Orgen after some inspection pushes what looked to be a loose stone in. This activated a mechanism that opens the door. The door slides open with a low scraping noise of stone moving against stone before stoping open into the passage beyond, "Alright lads follow me," he says taking point.
Unable to think much for himself in his current state, and figuring that Orgen knew what he was doing, a still unnerved Marlo pitter-patters behind, following after him. He takes a deep sigh, trying to calm himself.
OOC: @DragonDenn Dezlo inspected the winerack on the other wall a bit ago for the sake of making sure there weren't any other hidden passages or something! just to clarify before we move on!
Having not had much luck with spotting or avoiding traps, Grahl acquiesces the lead to the others and decides to take up watch at the rear instead to make sure no waylayers sneak up behind them.
GRAHL TO THE GROUP: “I’ll cover our flanks...ya know, ta make sure nobody kidnaps the halfling...”
(OOC: Grahl will draw both of his daggers in preparation to fight an enemy in close quarters.)
Dezlo watches the rest of the group slowly start to investigate the space, and nods, happy. It's good they seem to be getting into some sort of rhythm for working together on this investigation even if it hasn't gotten off on the best foot so far. Wanting to make sure they don't miss anything, and to also contribute, she goes to check the wine racks; given the door Alek has discovered it might be best to make sure nothing else is hidden behind what's left of the bottles and racks.
"Best to not be leaving anything to chance. Too many things been going bad to not be thorough, yes?"
Investigation:13
Dezlo finds an unbroken bottle under the rack, still filled with wine.
This torchlit chamber was once a large cellar, but it has since been converted into living quarters. Ten crude beds stand along the south wall, each with a wooden locker at its foot.
A long wooden trestle table ringed by rickety stools dominates the center of the room. Metal cutlery, cups, and dirty plates sit atop the table.
A cookstove is installed near the table, and evidence of recently cooked meals sits in pots atop it. A large ham hangs from a loop of twine near the stove.
A sturdy set of stairs leads to a trapdoor in the ceiling above. There are two wooden doors in the east side of the room.
A single figure is moving towards some shelves on a wall, clearly startled by your appearance. Even as you enter, the shelves there slide aside and the figure disappears through a secret door. It closes behind him.
Not sure what use it would be, but happy that there's at least not anywhere for more nasties to pop out from, Dezlo stashes the bottle in Ruff's saddlebag to look over later, before rejoining everyone as they enter the next room. Hearing Grahl's suggestion she nods before maneuvering herself and her mount a little closer to the druid in their midst.
Dezlo to Marlo:"Do not be worrying; Dezlo will be right at your side! Adventures are being much less scary with friends, yes?"
"Th-Thanks..." Marlo responded to Grahl's concerns about him being kidnapped, laughing a little sheepishly, as he followed the group. Being the newest member of the group, Marlo was among the least familiar with this place, and this accompanied with his sudden bout of worry left him rather dependent on his new crew.
Dezlo's words would be soothing to the halfling, however. Marlo turned and smiled at the kobold. "Indeed, you are right. I must apologize, this is ever so unlike me. Thank you."
"Eeee!" Marlo screeches as he spots what appears to be a figure on the move. Marlo watches with wide, almost manic eyes as this figure disappears behind a secret door. He cups a hand to his mouth, and makes an embarrassed little cough. "Uh, well I say gang, it seems as though we aren't alone here...joy of all joys, huh?"

Orgen walks to the shelves glancing around at the room. "Well, we ain't dealing with a specter that's for sure," he says looking around the room for clues about their mysterious quarry.
"Someone is actually living down here then..." Belle says as she looks around. "Do we go after that one or check out those doors?" She gestures to the eastern pair of doors. Then she glances at the trapdoor overhead. "Guess that goes back up to the house huh?"
"Well, we know at least one problem is that way now. Let's be looking at other rooms before going forward, so we is knowing nothing bad will be coming up behind us, yes?" She reaches down to give her mount a comforting pat, hoping the cellars aren't making the dog too uncomfortable; he's more used to carrying her down winding paths and long roads than the innards of abandoned homes. She's pleased with how well he's listening to her even in unusual circumstances.
Taking her own advice, the kobold goes to the east side of the room to inspect the doors there for any clues as to which might be more worth opening at the moment, or have distinguishing features.

As his companions searched the room, Alek was kept track of their environment. "Dezlo is right. We shouldn't take any chances and clear all the rooms.", he told the rest of the group.

The door to your left appears normal, but the one ahead has a wooden bar across it, held in brackets on the frame and the door itself. The word “DANGER” is scrawled on that door in the Common tongue using chalk.
Ok, what is everyone doing? Dezlo has checked out the doors, and has a description of both. Which door do you wish to look at more, or what else do you wish to do?
Alek, Grahl, others... What are you doing at this point? You have an entire room to checkout, foot lockers, tables, etc. You have a secret door you know where it is, you have a trapdoor in the ceiling... I need some RP here folks, so we can keep this moving along.
Grahl stands near the door through which the party has entered the room they are now standing in continuously glancing back up the hallway to keep watch for danger approaching from behind. “Th’ trap door obviously leads back upstairs. I suggest we find the bottom of this place and then work our way up. At least that way we can push any remaining threats up leaving us a path to retreat if we have to. Vampires don’t eat what was in that cook pot, so I’m beginning to think there isn’t one. Makes me wonder if ‘DANGER’ does not mean something else too.”

Marlo makes his way cautiously to the shelves where the secret door lies. Not wanting to fall into the secret door and end up separated from the group, he keeps a little bit of distance, while he looks it over, trying to discern anything.
