When you realize you're doing too much: Signature.
With mighty strikes, Yvan and Courage are able to finish off the Obcisidaemon. You all take a few moments to wait for any more enemies that might appear and catch your breath after the most intense battle that you've ever fought or ever will fight. After about a minute, it becomes clear to you that you have exhausted your enemies' reserves and no more of them will be coming to attack you. With no further obstacles to your path, you go down into the lower levels of the temple, where Turokkin struggles against his seal. You can feel his malice permeating the air as you descend into the depths, but you press on regardless, your resolve strengthened by the many battles you've been through, as well as the bonds that you all share as a family.
You arrive at the sealing chamber and immediately see the sealed door that has kept Turokkin imprisoned for centuries. You hear the almost deafening sound of him raging and smashing against it in an attempt to free himself. Nevertheless, you know what you came here to do and have no fear as you take your positions and begin the sealing ritual. As you speak, you feel a force rushing through you, as you are empowered by the Gods of Light, the countless wielders of the three relics that have lived throughout the ages, and ultimately each other. You see an intricate array of arcane and divine runes begin to light up and Turokkin screams in agony as the light floods into the prison he is sealed in, forcing him back into dormancy. As the ritual finishes, you hear what sounds like a great slamming, as whatever break in the seals that Turokkin created are re-sealed. You all take a moment to revel in your success before returning to the diamond device and returning back to Greywatch Tower.
"We did it, Father. Turokkin has been sealed. He won't be plaguing the planet any time soon." Upon hearing the news, Father Tarkus breaks into tears of joy and it genuinely takes him a moment to compose himself. "I will have to send a message to the king of this. You have saved us all, you deserve to be venerated for the heroes you are." A message is quickly sent to the king. Within a week's time, you make your way to the capital to be honored for your heroics. There is a great celebration, with a parade in the city, a great feast held in honor of your accomplishments, and recognition from the King himself. The bards will sing of your heroics, the chroniclers will place you down in history, and the artists will create statues and paintings of your great deeds, ensuring that everyone remembers The Exploits of Misfit Company.
The End.

(OOC: Debated on actually posting this one, as the above closer was excellent as-is. But since invited to go ahead on, here's me closer.)
For Courage at least, the malfunction of his leg worried him a bit more than Turokkin's seal breaking any time soon. Yet as cavalier as he treated the situation, which would come as no surprise to any given the tiefling's shared history, he promptly got right serious again at any insistence from the others. What was to follow and the connections formed as part of the ritual proved to be an experience that even Courage would not be able to dare remark on later with his usual irreverence. And long after they have returned with news, the echo of events stayed with him, seeming to rob him of the ability to speak or think without drifting off into in reflection.
But within the week the group are left to their own devices, Courage eventually returned to his bright, if though crude self, though.... wanting little to do with /any/ missions, side hustles, or misadventures without a week to relax! Something he encouraged the party to do so, but would understandingly relent with the right reasons put forth. Then there came the official celebrations, accolades, and more. Even for someone as amicable as the tiefling, it all gets old fairly quickly for him. So within a few weeks time, the man announced his retirement to the company at least, intending to find some place quiet to finally live out the remainder of his years. Far quieter than even the manor.
Every now and then however, for so long as the rest stayed together, he'd pop in at the manor near the woods to happily catch up and share any new recipes acquired in his retirement. And if they ever truly needed him in a pinch, no letter or sending would ever be turned down by the nearly dwarf sized tiefling! Such was Courage's plan at least, but who truly knew the future for the old tiefling? No family of blood for sure, for the Company was enough. But it wouldn't be the first time the multiverse was determined to cast him adrift across the planes...
At some point in the months to follow the celebration, one of the staff maintaining the grounds notifies the party of a stranger spotted on the grounds: A rather scrawny and deeply pale skinned man with pupiless eyes in the gardens out back. A man that, should any party member went out to investigate, looked remarkably familiar to them, but far less tired and expressionless. Noting the party members in turn, there's a moment of shared recognition in his eyes before being replaced with confusion. He soon dismissed the concern in a shake of his head, then smile pleasantly. "Sorry for the intrusion. I was told this is where I could find, uhm... well, where are my manners. The name is..."
And so time marches on....

Stella is fully on-board with Courage's recommendation to relax, and spends the time mostly napping and reading, rather like her cat (who does the same thing, just without the reading). She is happy to chat with anyone and enjoys having just...time. Without threat of world ending or another threat, just time for everyone to enjoy themselves.
At the celebration, Stella is stunning in an ice-blue dress that matches her eyes, streaked with gold that compliments her white hair. For a while, she enjoys the party, dancing, laughing, chatting. But a few hours in, she drifts quietly out to a balcony, where she leans against the railing. "I know you're there. You may as well come out, Rilan." Her eyes flash. "Enough judging me from the shadows."
The man that steps out of the shadows looks extremely uncomfortable in his dress suit, the battered sword at his side the only thing that looks like he wants it to be there. His grizzled face is marked with old scars, and his expression is a mix of rueful and grim. "Well, Lady Stella, I suppose you have managed to more than leave behind the stain of your family name." He smiles faintly. "Saving the world, quite the accomplishment. You may consider me impressed."
"I'm not a lady, and I didn't do it to impress you," Stella snaps. "I did it because the world dying is generally considered bad. You were just impressed because you expected the worst of me. And you didn't expect the worst of me because of me, you expected it because you have always, always assumed that I would be like my parents." She turns to face Rilan, eyes flashing, every ounce of her bearing regally furious. "Since the day they were arrested, you have taken the betrayal you felt and put it on me to mend it. You shoved me into dozens of foster families, followed me and watched me my whole damn life. You never even bothered to consider that I might have felt as betrayed as you. That I didn't want to be like them. But let's be entirely clear, Guard Verasci--if it weren't for Furlong, I would have been. Because of you. Because you insisted on treating me like a criminal from the moment my parents were exposed, because with your suspicion and surveillance and trying to force me onto the path you wanted, I almost turned into them simply because you did not want me to." She crosses her arms, looking back at the main celebration, where the Misfits are enjoying themselves (all in their own ways), from Courage quietly participating on the sidelines to Obsidian causing absolute havoc across the banquet tables. "That is my family now. And if you're impressed, if you're done, then you're done. Leave. I don't ever want to see you or anyone who works for you again." She turns and strides inside.
Outside, Rilan blinks, his mouth slightly open from the tirade Stella just unleashed upon him. He turns and departs, slipping back into the celebration and towards the exit.
Inside, Stella is fuming when she suddenly spots a familiar white head. Eyes widening with delight, she races towards the man, who is maneuvering his way quite capably through the crowd despite his cane. "Furlong!" Pulling her butler into a hug, Stella beams, her anger falling away as she embraces her oldest friend.
After everything, Stella is happy to stay at the manor with those who remain. She settles in, helping to capably run the various aspects of the household, and also starts a fencing school in the city. It's entirely possible that once or twice, those at the manor may spot her talking to (or doing more with) a familiar sword-wielding elf at the edge of the woods...
Stella uses her reaction for Defensive Dueling--the Obcisidaemon misses.

When you realize you're doing too much: Signature.
