"Look, you seem fine, but thinking and making decisions about who to trust and what-not are above my pay grade," she laughs sourly, as if she thinks differently of her own skills. "But, what I can do is mention you to my boss...if he is interested...he'll get in touch with you." The half-orc shrugs, "That's about as much as I can do."
She takes a sip of ale thoughtfully. "But as far as I go, I appreciate you speaking to me like I'm not some thick-skulled idiot. I'd don't often get that around here." She stands, grasps Daron on the shoulder in a friendly way and makes her way toward the stairwell in the back. "I'll talk to my boss," she calls over her shoulder.
Daron gives a nod and watches as Yagra walks off to the stairwell before rejoining his companions. He takes a tankard of ale and leans back against the wall as they're in mid-conversation with the strange follow.

Kip leans in to whisper to Gryk in the others, “I recognize this man. His tome on monsters is quite well read, especially amongst those who venture. He’d be a wise ally to make, especially if he is offering coin.”
Then louder to Volo, “Yes, my friend, where last did you leave your wayward friend?”

Volo looks visibly relieved as many of the group seem willing to search for his friend. "We were out two nights ago, slumming about. He was trying to help me with my writer's block, you know. We ended up in a seedy little place in the Dock Ward, called the Skewered Dragon." Volo catches a look from several of you who know about this establishment, known to be a place where intimate favors are bought and sold. "We were just there for the atmosphere," Volo decries. "Looking but no touching for me," he laughs. "I had a sudden inspiration for my new book and left. Floon seemed to have his eyes on another patron or two and decided to stick around for a while. I left him to it." Volo's shoulders slumped. "That's the last I've seen of him. I've asked all our mutual friends. No one has seen him since, and he missed an appointment with his tailor - not like him at all."
Kip listens intently, nodding now and then before asking. "This patron or two that your friend favored...remember any names or descriptions?" he asks, before turning to the others. "It sounds like a tavern crawl is in our futures tonight, friends."

As Daron waited for Yagra to talk to her boss he listened in on the conversation that was going on between the rest of his companions and this strange fellow they were talking to, discerning that he wasn't in fact some fan, but was someone looking for help. At least from what he could gather."Tavern crawl might sound fun," he said, "but while we do that we should consider, according to Yagra, there's a turf war the Xanathar's are involved in."

“Inspiration strikes in the oddest places,” Volo relies with a wink and a smirk, not even the mystery of his friend’s where abouts are able to contain his usual mannerisms. “But, seriously. This sort of disappearance is completely out of character. Had he decided to travel or, hell - even spend the night, he would have sent for his servant to pack an overnight trunk with four sets of clothing. ”
”Floon is a handsome man, mid thirties, red-blonde wavy hair,” Volo describes his friend. “That night he wore a violet jacket trimmed in silver and pewter colored trousers. That’s how I remember the two he spoke to briefly before I left. A dark blond man and a gnome at the next table. The were complementing Floon’s attire.” Volo pursed his lips and three creases formed between his brows. “The bar ladies seemed to know them,” he finally said. “Yes, one was called Stanley, I think.”
"WOOT Tavern Crawl!" She says with merriment as she takes more in to drink as she then slams down on the table. " I'm down, I even met a couple of Halfling ladies who work there, do a bit of grift here and there, the barmies never see it cause we flitch and flam them"
Daron, you see no sign of Yagra’s return. Seems any message from her boss will not come tonight.
After all the events of the evening, the hour now approaches midnight. A soft rain patters against the window of the Yawning Portal. Molly, the barmaid, has disappeared and the only one manning the tavern is Durnan, who is sitting at a table cleaning and oiling his sword. Only a few tables are occupied with patrons. Threestrings the bard is putting away his lute and counting the coins of his nightly earnings.
Volo slides small piles of ten gold dragons across the table to each of you. “You can find me here most afternoons and evenings. Please find my friend.” A glistening coats his eyes and he looks down at his hands a moment befor dabbing his face with a handkerchief with a lace edge. He looks up again, nods, and stands to leave the table stepping toward Durnan.
Daron looks down at the gold and pockets it and looks over at the others. "Indeed we don't,"he said to Leol and walks over to the door, "I agree. Best take advantage of the night, as it were."

"Dock Ward at night, yep Always wanted to get gutted and pinched in an alley by ner do wells" she finishes her pilfered drinks and then giggles."Damn thugs give those of the craft a bad name"
“Eh, 3 gold should close your tab, fellows. You can leave it on the table,” Durnan says with sword and oil cloth in hand as you all stand and begin to gather yourself you leave.
Leol would know that the Skewered Dragon is open in the day as well. With no hard set times for opening and closing, he and some of the others would know it opens mid to late morning and closes a few hours after midnight, unless sales beg otherwise.
