buttons pop up on the monitor.
"I believe I'm with Jukuxan on this one. This place is...seedy. I mistrust the quality of the contracts we might receive here."
And might I have heard anything about the Cho-Gang? 26 for History maybe?
Yes, you have heard about the Cho-Gang (with a nat 20 you know a lot lol), they are well known in this sector for there brutality and love for two things over all things. Slave trafficking and lust for tech. There favorite slave to sell is Vect as they are a combination of both. They are also known for working with half-orcs and even some full-blooded orcs. The brutality is well-known since they rarely kill anyone they don't have to prefer to break them and sell them as slaves.
With a nat 20 you know there are 3 individual sects of the gang and the one here is lead by a half-orc named Crump. he is known to have a base somewhere and a few safehouses tho all of these locations are unknown.
"What do you say? I think that making the secotr a little bit more secure worth the risk, but I must say that I am a little bit dissapointed with the payment... " asks the Captain to the crew.
Juk is completely taken by surprise when the red haired woman grasps her arm and she lets out a little whimper of surprise before going stiff and turning slightly white in shock.
When the crew head out of the bar back to the ship she is mightily relieved but still clearly shaken by the experience, if any of you had any doubts about how sheltered a life this young Elf has lived it is very clear now that she has spent her life in the repair yards and despite her obvious understanding of machines and technology has no clue what so ever in the way the rest of universe operates.
As the message plays out on the ship Juk's nervousness gets worse at mention of pirates. When the captain speaks of his disappointment at the pay however her eyes turn wide and a hint of excitement and amazement appears on her face. It is clear that 1000 credits sounds like a vast sum of money to her and the captains casual dismissal of it has inspired a bit of awe in her.
"Dd...disappointed...captain? Bb..but we have no mm..money at all."She says in shock to him as she glances at the others to see how they have reacted. As she continues however she gets notably shaky as she speaks: "I...but...well it...pp..pirates...sir?! Ii..it ss..sounds dd..dangerous."She hesitates again, looking round at the others and realising that they are relaxed about the whole affair. She settles herself and grabs a small measure of calm for a moment. "I'm no ff...fighter...but I am a good healer. And...well I can do magic, nature magic."
"Dear Juk " Shean finds himself getting bonded to the elf as if she was a little sister quite fast " no amount in the galaxy worths risking your lifes... we need the money yes, but she is asking us to risk our necks for petty money. We are not going to do this if you all do not feeling it. I can be desperate to pay the debt on the ship, but if you think it's not worth the risk we could head to the Merchant's Guild. However I like the idea to punch that pirates in the face, so to speak. That space scum good for nothing are a danger for the free travel in the galaxy, and I owe them one for what they did to the ship..." he taps one console with affection.
Worried that the others want to do this and that she is the only one worried about the job Juk tries her very best to look like she isn't phased by it all, despite the fact that it is very obvious how nervous she is. "Ii..it's okay...Captain. If everyone is okay with it then so am I." With this she nods firmly in an attempt to convince everyone, but mostly herself, that she is fine.
"The Cho-Gang have a reputation for brutality, but the job is to collect a package and get out. There may be no need to engage them directly. Besides, they are known tech traffickers and worse, slavers. Whatever small blow we can deal them could help make the whole system a bit safer.
Jukuxan, are you...all right with all this? You seem more than a bit nervous with the whole situation."
At first Jukuxan looks terrified when SOMA asks her if she is okay, but after a moment it changes to embarrassment as her cheeks blush."Ii...I...eh...well....I've never been away from the station before. And....well...I mostly kept to the repair yards ever since I was old enough to start there... I'm good with tech...but...well...I never dealt much with any of the spacers..."
As soon as she finishes talking she turns around and faces away from the group fully expecting them to tell her she can't be part of the crew any moment.

Doume leans over to SOMA and whispers to him. At least, he tries to whisper, but his translator says it plain as day.
"She seems more than a bit nervous about most things."
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
