Yorvalor pats Emund back. "Good luck to us indeed Brother Emund." Yorvalor grants Emund a Bardic Inspiration.

The door creaks a bit but opens enough for Emund to take a look.  

Down the hall is one of the knights.  He's off duty, so not fully armored.  Three other members of the clergy are with him, as they discuss what's been going on.  Their back and forth conversation going mostly into gossip of having the Saint of War inside the Cathedral.  Who saw who. Impressions. Entourage.  They're not entirely paying attention and, Emund, you know that you could find your way towards the next series of passageways to eventually head down towards the vaults.

Knocking them out may work as well.  But with four total, the fact that one could shout and ruin your day plays in your mind.

“What do you see Brother Emund?” Asks Yorvalor in a hushed voice.

Emund reports to Yorvalor what he sees, before making his suggestion.

"Ready your strikes, they won't be able to call out, but they'll also know something is wrong in a moment." 

Emund will open the door, cast Silence centered on the people and charge out, aiming to knock out the knight with his spear (18 + 1 Inspiration, for 9 damage).

Yorvalor sees Emund rush to disable the knight, he makes a funny face to the people in the hallway, and casts Hideous Laughter on the knight (WIS 14).

while talking finds himself suddenly in silence.  A thwack hits him from the back of the head, causing him to stumble but not go down.  He turns, drawing out a simple mace as he swings it a bit blindly to try and smack Emund.

One of the clergymen attempts to shout, before realizing his voice isn't carrying before diving to jump and punch at Yorvalor.

The other two begin to move down the hallway away from the skirmish.

Yorvalor dodges the clergymen's punch, and tries to move ahead of the hallway in order to stop the other two from going any further. (If Yorvalor does not need to dash in order to move ahead, he will take the Dodge action before moving.) When Yorvalor has blocked the clergymen, he points his rapier at them, and waves his fingers (in a nah nah nah fashion).

Emund will continue to try and knock the knight out (20, for 9).

The two clergy that Yorvalor prevents from moving, instead of cowering turn and attempt to wrestle with him.  Fists flying as they get into flanking positions with each other.

Yorvalor sighs. "I tried." He says, even though no one can hear it. He strikes one of the clergy, making sure that he does not strike to kill. (Attack: 13 Non-Lethal Damage: 5)

Narrowly ducking underneath the clergyman's fist, Emund swings up with his spear, attempting to crack him in the head to knock him out.

Both Yorvalor and Emund easily knock out the two.  

That last one, either from adrenaline or simply not being able to hear how well his friends - aren't - doing... takes a last swing at Yorvalor.

(I'm just going to say you knock him out as well.... AC 10, 4 HP...odds are in your favor)

The last clergy man, despite his last attempt, is also knocked out.  Glancing around, nobody heard the skirmish.  Or saw the skirmish.  As you hide the knocked out members of the cathedral (who will regain consciousness in 1 hours), you think for a moment.  You're in one of the wings.  The library isn't too far away; although it is a protected site.  There is likely passage to the underground and different chambers down that route.

However, with Curtis' ring, you may be able to get into his private study.  Although you would have to sneak past anyone in the grand chamber.  But his room does have secrets unknown to you; tied to the ring he 'dropped.'

Yorvalor start to drag the two unconscious clergyman to the room they came from. "Should be bring them to the room and tie them Brother Emund?"

(BUMP)

Yorvalor drags all the unconscious clergymen and the knight to the room and tie them with ropes. He also looks for something to muffle their mouths.

"Very good." Emund looks at Curtis's ring and begins to think about the best approach. He wouldn't have offered it if it weren't for some useful reason and he certainly wouldn't betray them.

"Let's make our way to Curtis's office. I think there might be some things we'd need to see there."

"I am right behind you Brother Emund. This is your house after all."

(OCC: @DM. Is there anything that Yorvalor can use/wear from the clergymen instead of him casting a Disguise Self?)

Once Yorvalor decides on garb or spell, the pair makes their way to Curtis’s office, moving quietly and carefully (Perception: 16 and Stealth: 6).

Emund and Yorvalor look around the room, trying to see if there's anything to be stuffed in the mouths of those they knocked out.  Unfortunately, there is little.  Some papers that could work but it would buy a small bit of time.  Nothing that can be tied up.

Continuing onward, the duo heads down a few hallways.  Keeping their heads low.  Ducking and slipping until they can see the grand chamber.  Ahead, in the room, is a Knight, along with one of the Saints guards.  A few other Preists and Nuns are about, attending to the visitors that are coming and going.  

Emund, you know standing around the edges are at least four holy guards.  A rank that's not quite a knight or a paladin.  More of a acolyte who's here to defend and assist in any situations that may rise up.

Curtis' chambers are to the side in the back.  It would be a blind attempt to walk and hope that nobody notices you.  (Stealth roll... but open to hearing suggestions / distraction ideas / that can assist and bring down the DC)

What do you do?
