Talien looks everything over and rummages in his pack. He shrugs and says. I can't afford the kite shield. Perhaps if I can find you again in the future I will purchase it.
By chance, do you have anything that can quiet my armor a bit? It tends to be a little clanky and loud when I move.
"You could try using that old cloak to muffle the noise" the owner chuckles as she points to Arxius, [EDIT:] "But, in all seriousness I have one more cloak made by elves.. it will cost you 500 gold though."
The croan opens an armor you didn't notice before that is behind the counter.. she pulls out a cloak and a belt.. the cloak is a bit faded, but is still a beautiful grayish blue with gold trim and very light chain mail around the shoulders. The belt is made of dark red leather and at its center is a golden buckle emblazoned with a hammer and anvil.
"The cloak is 500 gold... the belt is 1200 gold.. if you buy both I'll knock it down to an even 1,500.." she smiles slyly.
"What are they exactly?" she asks, looking over them curiously. She obviously can't afford the belt, but the cloak has certainly caught her eye and she's sure Rees will give her the extra gold she needs.
“Why the cloak protects ya from dangers and the belt helps ya lift heavy things” she smiles crookedly. “Cloaks made by elves.. belt by dwarves. If that’s what you prefer also have bracers that protect you.. those are also 500 good. They look a good fit for you master dwarf.”
Grom will inspect the bracers Do they look of Dwarven Quality or better? Investigation: 22

They are Dwarven and of excellent quality.
Grom will hand over 500 Gold out of his coin bag

I'm so sorry I missed this! You can add a ring of protection (skinned as bracers for our purpose) to your inventory and subtract 400 gold.
The owner smiles and says "Discount on these bracers since you lot bought so much! Go back again!
If you're looking to head to the under city (where the dwarves reside).. you can ask around.. you might find a shortcut, or you can retrace your steps and then Grom will know where to go from there.
You retrace your steps and end up outside of the pawn shop once again. Instead of the crowd being dispersed as you would have expected after Shake's performance ended, they now stand around gawking and gossiping at a group of guards talking to the proprietor of the pawn shop outside the front door. The pawnshop owner looks angry, but he rubs the nape of his neck as if he has a headache...
Alten will try to get a sense of what's happened with the pawnshop owner. I'll pick out a couple of bystanders who look and sound like they might know what's going on. I'll try to apply the ol' charm.

There appears to be some well-to-doers near the front of the crowd, but still off to the side away from earshot of the guards (but, not line of sight). They are humans dressed in merchant attire and are conversing loudly. You catch, "Well I told you this would happen.. if.. and.."
Would you like to approach them?
The rest of the crowd looks like commoners that were either watching Shake's performance or just passing by at a later point.

"Suit yourself," the keeper shrugs.
"You could try using that old cloak to muffle the noise" the owner chuckles as she points to Arxius, [EDIT:] "But, in all seriousness I have one more cloak made by elves.. it will cost you 500 gold though."
You can add one cloak of protection to your inventory and remove 500 gold please.
Done.
Alent hands over the 500gp

I'd say just exit back out and go where Grom already knows.

yea, as fun as a shortcut sounds unless anyone wants to go that way for sure, lets back out and take the normal routes

Ok...

Absolutely.
Approach with a smile and try to use Alten's natural charm (that I don't necessarily posses in real life LOL).
Pardon me. but can you tell me what happened here?
