A gaunt, skinny man in a long, dark coat steps out from a building at the far end of the yard.
"Good day, boy," he greets Alaris wearily. "What kind horse are you looking for?"
"Riding stock, with stamina and strength, Gospedin Khozyain. At least four, my master says, but more if they're available. And strong."

"Mhm, we have a number of Orlov's available on this side of the yard," the man explains with a yawn. "Your master has coin, I assume?"
Ling merely smirks at Shiva, raising her eyebrows mockingly. The boy in the lobby takes the tieflings' weapons and they are soon met by one of the ladies of the house coming down the stairs. Not Alicja this time, but a woman in a dress of black velvet.
"Oh." Shiva looks to the floor at the unexpected news, thinking to herself for a moment. "Not at the moment, thank you. Would she be willing to speak with me then? I was actually hoping to take her out."
The lady's words are cold water onto Shiva's expectations, bringing her back to the reality of the circumstance. "Ah, okay. I shall return this afternoon then. Sorry for any inconvenience."
With that, she turns to leave with Ling, emerging back out into the streets of the Primorsky District as a heavy and familiar feeling comes to rest on her chest. A feeling that she did not want to face right now. "Hey honey, I'm feeling a little off, so I'm going to try to blow off some steam. Do you wanna come?" But her voice trails off, now realizing that it is not only freezing out, but the early hours of the morning when few are out and about. "Maybe we should get those rooms., actually." Making an about-face, she heads back into the Lauda and requests a room.
Ling shrugs and casually follows Shiva back inside. Where the lady of the house is only too happy to provide them with somewhere warm and comfortable to relax.
"Should I open a tab for you," she inquires, "and what kind of company would you prefer?"
"Mhm, we have a number of Orlov's available on this side of the yard," the man explains with a yawn. "Your master has coin, I assume?"
"Indeed. Payment will be made upon delivery to the Black Sheep, if they're healthy stock and not scrawny nags. Would you be able to include tack and saddlebags?"

"Of course," Alaris is told with grace, "the beasts are stabled just in here." The man continues, gesturing to the row of doors that they have arrived in front of. "I'm sure you'll find them to your master's liking."
Shiva and Ling are shown to similar room as those seen the day before, though this time it is a single bedroom and not a group suite. Ling amuses herself tossing knives at the wall, until eventually a scantily-clad blonde arrives with a flagon of wine.
"Can I get y'anything else, m'ladies?" She asks with a hand on her hip and a daring smirk.
Shiva sits up as their company arrives, admiring her from the moment that she walks through the door. "No, I believe that you have brought us all that we require." With a licentious smile, she turns to her comrade. "Ling, if you can handle the wine, I'll keep our new friend from feeling neglected. Does that sound alright with you, Miss..." She looks to the lovely woman with amused expectation.
"Natalia," the girl tells Shiva with a familiar Ruslan twang as Ling scoops up the wine and saunters off with a cup to nose about the nearby rooms. 'Natalia' swaggers up to the cushion covered bed and climbs on top of it, lying on her side with her head propped up on one hand. She arches an eyebrow at Shiva as though to silently ask 'what now?'
Shiva's smile fades as lust floods her body and hangs her eyelids low. Reaching out across the bed, she gently trails a finger down Natalia's cheek. "Do you think that I'm pretty?"
The following hours are filled with sensuous embraces and passionate exertions that coax Shiva into a peaceful sleep.
Kazimierz happily gathers up Astrid and Nimue's coin and wishes the trio a good day as they set out in search of Haus Sternental. The two elves find the big old townhouse sandwiched between others of its kind in the heart of Primorsky district. The architecture is built tall and ornate in old Teutlan style and the gates are forged of black iron, topped with long pointed spires.
As they come upon the site of the massacre, Nimue wrinkles her nose at the grand and pretentious architecture of Haus Sternental and the surrounding buildings. She'd never much cared for the rigidity of human imagination, and a sudden pang of homesickness beats in her chest. How she longed to return to the deep forests of her home. The rivers, those great monuments and memorials to the ancestors of her people. The lifeblood of the forest. And the tops of the soaring trees. She'd always found solace up in those highest of branches, one with the sky and the birds flying free, where she felt closest to Aralath, sure of the path he laid before her. But she wasn't in Elden. She was in Tanem. And Piotrgrad had few trees within the borders of the city.
"So this is where the Morgensterns live." She pauses. "I don't like it."
Ghoul takes to the skies with a squawk, circling lazily over the garden beyond the bars of the fence and peering down into the mist-filled gloom below. Paved pathways divide the garden into neatly arranged into beds of flowers, herbs and mushrooms, the majority of which form sombre rows of purple, black and blue. Numerous insects and spiders dwell amongst the plants and grimacing gargoyles perch amongst the eves overlooking the approach.
Caio looks on from outside the gates, his vision magnified by the enchanted mask that he wears. There doesn't appear to be light in any of the windows and the front door's silver knocker is wrought in the shape of a star.
“It’s theirs alright; a bit on the nose with the decor.” Caio’s eyes grey over slightly as he transfers his vision to Ghoul. “Quite a lovely garden, though I wouldn’t be surprised if all those roses have thorns. Lets keep on our toes.” Ghoul maintains his aerial patrol as Caio looks to Astrid and Nimue. “Shall we?”
Astrid glances about nervously. "Uhmm... 'Shall we' what?! You don't mean to try to go inside?! If those flower beds look well-kept then it's likely someone is still here!"
Nimue smiles mischievously at the dwarven woman. "Precisely." Her expression falters for a moment. "But if someone is here, they might know something. I have to take that chance."

Shiva beams as the lady greets them. "Good morning, yes. Is Sonya available? I would like her company for most of the day, if that would be possible."
The woman gives Shiva a perplexed look.
"I'm afraid that Sonya doesn't start until this afternoon, but I'm sure that we can find you someone to match your tastes. Would you care for a room?"

"Yes, please." Shiva says with a smile. "Perhaps company of the same variety as Sonya; Beautiful, strong-willed, mischievous. "
