Donkee stows the bottle of rum in his pack, puts on his mighty rabbit helm and gets on the rope to decend into mad city with his new friends and business partners. It's going to be glorious!
upon getting the tavern and seeing Norlean heading down the rope, Donkee heads to the bar, buys a bottle of dark pirate rum and asks the bartender " what are the odds on that fellow heading down the rope before everyone else has gotten here? I will put 25gp on his safe return and 50gp on my glorious reemergence from the portal..."
Donkee then waits for everyone else to arrive before handing over the entrance fee. They still need to set the marching order...I guess that makes Norlean point man until the rest get here and down the rope.
The Rum costs 5 GP...
"I'm sure there will be plenty of wagers on ye all coming out of there." Durnin says with a nod to Donkee. "I very much doubt if anyone will take yer bet though, since no one likes to wager with those going in, since it tends to be a bet they can never collect on."
When we reach the tavern Norlean fills his flask with whiskey and takes a mug of ale with him down leaving 5 gold on the counter if they allow him to take the cup sipping it in one hand with a javelin resting in the other as they head down the hole
No one stops him from taking the tankard with him.
Taman waits until a few of their group has gone down the rope, then gives his 1 GP to Durnin at the bar, before taking his turn to be lowered down the rope.
Once Taman has gone down the rope, Vaden also descends the rope after paying his 1 GP. he does not look as happy as in your previous meeting with him, but, instead, has a grim set to his face.

Once we are all safely down the rope, we will establish a more firm marching order once the landing area is secure.
Donkee will draw his scimitar from its scabbard and his magic warhammer Donkey Kongfrom his belt and begin to search the landing zone for traps, loot or bad guys.

Soon as he is sure the room is safe he will pace it out and complete a quick sketch in his goblin-skin covered cartographers note book annotating details of the surroundings, including and bodies or bones from previous entrants that failed the landing

When Vaden arrives, Donkee will say to him, " why such a sour face? It's going to be an outstanding adventure...and just think, you will leave this place a kagillion-bazillionaire extraordinaire! And famous to boot"
Secundus will follow, after paying his one gold. He looks at the rope and swallows, realizing that at his age he probably can't actually safely climb down the rope. He briefly considers asking one of the stronger men to come up and carry him down, but ultimately decides that doing so would not be good for his image. Instead, he summons the imp Mache, and casts Mage Hand, which he immediately sends under his foot, and says to his familiar "A little Help?"
Mache, his new light crossbow magically shrunk and attached to his back, scowls at his "master." "That better not be a size joke."
However, he does prop up Secundus' chest, and the old man slowly, painfully, makes his way down the rope. When he is done, he and the imp are sweating and gasping for air; probably not much more impressive than if he had taken a piggy back ride. Mache's thoughts ring in Secundus' ear.
"Are you sure this is better than Death?"
Secundus, a mature nobleman from a good family, flips the imp off.

"I am not use to such work as this." Vaden says with a sigh. He makes an attempt at his normal demeanor but it quickly shifts back to the grim look. He gives Donkee a nod and heads down the rope.
Once at the bottom, Rurik groups up with the rest and also waits for everyone to arrive.
While waiting he looks around at what he can see. Perception 14 He brings out the Whisper Jar, and begins to speak about the topic of Undermountain. Then he realizes he hasn't seen what the Whispered Encyclopedia may contain.
"Guys i forgot, we can see what the Jar may know. Maybe someone has gone here and taken notes before us. And if not, well what a way to add to the Whisper Jar." History 9
While waiting he also casts Find Steed summoning Shadowlight. A pure night black mastiff, with piercing blue eyes, appears before the group. "Hey old friend, good to see you today. We are in uncharted territoriy. I am glad to have you by my side. Keep your eyes, ears, and nose sharp today," Rurik says as he pats Shadowlight on the head and scratches him behind the ears.
S.T. attempts to land gracefully22 as possible and immediately, looks for shadows to blend19 into. He then begins to look around15 the area for for anything that might stand out as peculiar.

At the bottom of the Yawning Portal entry well is a dark, 40-foot-square room with the following features:
Exits. The only exit appears to be a tunnel that leads south before bending west Sandy Floor. A thin layer of sand covers the floor. Hanging Shields. Dented, rusty shields adorn the walls, which are also covered with graffiti.
In his looking around the area, Donkee notices a secret door in the north wall. He also notices a 1-inch-diameter hole bored through it at a height of 5 feet. He has to point it out to the others, since no one else noticed it.
A search of the sand yields some discarded gear: two iron spikes, an empty wineskin, a tinderbox, a pair of pants (sized for an adult human), and a cameo carved in the likeness of a hideous person

Mache Perception: 12
Unless what they perceive changes things, Secundus will release his mage hand, and telepathically command Mache to come to him. He will use his armor of shadows eldritch invocation to cast Mage Armor on the Imp, and then telepathically say to him "You know what to do." Mache will then turn invisible, preparing to scout ahead in the direction the party moves. Secundus at this point will try to move as close to Rurik as possible.

S.T. holds his one gold piece dearly before handing it to Durin. In Donkee's voice he says, "World Famous Adventure Crew" and descends the rope.

Stop Thief and Mache are the only ones to hear the below...
From the other side of the hiden door Donkee pointed out you hear the sound of soft feet moving away from the door.
Mache places his finger to his lips in a classic "hush" pose, pointing at the door. He then turns invisible.
