well i would hate to postpone this any more than we have to. So how about we get whatever we need for a 2 day journey, and hit the road first thing in the morning?
Rivon finishes his drink, thanks Cade again for the room and heads up.
Before bed he thoroughly bathes. In the morning he appears in worn but clean and respectable travel clothing, very much upgraded from his street-rat attire. He's bathed and combed his hair. One might struggle to believe this is the same halfling they had smelled the evening before.
(Before we sleep Darren will pay for the one round of ales, minus himself because he had water. Also is any blacksmith open at the current time? Id like to get some kaltrops.)
Though divided in attention at the beginning, the previous remark about Xavnan seeming to trouble him, Cade is quick to refocus on the conversation. But he says nothing, and shows even less aside attentiveness. Even the insult and the defense in his favor elicits no reaction from the stone faced mercernary. Only the mention of the apple curing ailments warranted a quirked brow where all else failed to move him.
"One last question."He says, breaking his silence as others begin filing out for the evening. "Do you know anything about the citadel itself? What race was responsible for it? Or who we might redirect such questions to back in Oakenhurst?" Once he had his answer, he bows his head to her in thanks, polishes off his ale, and sets off to his room.
There he shifts whatever contents of the room is needed to sit and stare at a blank wall for an hour or two, quietly munching on old rations with a 40 yard stare. Sleep eventually claims him, but only in the shadows beneath the bed does he find comfort.

Kerowyn looks over at Cade, and advises him, "No one knows for sure what the Citadel was...but legends hint that it served as the retreat of an ancient dragon cult". As Cade leaves the table, Kerowyn says, "Well, I bid you a fair night."And a little more quietly, "And my deepest apologies."
Cade, please roll a perception check to see if you heard the apology.

Thrak would nod to the woman and take his leave as well. "Gentlemen, I will retire and perhaps in the morning we can gather any needed supplies before heading out on our quest?" he would say with a smile as he leans heavily against his skull covered staff.
Cade's mind is already elsewhere once he had his answers. Even thrak's last minute question is met with little more than a non-committal grunt on the goblin's way out.

Looking through the tavern inside and out for a good nook to hide and sleep for the night. Ekk was accustomed to sleeping in the crawl spaces, barrels, and the top of y’all shelves so he couldn’t be seen; wherever he could find that kept him safe. Taking the best option Ekk will turn in for the night.
Cade does not hear the woman apologize, however, Darren does hear it, and will probably pass it on to Cade at a later time. Xavnan pays 5 shards for a modest room, and Ekk finds a comfortable looking corner in one of the storage rooms behind a few crates. As everyone was heading off to their rooms, you notice Darren leave the Yawning Portal through the front door. Everyone retires for the night, and awakes the next morning. You awake in the early morning as the sun has just crested over the horizon, the birds are singing,an you hear the bustling sounds of a busy city as people are going to and from the market. As you go down to the main area of the Tavern almost all of the crowd that was there the night before has gone home. You do see a familiar face sitting at a table on the main floor, keeping an eye on the stairs. It's Kerowyn. As she see's the first of you come down the stairs, or through the front door, she says to you, "You all left so early last night, I didn't get a chance to give you the map to Oakhurst and the Citadel."

Thrak would make his way downstairs with a raven perched on his shoulder. As he gets makes his way down he would be surprised when Kerowyn approaches him with a map. "Oh, Thank you friend. This will be most helpful in our quest" As he quickly examines the map before tucking it way with his other scrolls and papers. "Thanks" the raven would mimic before the hobgoblin would take a seat at the closest table and order breakfast. Once the others wake up, he would plan to do some shopping before heading out.
Waking up in the store room, Ekk would take the liberty to peruse through the crates he slept behind for anything shiny, potential supplies, or food morsels.
After doing his own “shopping” he will come out to join the others. “This will do quite well, thank you very much.” To Kerowyn.

Ekk searches through the crates and finds 4 rusty knives, 3 crumbling sheet music, 4 gnawed up bones, 3 pieces of mismatched armor, and 4 dulled spear points. You also found 2 slice of pumpernickel bread.
Xavnan comes down whilst the rest are talking to the mother from the night before. "Morning. Have to come to escort us to Oakhurst?"
Carrying his backpack and short bow he places them both down and takes a seat at the table. "So are we going to head off early. Or are things people still require?"
