That averages to 13 (in D&D maths)... good to know.
You start forward and head down the stairs. As Grom previously relayed the staircase is damp and the stairs are somewhat crumbly underfoot. He didn't relay the musty smell caused by wet stone and moss, nor goblin trash that seems to be standing in the pools of water.
There does not appear to be any guards and you see light as you approach the bend in the hall. Once you reach it how would you like to proceed? (Perception check if you'd like to scout around the corner, or you can just keep moving.. up to you).
Ungrim flies low around the corner as high to the ceiling as he can without bumping it and proceeds down the next corridor... he sees only an empty hall, until he gets about 20' before the first door in the eastern wall and a cloaked figure pokes slightly out of the doorway...
The figure peers down the corridor as if searching for someone, or something...
Shadows from the sconces and hood obscure the figure's face, but when the figure moves back into the room the hood shifts backwards slightly and Ungrim catches sight of an elongated ear with the point having seemingly been rip to create a fork...
alright lads, "the hallway ahead is alot of the same... dont notic..... wait wait, there is a hooded figure in the doorway ahead... looks like this creature has a hood, and one of there ears was pointed but appeared to be damaged and ripped..."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"That's Arxius!"Rees hissed. Something was wrong, they should have gotten out. Rees moved to the front of the line, staying with the group but leading the way. Guilt warred with determination - she should have tried harder to make Arx stay instead of letting her go off on her own.
Rees holds up the necklace as if it were all the proof she needed. In truth, he was right, it might not be her but it wasn't a risk she wanted to take.
Talien pulls out his sword and says to the group If it is her she will not hide and show herself. If she does not her,she will remain hidden and we will attack. I don't see how she made it ahead of us. I will be the bait.Talien moves forward alone, with no attempt at stealth.
At the mention of shapeshifters Shake asks quietly and nonchalantly, "You having problems with Shapeshifters? I have heard stories that some of them can be a nasty lot. Still, I have heard that most are alright?" He says the last as a question with lifted eyebrows.
There seem to be at least a couple connected to this place that have proven to be problematic for us. I don't know much about them as a race. I guess they're like humans, dwarves, elves, or any other sentient race. Some are awesome, some are ********, and most are just trying to live their life.

Shake seems satisfied. "Yes. That is what I have heard as well, although they do have an unusual skill-set. We must not take anything we see for granted."
