There is a saying among humans that whenever you meet a dwarf - never insult their heritage. Bakreag was very much about to reaffirm this saying as truth. The pipe crashes down on the drowsy head with a sickening crunch as bits of bone, blood, and brain matter cover the area. The Guard who had been passively watching had started to raise their crossbows the moment before Sarith became nothing more than a corpse littering up the slave pens.
"Dammit!" One of them cursed aloud. Without waiting a second longer they let loose two crossbow bolts placed with drow poison. With nowhere to run, there would be no chance to evade. Even missing the first volley would just mean more would fly. But before you are hit by the crossbow bolt you notice something strange about the drow you had just killed. Namely that bits of his brain matter were not the fleshy pink stuff you had come to expect. Indeed, some bits are yellowish brown in color, as if a mold had begun to fester.

BAKREAG - THE ESCAPE
Bakreag felt a flash of satisfaction at the death of the irreverent Drow, followed by a moment of confusion at the state of the brain matter of the Dark Elf he had just slain, and then a sharp pain. He let out a surprised yell from the impact of the projectile, and spun around to face the guards. "Dammit!" He cried, reaching for the pipe. As he did so, the Dwarf stumbled with little coordination and finally met Cobalt at the wall, the bolt still lodged into his shoulder, the putrid poison seeping towards the wound.

At someone's mention of his previous escape, Bezel mutters,'
"From chains and voices, I ran. But not from... this. Magic and the power of the drow... no... not that!"
The skinny, white-haired tiefling, who crouches down frozen by a crippling anxiety for a few minutes staring around in wonder at the cell as though unsure how or why he was there, watches the unfolding violence against their fellow prisoner with growing horror. When the captive drow has his head split open without resisting, Bezel's clear white eyes go large, as he edges around to the corner of the cell furthest from Bakraeg. Bezel stares in uncertainty as the prisoners seem to group up or move about individually with fixed purpose. The stick-thin, horned young man only grips a pointed shard of stone before him like a talisman as he sinks into the shadowy corner, all the while whispering,'

Bakreag, having resisted the Drow poison, and seeing that Cobalt has already established a means of ambush, took a temporary breather. However, this did not last for long, as he saw the child Kenku being practically manhandled by the Orc that had been tormenting the prisoners for days. Chapter One - Drow Captives AKA The Gang Tries to Escape a Drow Outpost
The bio-luminescent fungus above provided just enough light to allow everyone to witness the slaughter of a drow captive who did not even fight back. The moment it happened the guards opened fire on Bakreag and poisoned him. But the dwarf was too sturdy to be brought down by some drow muck and retained his strength. Seeing a problem, the drows would realize that this was more than two guards could handle. From their relative safety of being outside the Slave Pens, one said a quick few words accompanied by some hand gestures and a blue-white flare launched into the darkness above. In the webbing above your prison you could see tens of giant spiders crawling around on webs, scurrying away from the light.
The escape had begun and would succeed or fail on the captives choices.
Bell and Bakreag
((Cherri, yes you can roll Intimidation! Cornpuff, unfortunately it's not flanking as Bell is currently being grappled.))
Ront wrapped one of his still muscular forearms tight around Bell's waist, aiming to ping her wings and arms to her side. But Bell was non-compliant in this regard. Her furious fluttering and squirming in his grasp unnerved him enough that he simply tossed her aside - directly into the path of Bakreag. If nothing was done, the two would collide into each other. Harmless, but a distraction nonetheless.

Lucina, Bezel, Lynistra, and Nam
With the help of Nam, Lucina's chains slip off of her wrists. The drow's iron isn't shoddy by any means but when you have a lot of slaves not every shackles is going to be tight enough to stay on. Lynistra finds a helper in Bezel, who assist her with removing her own chains through brute force. With Bezels help, the chain holding her wrists together snaps. The shackles remain, but she now has freedom of movement in her arms. But the drow are not sitting idle while this occurs. As one goes to open the gate - unaware of what lies in wait on the other side - the other raises their crossbow. Their target is very clearly Lynistra. "Get down!" A female dwarf - one of the other prisoners - leaps in between Lynistra and is struck by the crossbow bolt. A quick cursory inspection reveals that the bolt found its mark a little too well - piercing her in the throat. In moments, she will gag on her own blood and die. The Myconid nearby lets loose a horrified squeal at this and rushes towards a corner, a wave of spores emanating outwards from it in a fruitless attempt to defend itself.
Cobalt and Marty
The gate finally opens and one of the drow step through, crossbow raised. It would be the last move he would make as the crossbow bolt Cobalt had prepared would find its way into his neck. He was dead before he hit the ground. He had been carrying a Hand Crossbow, 18 bolts, and a Shortsword. Marty attempts to run past the drow and in the commotion is successful in getting past the other guard - who is too busy cursing the death of another slave. However, he does not spy the shortsword on that drows hip and therefore cannot take it.
The remaining drow guard steps towards Cobalt with its hand crossbow out and takes aim - only to be interrupted by a rampaging orc plowing through the drow and knocking him to the ground. "Ront done with this place, weaklings can die to drow spiders!" Ront takes off cackling at what must have been funny to him as he heads seemingly towards a locked gate - probably the one that Eggbert had mentioned earlier. Fresh on his heels are the two gnome were-rats, cackling to each other as they go.

Lucina looks up hearing the noise going on, gritting her teeth she turns her gaze to working off Nam's shackles now that her own hands were free. After helping Nam, she helps Bezel seeing that he is helping Lynistra out at the moment.
