Alek looked at his companions after he contenplated their options. "I vote that we take a short rest and push forward.", The sorcerer said confidently.
The group, after some discussion, decides to go back to their tower to rest. Having had some bad luck with the local pests inhabiting the house, they decide it is best to get some rest and return when better prepared to take on the house's dangers.
The trip back to the tower is uneventful and the group returns to find Quilla waiting for a report. She looks over the group's state and frowns at Grahl's wounds. "Guess that did not go as well as it could have then..." She says as she steps to the door to the kitchen. "Marvin, can you come in here, it appears we have some people in need of some healing..."
The cook comes in and glances over the group with a nod of greeting. He moves to Grahl and casts Cure Wounds on him, bringing him up to full hp.
Is anyone doing anything back at the tower, or is it just a rest then go back out situation? Anything anyone wants to get or do before resting and preparing to head out again?
Dezlo is going to take the time to look over her supplies and Ruff, making sure nothing is overly damaged and that her lazy mount is still in good health despite the tussles they've gotten in earlier in the day. She'll also take a little bit of time to put away some of her inventory in her room that don't feel as necessary now that they've visited the place they're meant to investigate, to free up some extra space and make Ruff's packs a little lighter for him. The kobold also takes a few minutes to make a quick record of their progress in the Whisper Jar, animatedly rushing through a description of the weasels and centipedes and how annoying it is even bugs seem to be bigger than her in this place.
OOC: If this is a long rest she'll take the time to replenish her lay on hands, otherwise she's good to go as is without complaint! She's not going to push to stay for a long rest unless the group are planning on one anyway.

I was seeing this as a long-rest sort of thing, so let me know if you guys want something different. A short rest could have been done at the haunted house after all. I believe a long rest was desired so that the casters could replenish their spells, so will plan on that unless told differently.
Orgen takes a sits at the table and says to the cook, " When you're done with him take a look at my harm. It doesn't look serious, but better safe than sorry." He begins writing in a sheet a parchment while he waits.
After he got a warm meal from the cook, Alek went to his room contenplating the events of the day and what they had to improve to perform better tomorrow. They needed to get the contract done if they wanted to be taking seriously by the city council and others who might consider giving them a job in the future.
The next morning, after everyone got a long rest in, they gather back in the conference room. Quilla is there, as usual, but Marvin, the cook, is not. Instead there is a new person... "Well, due to the unfortunit results from yesterday's outing, I have had to let Marvin go, since he should have traveled with you to the Haunted House." Quilla informs the group. "Marlo Barrowbear here is his replacement." She nods to the new person, her coppery hair waving a bit with the curt motion. "Hopefully this will help with the second attempt to fulfill our contract..."
(OOC: Marlo go ahead and introduce your character...)
Grahl awoke in the dungeon feeling rested and reenergized. His experience yesterday at the haunted house reminded him of how long it had been since he had done any adventuring...and that he might be a bit rusty. Shaking off the cobwebs, he bounded up the stairs to the main common area, eager to see when they would be able to get back to the house and find out what was really going on.
GRAHL TO QUILLA: (after she introduces Marlo) “Does he know how to make coffee?”
Belle, an almost impossibly cute young woman, gives Marlo a smile of greeting. "Hi..." She says, a bit shyly. She has hair a dark chocolate in color, nearly black. She fittles with a strand of it as she takes a seat at the table. "I am Belle, Secretarian and Wizard." Seh says in way of introduction.
Alek, after a long and dreamless slumber, joined the rest of the group in the conference room. The new blood Marlon looked like a friendly guy and the Sorcerer greeted him with a courteous nod before seating himself on the nearest empty chair.
Orgen shakes Marlo's hand. The tall blonde dwarf saying, "Greetings my friend glad to have you. Excuse me I'm going to step outside for a bit." He leaves out the front door.
Once outside, Orgen walks farther into the forest that laid outside the tower. Reaching a tall oak he calls out, "Loki you there?" A large black raven flutters down from the tree lands perched on a boulder that brought it easily in reach of the Dwarf. On the back of the raven, a round container that was secured to the back with a harness with a small latch securing it from being open. Pulling out his notes that he took of his current location, his companions, their current mission. He writes down a quick note of the Halfling that has now join the group. Opening the container he looks inside for any messages written to him. If there was any there he would take them out and read them. Afterward, if there isn't any or after he finishes reading them he will give Loki his report and notes. Securing the latch he says to Loki, "Fly home boy." The raven flies off into the sky. He then destroys any of the messages he received.
After an hour of being outside Orgen steps back in and says, "All right everybody ready to go?"
(Terrible sorry for the delay, I hadn't received notifications for the forum because I was yet to post on it.)
Marlo Barrowbear stood at 3ft2 a merry skip in his step as he was led into the room. The dark blue bucket hat upon his head covered his messy black hair. He wore a jacket and pants of similar colour, along with a white buttoned up top, under the jacket.
His eyes were bright and wandering, the young Halfling was full of life. "Well I say, this is the warmest of welcomes! Hello, my new chums! I am Marlo Barrowbear, and I am simply gigglish with delight to be working with you all." His overly talkative disposition was matched only by his whimsical nature. "Later, I will have to cook a fine meal of many scrumptious delicacies, to celebrate my introduction to all of you smashing individuals." He claps his hands together for emphasis, a toothy, enthusiastic grin crossing his face.
After the meeting broke up, everyone gathered together outside the tower. Soon you were all off taking the same path back to the haunted house. Less townsfolk walked with you this day, though there were still a few who saw you off again.
After about an hour of hiking you reach the house once more. What do you do?

Lupin votes for going back #longrest

(OOC: if we go with a short rest, Grahl will spend his hot die to recover 12 hit points. If not, he is happy to return to the tower with the team.)
