Seeing the civilian depart so suddenly, Badger cries out with a pained expression: Civi!! ... then shrugs and says matter-of-factly: Oh well, I never really liked him anyway.

Then turning to the others after Mal's invitation, Badger stammers and says mumbling: W-well... Urgh! I suppose this is the way out then. Um... it's just that I think I left something back in the... There are still all those books to read and... Well, I think I'd like to stay around here a little while longer. A few years probably. Well, permanently, actually. Yes, it's rather grown on me. Um... Silas, Sickle... if there is a reward or whatever from Lady Syndra, then you can have my share. Thanks for... everything.

Badger looks down at the ground and shuffles his feet. The toad on the gnome's head ribbits as if to challenge anyone who would object.

Mal walks over to Badger saying, "If you want to stay, go ahead and stay, I won't stop you." Then when she gets close she will grab badger and attempt to toss him through the portal. "No way am I letting you and your ego stay in a place like this, this land has had enough Acererack's we don't need another."

Badger vanishes as he's pushed backwards into the pool, hitting the pillar.  

Sickle grins at Mal and also shakes his head disapprovingly and leaps over, touching the pillar and vanishing. 

Mal, Grenk are left alone to rule the temple....or not.  Actions?

"Not looking forward to the words Badger is sure to have for me on the other side, you want to go first or want me to go through?" Mal asks Grenk.

Silas sighs before he ventures in, half trusting his deathg ward is enough to keep him safe against what is on the other side.

(Oops, sorry Silas!)

Silas steps into the pool and touches the pillar and vanishes. 

Grenk laughs as Badger is pushed though.  He jumps though as well hoping to be done with this place for good.

The wall of moist hot air that slams into each of you as you emerge, standing near the obelisk at the front of the temple, is breathtaking.  As is the sound. The sound of wind...of insects buzzing, of bird call, and lizard croaks, and monkey screeches. As sweat immediately begins to prickle everyone's skin....droplets forming in record time, and the familiar incessant sound of bugs buzzing right near your ear start itching at your brain, you look around.

Round 1:  Badger, when you are unceremoniously shoved into the obelisk and appear here, you see the civilian. He is on his knees in the greenery. He has tufts of vines and leaves grabbed in his hands, and his eyes are filled with tears as he looks around at the ancient ruined city. Bright blue plumed birds swoop overhead crying out as they do so.

Round 2 : Sickle appears, the half-orc druid looking around, taking a few steps towards a bush and grabbing the leaves.  He smiles a true smile at Badger and takes in a deep breath as a drip of sweat trickles down his forehead.  Silas, you appear a moment later....your heavy framed body sprouting damp sweat all over it instantly.

Round 3 : Grenk appears. (Followed presumably by Mal?)

Badger appears from the obelisk and sprawls onto the ground, spell components scattering around him, and his lofty toad cast into the scrub where he hops away with an indignant croak. The gnome picks himself up from the ground and hops madly around, seemingly unable to decide whether to pick up his scattered belongings, beat helplessly against the obelisk, or just rant with frustration. Of all the... Does this work in reverse? Maybe if I... Oh bother, where are my... Who does she think she is? Wait until I... Wait, maybe those key stones are still... Oh no, that was the last of my bat guano! However am I going to replace... until finally he just slumps down on the ground and softly moans: All those spellbooks...

"It is not like the tomb was destroyed," Silas states as he looks around, swiping the seat off his face, "There are still there. Just open the door again. Maybe you can mount an expedition with your reward,"

Grenk scratches his head, "You want to go back for the spell books?  You do realize that we didn't kill Acerack dont you?  All of us, and then some dead gods were needed just to run him off.  If you went there alone and he showed up, do you think you could take him on your own?  If you do, I don't know if to call you brave or just stupid."

As Badger, Mal and Grenk appear in the clearing, they notice the distinct lack of their companions. The gods are no longer with them. The powers they bestowed are likewise gone. 

I don't know about 'brave', replies Badger, but I feel decidedly less cautious now. Certainly as long as I have this staff I don't think it will matter where I am if Acererak wants it back, and I'd feel much safer underground and studying spells than tramping through dinosaur-infested jungles. The diminutive wizard sighs again, a deep and forlorn sigh. Oh well, at least I still have the spellbooks from those Thayan wizards. Perhaps I'll spend some time studying in Kir Sabal or Port Nyazeru, and then think about coming back.

As Mal watches Grenk gleefully jump though the portal she pauses and then brings out the ring, turning it over in the palm of her hand.

What to do with you, I don't necessarily want to just leave you here for "Ace Face" to find, as that could prove disastrous. Who knows what powers you might grant to one as evil as him. I tried to destroy you by tossing you in lava but that did not work. I wonder if I could attempt to trap you in that mirror back there but I might have to look at it as well trapping myself, and I still have some living I want to accomplish. I supposes I could go back to that weird wall maze and bury you inside there, but that still leaves a chance that you would be found. I don't necessarily want to bring you back to Chult either as I have a sinking feeling others are in search of your great power and I have a bit of regret lying to the others.

Then she looks at the black pillar in front of her, Wonder how long that thing will be around as well, as I don't want to get caught in this hellish place either.

Then she will turn to the blob on her shoulder, chuckles and asks it, "Do you have any thoughts on what to do with this ring?"

The blob on her shoulder looks at her with a childlike face, and shrugs silently....offering her no guidance what so ever. 

Yea I figured you would be of no help, as she smiles at the creature.

Well ****!

She puts the ring back down in a deeper pocket and then leaps through the portal, I am going to regret this I just know it.

Stumbling back into the jungle the heat pressing down upon her she smiles. "Well it's nice to be out of that hellish place, let's make our way back to town as quickly and as quietly as we can. If I remember correctly there is still that T-Rex somewhere out here not to mention more of those Yuan-ti. How is everyone doing?" As she smiles at everyone including Badger, "Sorry friend for shoving you, but it was in everyone's best interest for all of us to leave that place."

"Badger, we are now out of there.  You think you can teleport us back?  Is that even a think you can do?  Is it within your power?" Grenk asks.
