You leave the Great Hunter’s Abode and head back through the Central Garden to the far side without making too much noise. Talien’s heavy metal footsteps do make some noise, but they do not attract much attention.
When you reach the southern side of the Central Garden you find a 10 foot wide tunnel light by the luminous fungus you previously encountered. Following the tunnel leads you further south for another 45 to 50 feet at the end of which you come to a stop as the floor suddenly becomes uneven.
A rift opens up in the floor and its debris-strewn floor drops 2 feet below that of the corridor where you are standing. No phosphorescent fungus grows in the rift making it hard to see into.
The corridor continues past the rift, though the opening of the rift has caused it to shift 10 feet to the west. A number of two-foot-diameter holes riddle the floor of the rift. The small holes in the floor extend as far down as anyone is capable of probing. The smell of burnt earth hangs in the air.
(Essentially this used to be a straight tunnel, but when the citadel collapsed into the ravine it caused the floor to sink 2 feet and shifted the tunnel to the west.)

There’s only the glowing fungus, so those without dark vision can now see better. You can now see there are three “paths” to choose from once inside the rift. You can continue on to where the end of the hallway used to be (on the map you can see this leads to room 46). You follow the rift Northeast (which will bring you around into area 47) or you can follow the rift Southwest (into area 45).

I think we agreed that we wanted to clear out 45 first, the idea being to not leave anything potentially at our backs if we could help it.
Unless our sneaky members want to try & see what is causing the glow without engaging?
Arxius will nod towards the southwest (45). Though wary of the light, clearing out the areas one by one seems a better strategy to her. She draws her bow and nocks an arrow just to be on the safe side as she begins to slowly make her way to the room.
You approach the large stone door at the end of the hall leading to area 45 and find it closed and stuck hard, requiring someone to make a successful DC 15 Strength check to pull it open.
Talien makes the job look easy as he simply drags the heavy stone door open. The bottom of the door scrapes along the floor causing a grating sound. When it is fully open you can see inside..
Area 46, Old Shrine:
Faded mosaic tiles still decorate parts of the wall, but most have fallen to the dust-covered floor and shattered. Situated at the center of the chamber stands a slim pedestal of rusted iron shaped like an upright dragon. In the dragon’s mouth rests an empty tray.

Some please make a perception check.

Is the perception just for those in the front, dealing with what's ahead?

You spot a flickering glowing light from to the far southeast (leading to 46). The light pulses rhythmically, almost like a heartbeat.

Come one Talien. Let's see if one of us can get it loose.

(Don’t forget tools can be used to assist too.. anyone have a crowbar maybe?)
Or, since it is stuck, we can always make it more stuck. Anybody got any spikes we can use to wedge it shut even tighter?
