"I am sure you are probably stronger than me friend, it is all about leverage!"Thrak would say with a grin as he pointed towards his hooded head. "My legion discovered long ago that my mind was mightier than my arm... which was why they gave me this" he would say as he pulled a thick leather bound spell from his belt and slammed it on the table. "I am still a novice when it comes to the arcane but I am getting better all the time. He would say before licking the book back up and securing it tightly to his belt with thick leather straps. At the mention of coin, The hobgoblin would perk up and turn towards the newcomer. "I would definitely be interested in making some coin." he would reply with great interest.
Ekk stops his cowering at the sound of “coin”. His ears perk up as he hops up to stand on the stool. “Coin?! Count me in, yeah yeah yeah.” His nervousness has shifted to pure excitement.
(Haha nice. But Darren is plain in dressing. So no rings. What you do notice is bruised knuckles, and some slightly crooked that may have broken before)
Xavnan just watches in wonder at the activities going on around the table. To anyone watching this group it would look like a gathering of close friends, people who had known each other for years. As another strange creature is added to the cluster the bard starts to second guess his decision to join the table.
Just as he was thinking of slinking off an old lady speaks up. Within a matter of moments, most of his new 'companions' had pledged their help. "Depends what job would you have need of us to complete for you. How much coin are we looking at for payment of said job?"
The motherly woman moves over to your table, and sits at one of the empty seats. She looks at each of you in turn, and you notice a brief tear in her eye, which she quickly wipes away. She the says to you,"Well, my name is Kerowyn Hucrele, and I come from a nearby village, named Oakhurst. There was a group of local adventurers who went to investigate the Sunless Citadel about a month past. They were never seen again. The leader of the party was Sir Bradford, a Knight of great renown, Karakas a female Elf Ranger, and my children Talgren Hucrele, a fighter, and Sharwyn Hucrele a wizard. These are the two I care most about. For going into the Citadel, I will give you salvage rights. As for the reward, if you can find my children and bring them back I will offer you 125 dragons each, if you cannot bring them back at least bring back their signet rings and I will still offer the same amount. If you're able to bring them back in good shape, of sound mind and body, then I will double your reward. Are you interested in taking up the offer?"

Thrak would watch the woman and listen to her words with his head down so that his face was not visible to her as he listend. After a moment he would look to her and lock eyes. "I cannot speak for everyone at this table, But I will assist you with this task. I agree to your terms" He would say with a smile.
"So this task is not down the well?" Looking around at the rest of the group. "I have some time to spare for a mother that cares that much about her missing children."
This was the moment he had been waiting for. A chance to make his own story. Collecting a few rings seemed like an easy task.
"Anything for the children. How do we get to this citadel? Does anyone have a cart for the salvage...oh, and to carry back anyone who might be injured, of course."
Kerowyn looks at Rivon and says, "I'm sure there is a cart you can either rent or buy in Oakhurst, if you need to. Are there any other questions you want to ask me?"

"They were investigating the Goblins. Every year, they sell us an apple of perfect hue. Now, this is no ordinary apple, it heals anyone with any disease or other ailment. They sell it to us for 50 dragons, we wouldn't possibly pay anything more to a bunch of foul Goblins." She gives a sidelong glance toward Cade as she says this. "Any way, every year we plant the seeds, and every time, when they get to about 2 feet tall, some one comes and pulls them up. We believe it's the Goblins doing it, so that we don't grow our own magic apples."
Thrak eyes would narrow at her insult to Cade. "Ms... I would ask that you not insult those offering to help you" The hobgoblin would say in a firm voice. The voice was not threatening but it lacked the friendly tone of anything he has said so far. After a moment the smile would return to his face. "Do you think you could provide us a map or detailed directions to the citadel?"
Kerowyn looks over at Thrak, "My apologies, but, if you were in the same shoes as our town, you would believe the same thing. Sell us an apple every year, steal our plants before they have time to bear fruit, raid our village. It's the same thing every year."

well seing as how im new around here, im sure she didnt mean anything of it. Theres no way someone would put our friend down into the same category as the others. Especially one so well spoken. And yes, my lady. Anything for a family in need. And where exactly is Oakhurst from here?
Kerowyn looks at the goblin, "I'm sorry sir, you do look a little different than those ones up in Oakhurst. Oakhurst is not quite a day's walk from here, the Citadel is only about an hour more past."

Agreed! In fact, i think thats why we're all here isnt it?
Darren looks around the table and stick his hand out for a hand shake to anyone that will take it
Rivon instinctually checks the hand for rings, but then reminds himself that these are friends. Instead he shakes the offered hand.
