Zubin nods his head. "Meting out death is always easier than showing mercy," he agrees gravely, giving no indication of choosing the former.
He turns again to the creature.
"Mylady, I do not know if my companions speak Elvish, or the othertongue in which you spoke..."
The half-elf looks at his companions for any sign of comprehension.
"... but you did mention treasure, and treasure speaks all languages. It would go along way to mollify my co-workers if you could.produce some magical trinket to speed uson our way."
"I haven't offered," says the half-elf with a shake of his head. "I'm not sure she could come, anyway. She may be bound to this water. I'm really not inclined to find out." He looks around. "Does anyone disagree? Should I offer?"
“You do make sense. I only ask cuz in some way she may be an asset and she did seem lonely. But if we think it wiser to let her remain then, yeah, all for it.” Shieldbiter responds to Zubin.
If seriously threatened, the nereid might reveal the location of her treasure. At the deepest part of the pool is a grotto hidden behind a bed of kelp. In this cave are six golden statuettes (worth 50 gp each) and a golden mask (worth 250 gp). Also lying in the cache are two crystal scroll cases (worth 25 gp apiece), though water has destroyed the scrolls in them; a silver idol (worth 15 gp), which is actually a bottle holding a potion of clairvoyance; and a pair of gloves of missile snaring.
In elvish the woman says... "Now leave me..." She dives deep into her pool and disappears from sight.
The half-elf gives the water a dissatisfied scowl as the creature disappears. Still staring at the water - or beyond it, at nothing in particular - he says, "Sinsil, how are your eyes?"
“Anyone have a need for any of this at the moment? Otherwise I’m sure we can figure it out with the rest later. The franchise is sure gona be happy when we get back.”
Shieldbiter pulls out the lockbox and takes the lot and tosses it in. (OOC assuming nothing was kept but let me know if that is incorrect I know the potion and gloves may be wanted)
”And as far as where to next Sinsil, I honestly don’t know. Besides that spot back towards the exit I can’t remember if there were other paths to have taken further back. I’ll go with whatever the party decides.”
The only area you have not checked out, further back towards where you started, was the area where Shieldbiter got his magic sword. The hall where the statue toppled over and revealed the crawl space behind it. You went through the secret door there, which then lead you to the pond and the woman the first time. You could have gone north from either the hall with the statue or the crawl space. You did not check out that northern area yet.
Otherwise it is back to where the eagle head was on the wall for the next area.
“Shieldbiter hands the gloves over then says, “actually now that I think about it, I think there was a spot we didn’t look at back by that statue. Wanna keep headin back?”
Moving out of the area with the pond, you find the door to the tunnel still open as you left it...
Water beads collect upon the walls of this narrow passage, and the flooring is cold and damp. A low ceiling, only five feet tall, further cramps this dank place.
The northern entrance to this passage is a block of stone mounted on a central pivot, which has been wedged partially open by accumulated debris.
The location of the southern entrance appears to be a blank wall when initially viewed from within the passage. The portal can be opened from inside the passage by releasing a concealed catch at the intersection of the wall and the ceiling.
You do notice the statue must have been set back up, as the western exit to the tunnel is not htre, just the back of the statue pressed up to where the hole use to be.
“Well how did that happen? Guys, we didn’t leave this statue in place did we? Didn’t it come crumbling to the ground on me?” Shieldbiter asks the party with a concerned tone.
”I can’t imagine that was easy. That thing wasn’t exactly light.”
"Perhaps it's on a reset trigger of some sort? Either way, we didn't want to go that way so there is no need to investigate." Sinsil moves toward the unexplored area. Releasing the catch.
Shieldbiter shakes his head, “Wait, there wasn’t a secondary exit out of that room? I mean I’m all about going elsewhere, but the fact that the statue is back up, could be there is someone or something else here. Shouldn’t we look at both? Although I could be remembering that room wrong....navigator Opal what do ya have on that other room? A way we haven’t been yet or am I wrong?”
"We didn't want to explore in that direction because of the poisoned air," Zubin reminds Sinsil. "With that no longer an issue, a more thorough examination of the tomb's contents will be possible. And profitable. We should see what we can find."

Sinsil will cut her spell short and huff. "Easier if she's dead, but if she parts with treasure then we can be off."

Treasure.

"Alrighty, where to next?"

"Singed, but functional... Yours?"

"I wouldn't mind the gloves, they match my outfit." (Mechanically could be useful being a squishy wizard)

"My eyes? Blue," he replies with a wan smile. Shaking himself out of his reverie, he checks his gear to make sure he's ready to go. "Lead on."
Navigator Opal confirms Shieldbiter's claim.
