As for Temples Arc," she pauses looking anxious, "I would like to avoid them if we can," she finishes but does not elaborate.
Seeing Conor stand and go to the bar to ask for work Az will stand too and accompany him.

The dwarf jumps slightly at the use of his home tongue by a human, "Ah well that'll depend on the sort o' work yer lookin' for? The Lions hire up and comin' merc's for some work. I hear the Legion are lookin' for bodies, if that's yer kinda thing." He spits into a tankard and polishes it. "There's the notice board outside the justice halls too, but it can be hit or miss." He shouts at an impatient patron and shuffles over to serve him, leaving you to ponder the choices.
Later, once the games of chance finish up, Conor and Azrael accompany the victor - the tall gaunt man - back to his home nearby, which deters any would-be attackers. The man thanks you both for the company, before offering each of you a copper shine for the service.
Unless anybody has any further business, you each spend the next few hours chatting around the table and taking in the atmosphere. The dwarf bartender charges you each a silver star for the night's stay around the hearth, and provides blankets if they're requested. A few other sailors, mostly foreigners also sleep in the common room, their drunken snores providing an annoying ambience to the exhaustion you all feel.
The next morning, you all wake to the sounds of movement. The first crack of dawn reaches through the grimy windows, and you notice the sailors in the tavern rousing themselves for a day's work on the waters. You hear the faint sound of a ringing bell, announcing the dawn from the nearby temple. On the table where you sleep rests a note from Valen. It explains that he received word from the Bastion, and has called him back for service. He thanks you all for your company, and hopes to see some of you in the future. Arcast quietly received this information in person a couple of hours ago when the man quietly left, shaking Valen's hand and wishing him a farewell as the kriegzug momentarily left his inactive state.
The dwarf saunters over to your group as you blink away the last touch of rest, he slams a stale loaf of bread into the middle of the table, rattling it. Then, sliding a plain-looking bowl in front of each of you, he begins to pour out servings of purple soup. It doesn't smell amazing. "So, haven't seen you lot here before. What's yer business in our great city?" the dwarf grumbles.

Alexia frowns faintly at Valen's note, but looks relieved for the briefest of moments before she carefully schools her features into quiet curiosity and begins tying her hair back, listening to the conversation between Galius and the dwarf.
Riannis vanished soon after dinner, but while Alexia is listening to the conversation, she glances at a spot under the table and Riannis pops into existence. The sprite looks around for a moment, then sits on a support beam under the table, swinging her legs idly.
"Well, moving on, we need to make a decision on what we do next." Arc approaches the Dwarf and shows him the beautiful small chest that their money came in "My good man, I see that we have many leads to follow but before we do I would ask if you know where we might sell an item as beautiful as this chest? Our companion here"pointing at Az "has suggested that we might garner a reasonable sum for such a nice box and cash is always welcome."
"After we have taken care of these minor necessities I would follow up on what you mentioned a moment ago. Where would be find either the Lion's, the ones who you say do hire mercenaries, or the Legion. We could inquire at either or both of those organizations to see if interesting work is available. We also appreciate the information about the notice board outside the halls of justice." Arc looks at the Dwarf for answers.
Maeliel, the 11th day of Omael, 1196 (24 years since the Elfcleanse Edicts)
The dwarf looks the kriegzug up and down as he addresses him and exhales, "The Lions'll be down on their boat in the Lower Docks. The Greenfish they call it. The Legion ya can't miss, they've swarmed the south half o' the town and spilled out onto the roads. That bloody fool Bolger is running down the town's food every day that he keeps his god-forsaken army here." The dwarf starts wiping down an adjacent table with an old rag that looks more likely to apply dirt than remove it. "As for yer box, ya won't have any luck selling it up this side o' the bridge. Folk this way prefer practical goods. Try the fancy southern side o' town." He grimaces at his last sentence.
After you've got your gear ready, you each leave the tavern and begin your journey across town to Kwenthro's shop. Along the way you find yourselves moving through a bustling marketplace on the northern riverside, close to the temple. It appears that, as the dwarf said, the majority of items sold here are practical in nature as opposed to decorative. There are fine works of metal and arms, trade goods, livestock, food and drink, clothing and more for sale at the small stalls.
[OoC]: If anybody wants to grab something here on the way to Kwenthro's, that's absolutely fine. Any non-magical items under 50gp from the PHB are available.
Once you exit the other side of the marketplace you see the large justice hall in the shadow of the church, with its columned balconies and marble stonework. There is indeed a board outside, and it currently seems crowded with a number of sorts from farmhands to adventurers.
Crossing the busy bridge with the guard approval, you find yourselves admiring the sights of the more well-to-do side of town. The buildings and streets look cleaner and in better shape - as do the people. After a short walk you find yourselves down the road from Kwenthro's Crystal Commodities, it's large, closed wooden double doors facing out onto the cobbled road - it appears to be closed despite the hour. The detached building sits slightly lower than the peaked roofs around it, and the alleyways on either side don't appear to be travelled. The street itself is busy. Sycophant bachelors parade potential courters up and down the paved paths, and the nobility either walk stiff-backed or are carried on small palanquins borne by lowly looking elf servants. Additionally, the more wealthy craftsmen and merchants travel the road, ornate looking carts and wagons laden with cargo rolling across the cobbles. The sounds around are busy, but more refined than the north town - there is no shouting and cursing as urchins dodge between wagons or heated negotiations on the sides of the streets. The smell of the city is also lessened here by the scents of colourful flower planters that sit beneath most of the windows or colourful plant pots hanging from fine chains.
"That's odd," Az says getting as close to the shop as possible before turning to her companions. "Shouldn't it be open," she asks them curiously gesturing at the closed doors.
Az then walks to the nearest window attempting to peer inside.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Conor looks over the shop from outside "I'm assuming it didn't look like this last night?"he asks of Arc and Alexia. "Seems strange to be closed in the middle of the day, I wonder why that is, owner could be unwell I guess. I'm going to take a look around." With that the little rogue calmly walks down the alleyway closest to him and attempts to walk the perimeter of the building, looking for any additional ways in, windows and basement entrances. As he does he asks the Warmfather to aid him in his searching.
Alexia frowns at the shuttered building and stares at the street, watching the palanquins go by silently. Her face is sober, with a hint of anger visible in her eyes, and her lips are pressed together in a thin line.
Riannis turns invisible and follows Conor, checking the shop from a height of about ten feet.
As you circle the building, you don't find any evidence of low windows or a basement. There are high up windows that have been shuttered, near the tops of the outside walls at heights of roughly 9 feet. The building is quite large, and is almost as big as some of the fish-houses on the docks. As you wander down the left alleyway, the light of the morning sun barely reaching you from the nearby rooftops, you spot something on the wall of the building. It appears to be some sort of rune marked on the brickwork with chalk, half-hidden behind an outcrop in the brickwork. The rune, which appears to be made in fading white chalk, looks like this:
Riannis:
As the sprite circles the building in the opposite direction to Conor, she sees that there is a closed, slanted window on the southern side of the rooftop, just out of the sunlight and out of sight of those on the ground below. It appears to be rusted and grimy, with barely any light managing to pierce through the filth staining the glass. However, it does not appear to have a lock. The window is about two feet wide, and would likely require somebody fairly flexible to squeeze through, should it be opened.

"Hmm, interesting" Conor looks over the rune, examining it, trying to recall anything helpful, he once more calls on his god to aid his recollection as he investigates. "Warmfather, grant me your insight for a moment, most holy."

Alexia's head turns slightly towards Arc at Az's question, but she remains focused on the street.
Riannis zooms around the building and hovers next to Conor, turning abruptly visible perhaps a little closer to his face than necessary. "There's a window up high," she informs him. "No lock, but it's small. You'd have to wiggle."
As remains with Arc and Alexia having put up her own hood carefully watching the passersby. She then asks Arc:
"What's your interest in the Sun Temple? Is your God not here," she asks curiously while the others investigate.
Arc listens and wonders what happened to those in the robes from before. "Interesting, it would seem the devotees have moved to another area, they would be noticeable in their robes here."
He turns as Az shows interest in his motivations, "Ah, yes the Temple of the Sun, I have heard it is an interesting place if nothing else. The Dwarf and some of the Gnomi where I spend my early years have developed a sophisticated pantheon that is really more practical than spiritual for the majority of them. They follow the earth, or poetry, or visions depending on the mode and then, of course, there is Kreigun Lord of the Battle that is so important when war calls. They seem to always have a reason to move in one direction or another and a deity to follow when they get there. I have found it interesting to contrast those lands with what they do here in Foarland and the worship of the Warm Father. Not nearly as interesting or dependent on modes. And maybe not as practical unless you really are trying to find the spiritual. At least that is how it seems to me. I have the deep curiosity to find out why men do what they do and I enjoy seeing interesting structures and this Temple is supposed to be most interesting."
Are then listens to Alexia's message from Riannis. "Humm, is there reason to investigate this place more closely? I'm not sure I am ready to trespass but I am curious. What do you two think?"
Alexia shrugs. "I was planning on heading to the Elfslums, personally, but I'd be happy to tag along on investigations or other things of the sort."
