OOC: I'll take Zyltris turn again, we're getting bogged down in the initiative. Ryan if you want to change your action let me know, it's easily fixed
Zyltris charges forward, morningstar drawn and attacks the goblin (g2). He stands side by side with his ally Beetle, attempting to overwhelm the goblin.
Zyltris attack roll: 15 Damage Roll: 5
Zyltris bluffs an attack, the goblin ducks away. The elfs morningstar smashes downwards onto the back of his enemies skull. The goblins head explodes with shades of pink and red as he crumples into a dead mess onto the floor of the firelit chamber.
Southern Chamber:
In the next chamber, the three goblins remain asleep. Quietly dreaming in the ember light.
Beetle will continue to fight the one he has been fighting, if it dies he will use his movement to get to Syna and Serak and hold his action until later in the round so he can see what is going on
Beetle watches his adversary fall to the floor, relieved that Tyr has come to his aid. Looking around for his comrades he sees the dim shape of Syna beside a huge beast in the darkness of the southern chamber. Gripping his longsword tightly, he charges to the aid of the comrade.
The bugbear sees the paladin approach longsword raised. As the blade swings towards him a hairy hand grabs it and forces it away. Facing Beetle, Klarg shouts in a threatening voice "Your pathetic gods have no place here human!".
Taking a few steps back to steady himself from the bugbears parry, Beetle feels the air around him suddenly warm. Across the hall, Syna begins his spell cast. Beetle dives aside as the area erupts into a viscous roaring flame
Syna sprints towards Serak, trying to escape the approaching Klarg. As he reaches the safety of the crates he casts Create Bonfire at the spot where the bugbear stands. A wave of intense heat follows and bright firelight fills the chamber. Klarg roars in anger as he bursts into flames.
In the safety of the crates, Serak embarrassed with himself, makes another attempt to slay the goblin.
Attack(Advantage): 25
Damage(Auto-Critical Hit): 11
The goblin dies a quick and restful death, still sleeping deeply. Serak transitions to another set of crates for cover, quickly and quietly.
As he runs he calls out to Syna, casting Bardic Inspiration - "Just in time to save a bard in need! Swift death to your enemies!"
He slides behind a large crate on the east of the chamber, beside another sleeping goblin.
A deep, growling bark fills the area. A wolf, lit up by the raging bonfire, charges towards the paladin who has just entered the room. It bares its teeth as it rushes forward, diving through the air, mouth open, aiming for Beetles outstretched arm.
Wolf attack roll: 12
It's teeth strain against the chain mail, but fails to break through the steel. The paladin shakes the dog away from him easily as it turns mid air and faces him once more.
Klarg steps out of the raging fire. Another roar emerges from his huge gaping tooth filled mouth. Singed hairs cover the bugbears hairy body.
Klarg Dexterity Saving Throw: 11 (Forgot about this earlier) Synas Spell Save DC: 13 Damage Roll: 1
A single painful burn covers the beasts left bicep but he seems otherwise unhurt. He takes a few long steps towards Beetle and swings his morningstar high overhead.
Klarg Attack Roll: 10
The human sidesteps, easily avoiding the bugbears strong downward swing. The morningstar screams out as it smashes into the stone below
OOC: What do you guys make of grouping the attack actions like this? Rather than waiting for your initiative turn if you want to roll when you can at the start of each round, I can put them into the intiative order to give you a better picture of whats going on? Struggling to find a way to get around this really. Aside from grouping Monsters and PCs in separate groups and having one initiative roll for each group - then taking attacks in order of PC posts? Not sure, but I'm willing to take suggestions to keep things moving along!
Beetle you can have an additional action, carried over from the last round. If you're attacking you'd only see Goblin 5 or Klarg before the bonfire was set, so they would be your only targets.
OOC: I’m fine with that suggestion. Thanks for rolling mine as I was in work meetings all day yesterday. I will be today as well. I’d like Zyltris to make his way towards G5 to attack. Since I’m about half done on health he will be cautious in his movements towards the battles, trying to deal with the enemy nearest him and not in the middle of all of the enemies.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: No problem Ryan, its completely fine, as I said we all have lives away from here. I want to try and avoid taking rolls off you guys as far as possible, but then also know it'll be frustrating if you're all waiting to take a turn. If rolling for any of you is ever an issue let me know, I'll be happy to resolve it.
Sildar charges forward, heading towards the southern cave. At the top of the stairs he again raises his bow. This time aiming at the wolf agressively positioning himself around Beetle.
Sildar attack roll:9
The soldiers arrow catches at he releases it from his shortbow, it shakes wildly through the air and falls a good 10 feet short of its intended target.
Running alongside Sildar, Zyltris still carrying his morningstar, stops to attack the sleeping goblin at the top of the stairway.
Zyltris Attack Roll: 15 Damage Roll: 11
The morningstar crashes down onto the goblins paperlike skull. With anger, Zyltris bludgeons the creature to death as it sleeps.
Ahead of Sildar and Zyltris, the chamber is largely cleared. A sleeping goblin begins to snore along the east wall. Klarg and his wolf surround Beetle, but the heroes support vastly out numbers the bugbear. The bonfire rages, sending dancing bright orange light to all corners of the room. The previous cold damp air replaced by dry, swirling heat.
OOC: Goblins are asleep. Serak, Syna and Beetle move next.
Beetle enters the room and doesn't see his companions yet but does see one big, ugly Klarg, realizing he could be the leader of this gang he heads right for him whispering.."Tyr I hope to bring you great favor with this large adversary..."
Beetles sword sword swings with vengeance through in the firelight. Too slow to react, Klarg takes a hit from the steel, directly across his bare, charred chest. A pained look flashes across his face but is quickly replaced by intense raging anger.
Deciding the raging bugbear is a greater concern than the goblin slumbering before him, Serak attempts to distract the monster by shouting, "Hey ugly! Your mother was a miniature giant space hamster and your father smelt of goodberries!"
Disadvantage on his next attack roll before end of his next turn.
Bonus Action: Bardic Inspiration - Beetle

The heat from the raging bonfire thaws the freezing ice gathering around Klargs ankles. The huge hairy beast continues his attacks without noticing Synas magical attack. Shifting his bulk around freely, he begins to prepare another attack at Beetle, when a voice calls to him from across the chamber.
Klarg Wisdom Saving Throw: 19 Seraks Spell Save DC: 13
The beast shrugs off the insult, he turns towards Serak and yells back "Quiet yourself puny Elfman! I will destroy your pointed ugly face after I have smashed the skull of this fool! Ripper! Attack!"
A few feet away, Klargs wolf, Ripper launches himself again towards Beetles arm.
Wolf Attack Throw: 24 Damage Roll: 7
Beetle Strength Saving Throw: 12 Target DC: 11
Teeth clasp around the chain mailed arm of the human. Chains splinter as the wolfs jaws clamp down trying to throw his prey to the floor. Somehow Beetle manages to stay upright. He swings his arm violently around, lifting the wolf clear of the floor before casting it aside. Blood gushes from an open bite wound to his weaker arm.
Seeing the paladin suffering in pain, Klarg lets out a deep laugh.
"Good boy Ripper! There will be a great feast for you tonight!"
The bugbear raises his morningstar once more, his huge biceps strain as he begins its swift descent towards Beetle again.
Klargs Attack Roll: 6
Klargs size makes him slow to react as Beetle sidesteps once more readying an attack of his own.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sildar notches another arrow into his bow, eager to avoid the reach of the Bugbear and his wolf in his weakened state. Again he lets an arrow fly towards Klarg.
Sildar attack Roll: 8
Again his frailty perserveres as the arrow shakes and catches on release. Another waster chance sails away off its mark.
"Come on Sildar! You're better than this!"
OOC: Goblins are asleep. All PCs are next to roll.

OOC: If my turn comes up cause I may be busy teaching my culinary 3 class they are in the kitchen now...I'm still on Klarg, if he is down then the wolf)

Klarg roars again and throws a fist towards the paladin who rolls away easily, shouting to his friends.
