Though lacking in Thrak's expediency, Cade makes his way down before long fairly more higher in spirits than the prior evening. Aside from bobbing his head in greeting, he says nothing more to Kerowyn. "Why a-...You know what, nevermind. To each his own, I suppose. Nice... bird." He raises brow to it. "I'll be good to go after a light breakfast. Plenty of time, I would hope, for the rest of you lot to grab your supplies. Not much more for me here except a few sights to see another time. When the rest of you are ready..."He trails off there to flag a waitress down to order breakfast; some soup and bread, if they have any available.

Darren walks back in giving a bit of a stretch before sitting down
Hello everyone how did you sleep? Whats that map there Thrak? OH! Cade, im not sure if last night you heard the apology from the older woman of Oakhurst, but she didnt mean to offend.
Darren dusts his head a bit and a small leaf falls to the table. Hes quick to brush it away.
Cade raises a brow at Darren, then glances over to the elder woman -- or at least where she was last. Shaking his head, he pays off the meal while saying, "I appreciate what you are trying to do, Wanderer. But I doubt the truth in them. If you wish to apologies to someone, you make sure every time that it is you speaking the words. And that they most certainly heard it."
"Not that I was particularly offended anyhow."He grumbles while digging into his meal. As soon as everyone looked good and ready, Cade follows Thrak (seeing as he had the map) day's foot journey. At least if they are to conserve any money.

As soon as you are ready to leave, you head out on your journey. It takes almost a full day to reach Oakhurst (unless you purchase/rent another form of transportation. I'm assuming you guys are walking there.) The sun is just getting ready to set, and you can see the town of Oakhurst on the horizon. Oakhurst is not a large village and you are starting to pass some of the outlying farms of Oakhurst, you notice the farmers are starting to bring the livestock in, which seems a little odd to you. As you approach Oakhurst you noticed the major population here is Human with a sizable minority of Halflings; you also notice a small scattering of other races, none of which though are Goblinoid.

"If we come across any light armor... I wouldn't mind getting a set" The hobgoblin would say as they with a smile as his gaze moves from his companions to the farmers. "I wonder if they have problems with wolves... or something... attacking their livestock at night" He would wonder aloud.
"I assumed the salvage would be from the corpses of the adventurers... I mean a horse and cart might not be a bad idea if you think we are going to be able to make use of them" The hobgoblin would say before nodding to the raven on his shoulder and sending it up into the are with a flap of its black smoke-like wings, Thrak would communicate telepathically as the raven circles around the group... staying almost exactly 100ft out from the group so that it can stay within communication distance.
"Interesting. I was thinking she meant whatever we could carry from the citadel itself. Of course I have no idea if there are any valuables to be had there."
During their travels, Xavnan plays his flute. A few sea shanties that he had learnt in his time away. (Performance 18)
On arrival at the outskirts of town, he looks around at the rest of the group. He is not sure how the town is going to react to some of the members within this motley group. He has had experience before calming a crowd after one of the crew has angered a town official so he was sure he could persuade some farmers that they are friendly. The goblin may be the hardest one to sell if what the Mother had said was true. He was ready for the challenge.
"Mn. Costs too much either way right now. Worry later." Cade says after shaking a look of melancholy from his face. An expression worn ever since the group reached the outlying farms, and Xav's tune reached his ears. Naturally lured back to the passing sight by Darren's words, Cade squints at the act as well. "Usually. Family was more of the crop sort than livestock. But occasionally, me and brothers used-...." He catches himself, and clears his throat roughly.
"Anyways. Unless these goblins they've been dealing with have decided to escalate things to livestock stealing, I can't imagine why they would bring them in so soon. We can-... One of you should ask them about it. See if we might have more than just... my kind to deal with. In the meantime, we find an Inn, rest up, and come early morning we hit the citadel. If we're lucky will catch any on guard duty off-guard towards the end of a shift. And avoid playing into their strength trying to hit the place this evening." He looks to Thrak expectantly, as if seeking his confirmation on the facts.
"Give us more time to ask about those other adventures as well. Get a feel for their personality, and figure how they might've approached things... and how might've been exploited to be gone for so long." He shrugs. "At least that's my 2 nibs."

Ekk takes the bread as breakfast and stowing the four pieces of selling it if it is in any condition while the others shop. He leaves the other stuff.
“We could always get the horse and cart on the way back if we need it?”
