(Just a heads-up I'm going out of town for an extended weekend. If I don't post tomorrow, my actions are attempting to take down the larger animals, potentially stepping out into the path to stop them from hitting others. Can still go into rage, and stack reckless attack / ancestral protectors.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Falaine smashes into the boar with her scimitar as it charges at her but the thick hide absorbs most of the blow. It then attempts to gore her with its tusk.
Attack on Falaine: Attack: 22 Damage: 10 (if the attack hits, Falaine suffers 8 slashing damage and she must make a DC13 strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
The group watches as the boars that made it past them charge off into the distance causing maheim in the town square. The group considers running after them but see a large pack of very hungry hyenas advancing through the gate now.
Do you go to the town square after the boars or do you stay and fight off the hyenas?
"Protect the gate!" Finan cries out, reaching back a hand to put one of the escaped boars in a magical slumber. It is one of the few things he can do to stop the creature, and he was scared of the consequences, but the guards in the city proper should be able to deal with a single one. Perhaps the guards at the top of the fortifications around the gate would have some clever ideas as well.
As the arcane energy travels to meet the boar running off in the distance, Finan turns his attention back to the one grunting and squealing right next to him, too busy trying to dodge those tusks to feel either panic or fear.
Mechanics & OOC:
Turn: Action: Casting Sleep at L1 at one of the two escaping boars (or both, although I doubt I can roll high enough to drop both): 21 Move: - Bonus: -
OOC: I'm fairly certain some of you should still have 5 temp HP, if you didn't catch any damage since the last battle
Paren turns to face the hyenas. "These don't look fun." He sets the blade of his rapier into the half-circle notch on top of his shield and prepares to meet the rush. He yells back over his shoulder to Falaine, "I've got some new tricks up my sleeve as well. Toirneach!"(thunderous smite)The symbol in the centre of his shield glows green and the blade of his rapier begins to spark with small bolts of lightning. He then charges the first hyena in the pack and swings out with his blade.
Attack: 14 Damage: 8
Thunder Damage: 4 and it must make a strength save DC10 or be knocked 10 feet back and prone.
If she's knocked prone, Falaine will stand up and use her action to activate Symbiotic entity and she'll use her reaction to activate Halo of Spores on the boar that attacked her.

Finan's magic takes hold on the weakest looking boar but he finds that the boar has more endurance than he had planned. With a loud snort it continues between the crowds of the busy street and out of sight.
Paren's strike smashes the malnourished hyena and sends a loud crack of thunder through the street. The other hyenas nearby are tossed backward and on their hinds but look ready to pounce back onto Paren at any moment.
Tanni's hammer slams into the boar doing a large amount of damage and the boar snarls back at her in anger.
Jonathan advances to the nearest boar (BF) and recklessly attempts to stab his rapier through its hide (Attack: 20 Damage: 6
The pack of hyenas snarl and pounce back at Paren after regaining their balance doing their best to surround the one that just smashed their leader into the dirt road. They all look seriously wounded and barely standing but attempt to bite at Paren.
H1 Attack: 3 Damage: 3
H2 Attack: 22 Damage: 5
H3 Attack: 18 Damage: 3
H4 Attack: 10 Damage: 6
The boar that Tanni narrowly killed snaps back at her
BT: Attack: 6 Damage: 6
Finan turns back toward the boar that first charged him and sees it rear back its head in attempt to bite at him!
The boar before Falaine snarls as her magic envelops it. It attempts to take a bite out of her!
BFa: Attack: 7 Damage: 11
((Back to party initiative. There are 3 boars attacking members of the party (BT, BF, and BFa) and there are 4 hyenas left attacking Paren. The other two giant boars made it past the group and out of sight))
Paren manages to dodge out of the way of three of the hyenas but the fourth sinks its teeth into his arm. He shakes it off, once again letting out a string of curses in elvish. He looks at the four surrounding him and gives a slight smirk. "Cum'on then you beasts. Let's dance," he says in a slightly different voice before charging back in to the fray.
Attack on H3: 22 Damage: 11

Unaware of the second boar also making its escape, Finan dodges and punches with his open hand to ward off the attack, then after a quick kick to its side uses the open room to take a jab with his rapier, hoping to strike deep and finish this harried combat. He is aware of Jonathan coming to his aid, but his attention is now focused on staying out of harms way with the giant boar up in his face.
Mechanics:
OOC: Does Finan notice Paren's change in voice?
Turn: Action: Rapier vs BF: Attack: 24 Damage: 10 Move: - Bonus: - (Yes, everyone, I'm aware of Bardic Inspiration. I'm holding on to it, we might need Mantle of Inspiration at some point in this combat ;) )
Falaine will look back and forth between the Boars and Hyenas. She'll then say "Hold the line! I'll take care of the Boars." She'll then use wild shape to turn into a panther and charge off after the Boars.
LOL Rylentlar, you just don't want to play with us do you? ;p
And Sidewinder, you know this but for Cromusz' sake; Maybe in the heat of battle Finan might not notice, he's only got a passive insight of 12 after all... Just want to check if he a) notices, b) doesn't notice, or c) needs to roll off for it.
(OOC: I do, this is one of the few characters I've made that's decisive and independent. So, I'm trying to make choices true to the character. I plan on rejoining once the Boars are disposed of.)
would notice that Paren sometimes sounds different while under high amounts of stress. It would be like hearing a priest curse where it sort of breaks that perfect image you may have imagined in your head of someone of the order.
Finan pierces into the boar as it struggles to continue its fight. The blood oozes from the creature like a thick molasses.
Paren smashes into the hyena causing similar destruction as the creatures look to be rather weak and malnourished. The others continue their fight though they are very wounded.
As Falaine morphs into another creature and bounds off, the boar snaps at her with its tusks. BFa: O-Attack: 21 Damage: 7. She then disappears into the crowd that's started scattering in a scared panic.
"Stupid beast, die already!" Tanni shouts as the boar still stands after her blow. When the boar snaps her, drawing blood, her face grows dark and the tell-tell-signs of electricity start crackling around her fists and head. With a scream, she strikes the boar once more and a bolt of electricity flies off her.
Mechanics:
Attack: Reckless attack, Attack: 22 Damage: 18, enemies have an advantage on attack rolls against Tanni until my next turn.
Bonus Action: Rage, activating Storm Aura. (Target hyenas if they are within 10 ft, otherwise target the boar in front of Tanni.) Target takes 1 Lightning damage, halved on a successful DC 14 Dex-save
OOC:
Sorry for a late post. Wrote my action on friday, but forgot to hit the post-button...
Tanni fells the boar before her splattering the odd colored blood across the street. As energy pulses around her, she watches as one of the hyenas stutters and falls to the ground dead as well.
The boar that was fighting Falaine disappears into the crowd toward the town square.
It takes a bit of time, but the group is able to kill the last boar and the last hyena at the gate. The boars seem especially hardy and hesitant to going down as though they were driven by survival instinct and getting through was their only means to live.
Taking a moment to catch your breath, you see that they hyenas look nearly starved. Their mangy fur clumped and torn from attacks by other beasts. The boars are swollen and unnaturally distended. The purple blood that escapes their wounds pools into thick clumps on the dirt road.
The guards on the ramparts descend down the ladders and begin to assist in the clean up. There doesn't seem to be any further threat beyond the gate.
